Chapter 64: 1 year later

Diana panted by the time she reached the library. 

She spotted Maxim sitting with a girl in the corner most table. They were sitting opposite each other and Maxim's back was facing Diana. 

Diana's footsteps slowed down when she saw the girl leaning across the table towards Maxim as she smiled sweetly and held his hand.

She completely stopped in her tracks. She was close enough to be able to hear the girl giggling.

 ''…I never hated you though,'' the girl said with a helpless sigh, ''What bothered me was how that girl clung to you all the time.'' 

The 'that girl' she mentioned was her, right? It could not be anyone else other than her. Diana bit her bottom lips. Clung to Maxim? He said the same thing to his mother and now it seems like everyone thinks the same.
