Chapter 2: Escape
After waking up I see Anita leaning over me checking my vitals and see Geneva firing out the doorway at something with her shotgun on semi-auto and then she looks back at us while reloading and says "get off your ass Adrian these things don't go down easy and I'm running low on shells"
"Roger Sarge" I say while I get up and switch places with her and start shooting out the doorway. While shooting I notice that the other side are some kind of roughly humanoid drones with four arms mounted with some kind of energy weapons that leave scorch marks when they hit the walls near me. I also notice some of the drones have what look like blood on their armor and one has a marine issue combat knife sticking out of it's neck telling me they killed the others.
"Sarge they killed the others" I say as I throw a frag grenade into their midst which barely scratches them. "They killed them my god we're screwed" Sgt Geneva says.
Right as I start feeling like we're not going to make it a line of text rolls across my vision and says [ Your weapons aren't powerful enough to penetrate your enemies armor would you like to use one of your crate ofM41-A pulse rifles ?] I think yes and I I see a durable looking plastic crate marked [Property of The United States Colonial Marines] and open it and see six pulse rifles just like in the movie and pick up one and I immediately feel like I've been using it for years and start firing which makes Geneva say "what the hell is that Adrian"
"M41-A Pulse Rifle 99 round 10mm caseless light armor piercing roundcapacity and an underslung pump-action 25mm grenade launcher it's from the movie Aliens.
"Cool do you have any more of those" Geneva asks as I duck back behind the doorway and say"Sure Geneva this weird computer voice in my head gave me a whole crate of them along with some other shit" I say as I toss her a rifle and ammo which she loads and gets ready.
As she loads her rifle I fire a burst at one of the drones and turn it into swiss cheese after which it falls to pieces with a loud clank " holy shit these things are fuckin awesome"
After seeing the drone fall apart Geneva runs up next to me and says" alright lets hit them with the grenade launchers and run back to the drop ship and get outta here ok"
"Got it boss ready 3 2 1 outgoing frag" as we launch grenades into the group of drones which blasts them to pieces after which I grab Anita and we fly the fuck outta here.
