Chapter 6: 6
After I finish changing my mom introduces me to the little girl aka Willow and her mom Ms.Steel, I sit with them and get to know more about them she lost her husband in the army and has been a widow ever since. Willow is an adorable little girl she is six years old and knows how to hold a conversation, even when I talk about things a little difficult for her she still tries to follow along and add her own thoughts. When it is time for our moms to leave Willow and I sit down to some food left by my mom, after dinner she ask to play twenty questions to get to know me.
"Do you have a girlfriend." She ask through her hands giggling, her question has me thinking about Lenny and Eve but ignore them for now to answer her.
"Nope, I focus on school I don't have time to date... and that makes twenty questions so why don't you sit down and play with your toys why I do homework." Not needing to be asked twice she hops over and starts playing with her toys and coloring books. Right when I am bout to finish my last science book I get a string of messages from Lenny and Eve, they were strangely quite all day I wonder what's so important that they are texting now.

MyPrincessEve: OMG! I can't believe that just happened!
NessL: Josh!!!! You missed it!
Me: what is it?!?!?!?
MyPrincessEve: we finally beat those guys on Smash Bros. You know the ones we spent so much time playing the other day.
NessL: we were so in the zone it came down to sudden death and Eve knocked them both out.
MyPrincessEve: it was so epic I'm mad we didn't get to film it. Btw how is babysitting going we haven't heard from you.
NessL: Yeah?!?!?
Me: Damn I wish I was there for that..... it's fine she is a good kid who doesn't complain so I am doing just fine but we were busy so I forgot to message you guys.... but I'm doing homework now so I will see you guys in the morning ttyl.
NessL: Boo party pooper!
MyPrincessEve: No don't go!!!!

"Hey System when will I officially go to the dungeon?" I ask trying to get myself mentally prepared.
[Hist first time in the dungeon will be in a month to allow you to get use to your new powers and the system it has been determined that you will go in a months time.]
Sighing I nod I do need to get use to my powers and stuff since I have been using all my time hanging out with Lenny and Eve so I haven't really trained in anything even though I have instant mastery. But I figured since I do have instant mastery I still need to learn different moves using lightning and I need to get use to being part Vampire and Phoenix. Nodding my head I get lost in my thoughts but it is fine since willow is distracted by what she is currently working on.
My phone finally stopped vibrating when they realized I was not going to answer them but I'm not stressing over it because I really want to see if something will happen between them or not. I'm just about to ask Willow if she bored but she rushes over to me and shows me a picture she drew, it has two stick figures one is a little girl the other is a tall guy and she spelled our names underneath it. I hug her close and praise her telling her I'm going to keep it forever which makes her giggle and go back to draw more pictures, laughing I put the picture in my night stand next to the couch and go get a drink.
After grabbing snack for Willow and I, I begin playing games automatically before I know it time has already passed by and our moms are already back, Ms.Steel picked up Willow and they went home my mom was in a fit of giggles before passing out.

