Chapter 36: Dangerous.....
Max was still in Olympus, the gods were discussing the recent events and he asked permission to look around. Max was not in the mood to 'look around', instead he was thinking hard on what had happened moments before with the gods, especially Zeus.
He had told them about their children, how life is in camp and how Max runs the camp instead of Chiron, to which Dionysus talked about few new things Max had introduced like their kids getting attuned to the powers they got from their godly parents and the Colosseum.
The other gods had thanked Max for doing so and asked him how he went about doing it and were he got the idea, primarily asked by Athena. Max had explained about the three fundamentals: Focus, Intent and Force and the subgroups of Intent.
Max had then talked to Poseidon about Percy, "...Tisiphone had prepared a horde of undead and two manticores, I took on the manticores and Chiron was busy with the Fury, while Thalia, Grover, Percy, Nico and Bianca De Angelo entrenched themselves in a classroom and fought the wave. Chiron got defeated, I killed both the manticore and went to went on to kill Tisiphone with this. Courtesy of two of my best friends Alex Steele and Charles Beckendorf. Sons of Hephaestus."
Max showed them the celestial bronze gun, Hephaestus, Ares and Athena showed keen interest noting the powder used for the bullets. "Powdered greek fire? Ha! They may even outshine me!" Hephaestus was visibly happy. Athena was curious, "How do you handle the kickback of the power it produces. Your muscles do not feel or look strong enough, unless its an enchantment."
Max went on to explain his powers, that he draws his strength from animals he was close with. He introduced Smaragdí to Athena, who quickly liked her. Athena for the first time laughed, to the surprise of many gods, It seemed she also liked Dee's sense of humour.

Max came out from his thoughts when the door opened. Five figures came out in normal size. Hades, Athena, Ares, Hephaestus and surprisingly Hecate. Hades walked quickly and gave Max a big hug, almost threatening to break his break.
[What the- I though Hades was more sombre and a villainous dick who wanted the master bolt. Maybe his priorities have changed. I can't decide yet]. "Thank you Max, for saving my children and for teaching them to use their powers. I can feel Nico getting stronger every time he uses his power."
Athena stepped forward and gave Max a bronze helmet, "Will you give this to Annabeth, it functions like Hades' helm but differently. And thank you for taking care of all of them." "Of course and No need Lady Athena, she is like my own sister." Max replied, he placed the helmet in his bag.
Ares cane up next, "Who's the strongest?" Max without even thinking twice, "Clarisse". Ares simply nodded and gave a knuckle-duster the word [BAMF] written on the punching side. "You...killed Phobos and Deimos. That's impressive. You can keep the chariot. He wont need it no more. He got what he deserved. Traitorous Bastards." he spat the last two words.
Max had gone on a quest to find missing demigod children of Ares who had previously gone on a quest and had not returned. It was a trap set by Phobos and Deimos, godly children of Ares. They were surprisingly easy to kill, considering they were sons of Ares. He used his staff and created roots and trees to lock them down and beheaded them with a replacement sword he was using till his axe was finished. He took their magical chariot that can transform into any vehicle, within reason. This happened a week after the boar incident.
Aphrodite was giving a wide smile, it almost seemed evil. "Tell me Max is there someone you like?" Her face suddenly turned into Thalia's. Max froze, [ I cannot say it here, Zeus cannot know. He'll kill me. I'm not strong enough. SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT...]
Aphrodite said something again stepping forward her eyes glowing, "Ah so its something deeper, something real, something exciting, is it someone you are forbidden from? You can tell me". Max was fighting to keep his mouth shut, his heart was beating fast, he was sweating, he felt sick, his head was swimming. [I have to tell her].
Then the pressure vanished, as if it was not even there. Max looked up, Athena had an arm on Aphrodite's should. "That's enough Aphrodite. You do not use your powers on demigods." Max was furious, his clenched hand now bleeding from his nails brsaking skin, he let out a low growl unconsciously.
Ares reacted instantly, he rushed towards Max like a bullet and punched him. Max broke from the bubbling rage his now broken hands crossed in front of his chest had blocked the strike from Ares. He hit a pillar but slid down and landed on his feet.
"I'm sorry. I hadn't realized what I did. I thank Lord Ares for stopping me from doing something stupid." Max just walked away after receiving a cube of ambrosia from Athena who was glaring at Aphrodite. Aphrodite an the other hand, had blanked out for a second. She had felt fear from this small kid. For the first time in millennia.
Ares had an impassive expression. He was thinking, [A mortal with that much chaotic rage. He is dangerous....very dangerous.] His face broke a rare smile [ He blocked my strike...and still stands. No longer a boy huh? A full fledged warrior. Ha! Too bad he's not my son] Ares looked at Aphrodite's frozen scared-shocked face and sighed.
Max was wincing with every step he took. His arms were healing, the throbbing pain kept him awake or he would have passed out long back from the hit he took. It felt heavier, stronger and faster than the truck which rammed into him, so many years ago.
