Chapter 8: Blueprints
I wake up a little groggy because of all the booze me and the General drank and notice immediately that Fang crawled into my bunk last night and stole my blanket
"Not cool Fang" he responds by rolling over and flicking his tail at me lazily before tucking it under his body
After checking my schedule and noticing that I have a completely open schedule today I grab an energy drink from my mini fridge and head towards Anita's lab to check in on her and to show her the new gear I earned.
Right as I walk into the lab I see Anita moving heavy equipment with the power loader which she has added some additional steel plates on the arm and leg areas to protect the user and a bulletproof glass shield over the roll cage as well.
"Anita what did you do to my power loader" I ask after she hops out of the machine
"Oh I added some extra protection in case the pilot gets attacked or something" she says proud of her work
"Looks good but bear in mind it's not a combat machine but I digress I earned some new gear for you to look at are you free right now"
"For you Adrian I'm always free" she says with a faint smile while blushing a little " what do you have for me Adrian"
"4 M3 combat armor suits, 2 M56 combat Harnesses, 2 M40C2 Grenade launchers, and one Fremen Stilsuit along with 2 crates of 100 high explosive grenades for the launchers" after listing off everything I ask " have you figured how to make any of this stuff by the way"
She answers "well I figured out the high explosive grenades for the launcherspretty easily because they're just a different size compared to our standard issue grenades but the 10mm L.A.P shells for your pulse rifles are to advanced for me at least for the explosive aspect but I can make non explosive slugs for them if you like and I figured out how to make more power loaders for the flight crew if that's okay"
"No problem I'll see if I can get some blueprints or something"
