The Jerk In The House
When she was done talking with Gracie and arranging dates with her, Leilein went to her dad's grave and told him everything she did today and even the wedding of her mom that she refused to attend. There, she cried for a while till she heard a voice.
"hey" it was no other than the jerk named Jungkook.
She rolled her eyes and scooted away from him before greeting him, "jerk".
"how rude" he sat down a little far from her as he could see how her eyes glared at him.
"anyways, why are you here?" she asked him who was now standing beside her. He was changing his position again.
"I'm visiting my mom here" he slowly said, not looking at her anymore. He looked up and fluttered his eyes. She was unsure of what he was doing, either he was acting normal or he's trying to be that emo guy who wanted to look cool.
She quickly brushed off that thought she made and felt sorry for him. "sorry to hear that" She reminded herself to slap herself on the face for being so rude.
"dang, we're in a graveyard," she told herself in her mind.
He gave a tight smile before he asked her, "it's fine, so you're visiting your dad too?"
"yeah. Today's moms' wedding and I don't like to attend it." she tried to not leave any important details. She stood up and started walking away.
He followed her steps and walked behind her, "it's such a coincidence that my dad is having his wedding today too" he said, wanting to earn her attention.
She raised her eyebrow right after she turned to face him. She asked, "why the hell are you looking at me like that?"
He grinned and just shrugged. "nothing,"
"yeah, right."
There was a moment of silence and Jungkook couldn't wait to break it, but he couldn't think of any topic to talk about. He sighed and just blurted the things in his mind.
"are you feeling better now?"
She scoffed and giggled before answering him, "are you stupid? You're seeing me walking so fine,"
He faked a hurt face and replied, "ouch. Why do you have to answer like that?"
"is sarcasm familiar to you?"
Hearing that, he made a are-you-kidding-look before rolling his eyes. She scoffed and hit his shoulder. They talked for a while and Jungkook had walked her to her house and he stayed there for a while.
The air wasn't as awkward and tense when they met for the first time, more like now, they're comfortable.
"when will they be back?" he asked her while his legs were resting on the coffee table. When she was about to answer his question, her eyes darted on his legs on top of the table.
She put her hands on her waist and opened her mouth widely, the words were flying in the corners of their house, "what the hell do you think you're doing? rule no. 30, be a gentleman and a graceful lady. Is putting your legs on top of the table a sign of a gentle man?"
He groaned and pulled his legs back before asking for forgiveness, "alright, I'm so sorry madam, I didn't mean to. I don't memorize the rules—"
She pointed at the metal poster sign beside the door. There placed the infamous house rules, carefully attached. She kicked his legs before going to the sign.
"here, if you're in this house, familiarize these," she siad before going to the kitchen. He approached the sign and his eyes widened.
"40 rules?1) If it's dirty, wash it. 2) If it rings, answer it. 3) If you spill it, wipe it. 4) If you open it, close it. 5) If it runs out, replace it. 6) If it's borrowed, return it...this...is...so...long," he clapped his hands and started reading the rules.
After a short period of time, she came back with a tray filled with cookies. He immediately jumped on the couch and his hands sneaked on the tray and was about to grab a cookie when she slapped his hands.
"it's still hot, be careful," she warned him before going upstairs.
She opened her room door and found her phone blasting off. She grabbed it and answered the call.
By hearing Jimin's comforting voice, she sighed dreamily. "Hello, Mr. Park, how may I—"
When she thought about his comforting voice, she heard the exact opposite. She was loving his raspy and low voice too, "Why the hell did you not answer my calls?"
She groaned and slumped down on her bed, "I went to the graveyard," she said slowly. She smiled victoriously when his voice went from raspy to sad and soft.
"why didn't you tell me? I could've accompany you. Probably next time,"
She smiled and rolled over and talked to him about her day. "I miss my dad," she softly said.
He pouted and said, "I wish I could come over there at this time,"
She sighed and forced herself to stand up. She forgot that the jerk was downstairs, probably munching all the cookies she baked.
"hey sweetie, I would pretty much loved to chat with you till death but my father's calling me, I love you~
" I love you too~" she sang and the call ended. She pouted and punched the air before hastily going downstairs.
Jungkook noticed her frown and asked her, "why's your face getting uglier? Don't frown,"
She screamed and threw the pillow at his face as she moved to the kitchen. Today was supposed to be a perfect day yet someone had to ruin it for her.
"Aaaayyysss, today WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A GOOOOOOODDD DAAAYY," he could hear her screams from the living room and he couldn't help but to laugh.
It was his thing. To ruin the good days of the people around him was definitely his hobby. He sighed and thought about her. Suddenly, he could feel his heart bursting out from his chest.
