Adrian did not want to be the one to tell them that, but it had to be said. He actually thinks that they take it quite well as he always receives the ire of people when he becomes blunt. This characteristic actually made him be avoided by most people since a majority of people do not like people that tell the problem straight.

This trait might limit the people you really have a connection with but those that do will forge strong bonds with him. Even Adrian is not afraid of others telling him what he did wrong as long as it was not told for malicious reasons. If it was just an honest criticism, then he would take it and reflect if that really happened.
