After jolting awake from a nightmare I see Geneva walking in and after seeing me awake she says "Oh good you're awake Adrian the General wants to see you he said it has something to do with what you talked with that pilot about. Oh and have you checked out your system recently"

While getting dressed I say " no I haven't but I probably should"

[No thank you System log out] after saying log out the pistol appears in my hand and I notice it looks like a standard colt 45 but it has a launcher underneath the barrel that can fire flares, buckshot, or if you're desparate it can launch the standard grenades the the pulse rifles use.

"Cool pistol Adrian can I have it " Geneva asks while trying to use puppy dog eyes on me.

"Nope mine. Although you can have the saw configuration of the pulse rifle I got if you'd like it"

"No thanks I'm more of a shotgun surgeon I'll stick with the standard pulse rifle for now "

After nodding okay and strapping on the pistol belt we head to the General's office where I see the Colonel waiting at the door where he stops me and says" look Captain I don't know how you earned your rank back or got these strange weapons but I'm going to find out and when I do there will be hell to pay. Do we understand each other"

"Yeah whatever I'm here to do my job not to argue with a bureaucrat so if you'll excuse me I have business with the General" I say as I step around him and walk into the General's office after knocking and being called in.

"Good morning sir" I say after standing at attention

"Morning Captain and hold up what is that on your hip son it doesn't look like a standard 45 to me"

"Oh its a M4A3 tactical pistol sir with an underslung launcher for flares, buckshot,or grenades in a pinch" I say as I eject the magazine and unload the round in the chamber and hand it to him so he can take a look at it.

"Excuse me Captain but I'm just gonna geek out a bit cause this thing is awesome where did you get it because I definitely want one" he says with genuine joy on his face

After thinking for a minute I say " Sir right before my squad was wiped out I touched a computer which gave me the ability to earn gear from Sci-fi media as an example that pistol is from the alien vs predator universe and so is this " I say as I pull out the M41AE2 pulse rifle and then put it away instantly.

"Okay Adrian this is huge but for secrecy's sake you won't tell anyone else about this and you will stash your gear either with Professor Anita Fitzgerald or inside Hanger 13 which was reserved for special operations use but you and Sgt Coleman are the only ones left so you guys will have exclusive access" he says as he hands back my pistol which I reload and reholster.

"Understood sir now what did you want to talk about sir"

"Oh right I want you, Sgt Coleman,Professor Anita,and your new pilot to check out that planet she claims to have to discovered because we need a win as far as planets go okay"

"Sir yes sir I'll go get the squad ready"

"That's good and before I forget do you require a shuttle to get to the planet after we get to the system"

"No sir one of my rewards was a pelican drop ship from halo armed with a 20mm Vulcan Cannon"

"Sweet well have at it captain"

After leaving the General's office I gather everyone in hanger 13 next to the pelican and say " okay people this is a D77-TC Pelican dropship and she belongs to Kwan now and it is called Home-1 and the two of them will be taking up to an unknown planet that we are considering for a colony so remember stay alert and keep safe so lets go"

After saying that everyone hops inside Home-1 and puts their guns in the gunracks I had installed near the rear hatch and then I have everyone including Fang my pet nexu sit down and strap into their seats and then Kwan takes us out of the ship.

After flying for about two hours I hear Kwan say in Korean"we're here Captain what next"

I respond to Kwan "take us in slow and land us somewhere with cover" and then yell to everyone else " Okay everyone listen up we are about to land in an unknown environment so I want everyone to stay inside until I and Fang confirm that the air is safe understood"

Geneva yells" SIR YES SIR"

Right before we land I put on my Katarn armor and load the M41AE2 SAW and and exit the airlock while scanning with thermal and ultraviolet filters on my helmet which tells me there is nothing living near us larger than a squirrel and that the air is perfectly safe so I radio the dropship and say" it's safe guys let's unload"

While everyone starts unloading me and Fang keep an eye out for trouble until Anita says "Captain I think we are safe so help me deploy the recon drone "

After the drone is launched we get a good image of the valley we are in and see some kind of village until I see a puff of smoke on the camera and then the drone crashes with a small explosion

" Dammit those drones are hard to replace we have to get it back Captain" Anita says annoyed

"Alright calm down Geneva you and Kwan go bring the drone back"

"Got it Sir which way is it"Geneva says as she grabs her M41A2 pulse rifle and sawed off double barrell 8 gauge shotgun and Kwan grabs a p90 pdw from the gunrack and waits for my answer

"Four miles north from here and make sure to maintain radio contact and keep you head on a swivel because someone shot down the drone understand Sgt"

"Sir yes Sir" she says as they walk towards where the drone was shot down