My moms pained moans along with my cell phone alarm going off wake me up and I happily walk into the kitchen to see her nursing her hangover with toast and coffee which has me laughing. Cooking the last of the bacon I make two egg sandwich's passing one to her because I know the grease in it is the best to soak up the alcohol, after feeding her I get dressed and meet Eve and Lenny before they show up. Sitting on the curb I read through some comics on my phone while I wait for them but I don't wait long because they show up pretty quick, bouncing with excitement they both holler when I get in the car because today is Pep-rally day!
Lenny explained to Eve and me how it works at starlight the whole school basically shuts down and we don't do any real work, because of the excitement of the first football game kids go crazy. When I asked if they planned to join any school activities they both laughed and said they would rather die then give any of their free time to being at school any longer than and official school day, when Eve notices my shirt she immediately stops the car and goes back to my house. Pointing at their matching shirt then at mine she tells me I need to go out on the shirt she worked so hard to make or we were not leaving from this spot. After changing are shirts all read together our screen names MyPrincessEve, NessL, and PitJax, satisfied we get pumped again and race to school, since his first period class has to set up them gymnasium Lenny takes off before school starts.
"So did you guys have fun without me yesterday?" I ask Eve leaning on her shoulder in the library.
Brushing her hand through my hair she thinks it over before answering, "Not really it was different. Don't ask me why but when it's not all three of us I don't feel good. So you're not aloud to leave without us even babysitting we can help." Her complaint really warms my heart and makes me smile.
"I agree, you two might be goofballs but I missed you way more then I thought I would." Moving my head I lean down and lay down in her lap, she smiles at me tracing the words on my shirt, "Girl you know if you rub my chest it's only fair to let me return the favor." She doesn't say anything just blushes and continues to move her hand.
"Yesterday before meeting you guys in the cafeteria a guy in my math class stopped me to flirt with me." She explains why she was blushing yesterday.
"Oh yeah is this a guy you like then." I was a hint of worry in my voice not because I liked her or anything but because I was worried for Lenny, I think she hears it too because she tries to hide her smile.
"No he was just a flirt. Not as bad as you two but a flirt none the less I want to experience more of living here before I even think about a boyfriend. And if I did choose someone it would have to be... Lenny or.....You." Her small smile and shy look makes me want to hold her and that's just what I do pulling her waist my face ends up in her stomach and she doesn't push me away just continues brushing my hair humming her songs like always. "Okay big guy class is about to start text me when you get there, I will see you and Lenny at lunch." After that she pats my chest and walks away.
In physics the teacher gives us a terrible assignment of read one page of the physics book that's it before she goes onto her computer and plays out school theme on repeat. Drew is still sitting beside me and wearing his football jersey apparently he is a captain and when I ask him about it he ends telling all about him changing to the position of wide receiver and dominating last year. During class I get endless text from Lenny and Eve apparently Lenny's class is moving super slow to kill time so they aren't really doing anything since other classes with come complete it through out the day. Eve is super excited ending each of her text with a lyric from the schools fight song, since the rally starts after our free period we are going to end the day together so she can't contain her excitement.
Lenny makes a comment about her probably on some high drugs cause not even he was this enthusiastic about his first rally but now that he has us he is pumped and ready to go. I send some birthday celebration emojis and kissy faces to them but really I'm playing games on my phone since although the teacher is letting us do whatever I can't play my Switch like I want too. My lack of real enthusiasm makes both of them yell at me to show some real spirit or they will and I quote "string me up and beat me like a piñata" so I send them a video of me making funny faces.
That gets them to believe me, after physics is over we do the same in English and when I get to History we get a visit from a group of cheerleaders, in that group is Bethany and I would be lying if I said she didn't look hot ass hell in her uniform. With her hair in a bun with our school color ribbons she makes that uniform look way to good to be on anybody, we aren't exactly friends yet but when she sees me she sticks her tongue out before they walk out of the classroom.
I recorded it and immediately sent Eve and Lenny the routine not all classes get to see the cheerleader stop by so when a class does see it they record it to brag to friends, when they get the video they start hounding me about what class they said they are going to next. It should be mentioned that they pass out t-shirts and other school 'swag' when they stop by.
At lunch they have red and yellow jello to represent the school, the most noticeable change is that in the cafeteria is a sea of gold and red nothing out of place it takes me back for a moment before I move to our table. After Lenny comes in Eve shows up again with a smile and blushing but instead today she tells us about how the guy hit on her again but she wasn't smiling and blushing because of him it was because she thought the guy was an idiot for even trying to talk to her.
"He was so stupid like I'm going to fall for 'hey girl, I told you I was the starting quarterback now do you want some of this' it left me in a fit of laughter." She explains making his facial expressions. Lenny and I can't help but to laugh too who is stupid enough to try and hit on Eve with moves like that if you want to hit on Eve you have to make it relate to her.
"God He was stupid if he wants to hit on you he should have tried saying..." I calm my expression and give her a little smirk, "I know it might come to a surprise to hear me say this but seriously looking into your eyes I drown in that ocean of blue." The only thing that would ever work on her is a cheesy pickup line, and I'm right because she immediately blushes and looks down.
"Or how about this one....," Lenny tilts her chin up with his hand, "Trust me girl those lips and your smile could cause wars it is so beautiful." He says ending with a little wink and her face goes red, we bust out laughing after but Eve puts her head down shying away from us.
"Guys cut it out your embarrassing me..." She whines hitting us both in the chest with her tiny fist, after that we all laugh and spend the rest of the time playing games.
It was time for what we were all waiting for the pep-rally Eve grabs our hands and squeals dragging us into the gym, we can hear the roar of the people who are already in there and more people are rushing just like us. At the door someone is selling toy mascots it is a gold star with a red streak like it is going to crash into earth, as soon as she see it Eve squeals and looks at us with pleading eyes but Lenny doesn't have cash on hand so I buy it for her. Hugging it in her chest she drags us up to the middle of the bleachers and we all start following along with the crowd stomping our feet, with a loud yell the rally starts and it rushes by with cheers, music, raffles, and the football team playing games.
It wasn't really my cup of tea but both Lenny and Eve enjoyed so I don't make a fuss and agree with them and start telling them my favorite highlights from the rally. Since there are no more class for the day we head out to Eve's car and it was unanimously decided that they would sit up at my job and wait for me to get off since I only have to work for three hours today. All the way to the bookstore Lenny and I played Smash Bros. Eve decided since I work today I didn't have to drive today.
