Right as I close the system we land inside Hanger 13 and have everyone go straight to the medbey while I talk to the General who is waiting for me with Fang sitting at his feet
"Report Pathfinder" he says all business
I salute and say " Yes sir we received a distress call from the colony team and responded to find them and the Altruin people being attacked by a group called the Gyarian who kidnap people and perform inhumane experiments on them for use in their armies"
The General looks at me and says "My God I need to warn the fleet council of this excuse me Adrian"
As the General leaves I deploy the droids in front of me after which the first droid in formation says in a mechanical voice " Greetings Sir what are your orders"
I open the crate of Uzis and point to the small firing range in the hanger and say "grab that weapon, stand on the yellow line, and shoot that target "
The droid picks says "Roger Roger" picks up an Uzi, takes aim, and fires a quick burst at the target but only hits the target once despite emptying his entire thirty shot magize and none of the others do any better when I have them walk up actually most of them do worse surprisingly
I say to the first droid " Droid front and center"
"Roger Roger" and as it stands in front of me I open it's access panel
After I open the panel I say " Jesus Christ where is this shit made China" I say that because everything from the plating to the wiring is made of the cheapest materials possible" Droid you and your squad should go into storage mode until I can improve you"
The droids walk to a corner attach their uzis and fold up and right as I go to walk away Mason walks up me and asks " Sir could I try to improve those droids for you I'd do it for free and only in my spare time"
I ask" do you have any experience pvt"
He answers" Yes sir I studied robotics at Cal Tech and have loved robots since my Grandfather showed me Star Wars as a kid"
"Fair enough you can give it a whirl but don't break anything and only work on it in your spare time and if you can keep their look okay" I say as I walk towards the door "droids Pvt Mason is your technician so listen to him "
"Roger Roger"
Mason says "understood sir" and starts working while I walk towards my office to do my paperwork
