Chapter 15: Painful visit
Mark had visited the school a day before yesterday and had made a deal with the dean. Long story short, the visit didn't work out as peaceful as she thought it would be.
If the dean doesn't give equal punishment to the students who made bad deeds, she must face consequences. Mark had threatened the whole campus before he left and that left a deep mark on the school's history.
-Earlier-
Jimin and Leilein were eating at the school's cafeteria. The others were doing some of their activities. She avoided all the gaze they've been giving her ever since that accident.
Jimin was doing her research while she was peacefully eating her sandwich, which of course was given by Jimin himself.
Just as they thought they were having a peaceful moment. A frantic student disturbed them. She recognized her as her batch mate, Bethany.
"Leilein, someones' looking for you. Apparently, he said that he's your brother and he's not friendly," with that, she groaned and looked at Jimin.
"Jimin, Mark's here" she tried to stand up and asked for his help. He quickly stopped her and gathered all of her things and put it on her canvas bag.
"What are we going to do?" he asked while shutting down her laptop.
She looked at him who was busy gathering her things and answered his question, "Stop him?" that sounded like a question too.
When he was done, he let out a breath and uttered, "Let's go." he gently placed his hand on her waist while she grabbed her crutches and started walking.
"How could they hurt her? She's been good to us the whole time and this is her last year," a student painfully let her voice out. She was sad that someone could afford to hurt other people.
Another student whom she recognized was Meil joined the conversation," Yeah. She's actually kind. I don't know what went inside their minds. Now, she's in crutches,"
She just smiled at them and waved her hand before going to the office. She knew where to find her brother.
Upon walking there, she couldn't help but feel nervous that she's meeting her own brother. She remembered how his voice rumbled when he saw her in that poor state.
"do you think he would punish them seriously?" she softly asked Jimin. Even if she hated their guts, she knew her hatred wasn't true. She knew what's the right thing to do but her brother is different from her.
"I don't know, but knowing Mark hyung, he would definitely punish them," Jimin sighed. He didn't want to just let this slide and let the girls still live freely.
She wanted his honest opinion and luckily, she was able to get it. "I wanted to punish them, seriously. What they did was clearly wrong but you, my dear sweetie doesnt prefer revenge, so I didn't."
She smiled and nodded at his answer. Everyone was blow their top and she just couldn't get their attention for that. She kne what the boys are nutty as fruitcakes when it comes to her safety.
" hold your horses Mr. Stone, I would like to remind you that the accident is already a hot potato. We are doing our best—"
Mark quickly cut the assistant dean and roared, "no you're not! If you're doing your best then why the hell are they still walking on earth? Shouldn't you be punishing them? Isn't physically hurting a student a grave offense? A knife was fvking pierced on her thigh, what do you expect? Water to come out and her skin would heal on itself quickly? "
The assistant dean stood up and raised his voice," you do not have the right to raise your voice and have the audacity to—"
Mark smirked and let out his low yet terrible voice," Oh I have every right to raise my voice. With my decision, you could loose your job and all your assets and this school would be close and I will very much love to build another company"
He gulped nervously and hung his head down. Just in time, Leilein walked in and confronted her brother. Jimin bowed at the assistant dean and went to hug Mark.
"long time no see hyung," Mark nodded at him and ruffled his hair before thanking him for taking care of Leilein.
"Didn't I told you to not use your authority to threaten them? They're receiving severe punishments already."
She held her brother and looked at him straight in the eyes. One thing she had as an advantage was she could challenge her brother for a duel in eye contact.
He sighed and gave his words, "I want them to be suspend for a a month and after that month, they would not receive special missed assessments forms. I would check from time to time and if I hear you helping them, say bye bye to your life," when she thought that she wouldn't threaten him, he did.
With that, Mark walked out of the office and waited for her to go out and follow him. Jimin helped Leilein in walking and catching up to him.
" that was a good threat hyu—okay, it was a really BAD threat," he groaned in pain when she nudged him with her crutches.
"thus would be the last time you'll threaten people because of me," she said without looking at him.
Mark turned around and scoffed, "I can't promise you that. Hurry, I'll take you two to lunch,"
Jimin and Leilein botched smiled and thanked him. He went back to his company and worked for a while, waiting for them to finish.
She was pretty much embarrassed by his actions yet she couldn't do anything to stop him. She was a cut below her brother.
