Chapter 5: The Defector
While doing some pretty standard paperwork Geneva pops her head in and says " hey Adrian the Colonel is struggling to interrogate that pilot we dragged in wanna watch"
"Sure why not that sounds fun"
After putting away my work we run to interrogation and see the colonel yelling at the very cute North Korean pilot while pacing and smacking the table while saying things like "If you don't tell me where your friends are hiding right now I'll have to get physical with you and nobody wants that do we hehehe"
After he says that the pilot responds in Korean " Please Sir I'm telling you what you want to know but you aren't even trying to listen and you don't even have a translator for this interrogation. I mean fuck are you even qualified to hold that rank or did you just weasel your way up in rank politically" thankfully I learned to speak Korean while stationed in South Korea so I'm translating all of this for Geneva while we're both laughing our asses of while watching this until I see the Colonel raise his hand to slap the pilot so I rush in to stop him.
"That's enough Colonel you are acting like an idiot I mean fuck you didn't even call for a translator even after finding out she doesn't speak English so back off and let me translate or do you need to start a committee for that asshole"
While looking at me like he's never been confronted with his own stupidity before he says " Go ahead Private see if I care but just know I'm going to report this"
"Fine go away now sir" he walks away and I say in Korean " Hello Ma'am I am Private Class Adrian Nygaard and I am here to interrogate you now please what is your name ma'am"
"Finally someone who speaks Korean I am Captain Ling Kwan but you may call me Kwan and I would like to defect to your ship and in exchange I will provide information on where my former comrades are based and the location of a habitable planet and all I ask is to be allowed to fly a ship,not be treated like a prisoner, and just because you are extremely handsome I'd like a kiss now how much of that will I actually get" she says with a relieved smile on her face.
"Well I can give you the kiss" I say as I give her a short kiss on the lips" but I have to ask my commanding officer about the other stuff okay Kwan"
"Of course Adrian I understand it's what I expected"
After she agreed with me I went to the General's office and asked him "Sir I managed to get the North Korean Pilot to defect but her conditions are that she wants to continue being a pilot and to simply be treated as a person oh and a kiss"
General Smith looks at me looking confused and says "wait is that it, like you're being serious with me"
"Yes sir that's it so is it approved sir"
He thinks for a minute and says "Sure but she's your responsibility understand oh and I'm reinstating you as a Captain because those charges were total horseshit so goodbye kid"
After making my way back to interrogation I tell Kwan " your requests are all approved but you are under my command and you are now a lieutenant and you will have to take english classes is that satisfactory Kwan"
She answers "sir yes sir"
After setting Kwan up with a bunk, uniform,and set up her daily english class I go back to my bunk put back on my Captain's strips and finish up my paperwork before going to bed.
