Chapter 283: I need a shoulder

''My place?" he kissed her neck again, his voice coming out in a seductive whisper. 

And Diana mustered all her self control to shake her head, ''No.''

Maxim sighed against her neck, his warm breath brushing her skin.

Diana felt her knees wobbling as she struggled to stand straight.

His place? This offer at this particular moment sounded like a temptation. Like she would be bewitched the moment she stepped in there. Or probably go down on her knees and sing a confession song for Maxim Warner without any considerations. 

She needed to clear her head and see things rationally. 

''Okay,'' Maxim straightened up. He reached his hands towards her and fixed her hair and clothes before cupping her cheeks.

Diana blinked when he leaned closer and the next moment, she felt a warmth on her skin as he kissed her forehead,  ''Sleep tight.''
