Chapter 2: Chi Chi: !!!
Bai Yu paused for a moment. The voice of the child carried confusion and doubt, and there was a feeling hidden deep in that voice, the feeling of betrayal and despair. After all, the protagonist or rather Shen Fei and later called Shen Shi as an alias, was treated harshly by most people he has known.
Abandoned by his parents, hated by most villagers do to being a good thief and for being a street rat, also hated by both the outer sect disciples and inner sect disciples due to being a street rat but having enough talent and being more hardworking then them made them feel threatened.
After awhile, some inner disciples and core sect disciples decided to frame and chase him away from the sect, however they failed. Them failing and the protagonist being proven innocent and gaining people's sympathy as well as other benefits, only made them hate him more. That's when they decided to make a grand conspiracy, and involve people they shouldn't have and wouldn't have normally.
So when the mystery master takes the protagonist in and treats him well enough, the protagonist would begin to trust and rely on him, after all he was still a child. However, after awhile the mystery master betrayed that trust.
The voice of the child rang again, bringing Bai Yu out of his thoughts. "Master? Why did you take me out?" Shen Fei seemed to have regain his calm, his voice seemed to contain nothing but numbness and calm, not like a normal child his age.
Bai Yu's breathing hitched hearing that voice. After a moment he began to speak, unconsciously gentlying his tone. "Master has taken back what he has said, you do not deserve such a terrible punishment. Now do not worry, Master shall treat you well from here on."
Lifting the boy up into the classical princess cary, Bai Yu realizes the boy didn't seem to weigh much. Bei Yu's brows scrunch up. He should eat more. After that thought Bai Yu began to walk towards the simple but elegant house near the lotus pond. Bai Yu glanced all over the elegant houses exterior, this should be the mystery master's home.
The cry baby dragon named Chi Chi also followed along. Master seems to be acting strange, was Chi Chi's thoughts.
"Master!" Shen Fei's voice was filled with panic and alarm.
"Hush now, allow master to take care of you! After all this was masters fault for giving to harsh a punishment." Plus this great master didn't want to die. Not at all because this great master finds this small bun adorable even if he wants to murder me!
Shen Fei's face was full of confusion. The boy seemed to want to disappear into himself as he kept trying to pull his body closer, he seemed to dislike Bai Yu's touch. Which was natural after being hit and punished multiple times by him.
After they arrived inside the house, Bai Yu naturally walked to his room and stuffed Shen Fei into the bed and grabbed new clothes and a towel. After a thought, Bai Yu decided to try to use a drying spell. It seemed that although he didn't have the memories of the original host and only what he had seen in the book, the body sure does remember. After the boy had been dried by the spell Bai Yu decided to just stuff a healing pill into his mouth to help with any wounds he may have had, whether it was new or old.
Shen Fei trembled a bit seeing the pill, but swallowed it obediently. Seeing that no pain came after swallowing it, he gazed up at his beautiful master with confusion and awkwardness.
Bai Yu's long white hair fell over his shoulder like a waterfall, adding to his already graceful and clear like water temperament. Bai Yu watched as the boys confusion kept getting higher, he tried his hardest not to laugh as Shen Fei tried not to let his confusion show.
"It's a healing pill, master won't ever give you those types of pill again, okay?" Bai Yu's voice just kept getting gentler as he spoke, which with his clear and melodious voice would normally make people feel sweet and fluffy only made Shen Fei shiver.
Yes, Bai Yu in the book would actually experiment on Shen Fei. When the mystery master would try to make new pills he would use this adorable bun to experiment. Luckily Bai Yu transmigrated before he truly began experimenting.
"Master, there's no need!" Shen Fei's voice sounded urgent as he shouted in a whisper. Bai Yu calmly gazed at Shen Fei for a moment before speaking once again. "It is needed, now listen. You are masters disciple so master must treat you better. Master had an unsteady mind recently so master hasn't been treating you well, but that won't happen again!"
Bai Yu's skull felt numb as he felt Shen Fei's gaze become sharper and burning for moment before going back to normal. I must have seen wrong right? Right??
Shen Fei gazed at Bai Yu, seemingly to be proceccing what Bai Yu had just said. Shen Fei paused for moment or two, then lifted his hand to cover his mouth seemingly out of shock. Only Shen Fei and Chi Chi knows that he was just trying to hide his smirk.
Chi Chi stared at his weird master for a moment then quickly glanced at Shen Fei only to see him trying to hide his smirk. Master! Don't trust him, he has had bad intentions towards you since he first saw you!
Chi Chi: !!!
