Chapter 187: EPISODE 188: When Auras Collide!
"Let's make this battle short. Each trainer will use three Pokemons each for a total of six per pair!" Arc instructed with Glade on his side. The Tag Battle is about to begin!
"I concur! Let's start this battle right away." I beamed with determination while a fiery passion erupts from my mind.

"Excadrill, you're up first!" [FIRST POKEMON]=(Glade)
"Chesnaught, fight with me!" [FIRST POKEMON]= (Arc)
"Delphox, you're up first!" [FIRST POKEMON] = (Camellia)
"Heatmor! I choose you." [FIRST POKEMON] = (Kalem)
*****LET****THE****BATTLE***BEGIN**
"Delphox use Fire Blast on Chesnaught!"
"Heatmor, use Incinerate on Chesnaught as well!"
<Ches!>Chesnaught stood firm while two fiery attacks came forth. The surrounding snow melted due to the heat, but when the fire calmed, not a single scratch formed on Chesnaught.
"Ah!? Isn't fire strong against grass?" Camellia's mind was filled with confusion while her Pokemon gets intimidated by the foe's defense.
"Yes... I've trained Chesnaught to withstand fire attacks! Now, use Frenzy Plant on the both of the Chesnaught!"
"Quick Heatmor, use Slash and cut down those roots!"
"Delphox quick! Use Overheat to burn the roots!"
<Heat! Heat!> <Del! Del!>Both Pokemons tried to remove themselves from the strong grip. Slash and overheat was suppose to work but failed miserably. Chesnaught's Frenzy Plant is immensely strong and tough to cut loose.
"Quick Excadrill, it's your turn to help out! use Metal Claw on Heatmor and Delphox!"
<Exadrill!>Heatmor wasn't able to dodge since it was squeezed tightly by the roots. Excadrill climbed the roots and launched his attack on the both of them.
"What now Kalem!?" Camellia questioned.
"I have a plan, damage Heatmor with your best shot!"
"Kalem!? You're asking Delphox to damage Heatmor?"
"Yes! Use Fire attacks. It's time to give Heatmor a fiery boost!" I beamed with determination.
"Oh right! Delphox, quick! Use Overheat on Heatmor!"
<Del! Delphox>Delphox didn't hesitate to follow her trainer. Heatmor's ability is flash fire, a strong attack such as Overheat could boost a fire type attack by almost 40%
"Attacking each other's Pokemon eigh? Chesnaught, use Throat chop right now!"
"Heatmor before Chesnaught hits you! use Incinerate right away!"
<HEAT! Heatmor!>Heatmor's incinerate became stronger and more vital than before.
"Haven't you learned that Chesnaught could withstand fire type attacks?" Arc boasted not knowing about Heatmor's ability.
<Chesnaught...>Chesnaught experienced an immense amount of fiery pain. A pain, he wasn't expecting. Chesnaught thought that he could handle the fire attack but was proven wrong by Heatmor's flash fire ability.
"Quick Delphox, now use attract on Excadrill!"
*Excadrill is immobilized with love.*
"Ah!? Excadrill, please snap out of it!" Glade begged.
<Exca! Exca! Exca!>Excadril's eyes are filled with love and attraction for Delphox.
"How is Chesnaught unable to withstand the attack!?" Arc wondered in his mind while figuring out a new plan.
"Heatmor, finish Chesnaught with Fire Blast!"
"Delphox, now use Psyshock to end Excadrill!"
*Both Pokemons released an immense power especially Heatmor due to his Flash Fire Ability. Chesnaught was unable to bear the pain of the last attack therefore couldn't stand right away. On the other hand, Glade's Excadrill is still under immobilization. Excadrill treats Delphox's attack as a "Message Of Love"

"Bisharp, you're up!"
"Braviary! Let's do this right now!"
***BATTLE CONTINUE****BATTLE!*****
"Heatmor, use Metal Claw right now!"
"Bisharp, counter with Guillointine!"
"Ah!? Quick Delphox, protect Heatmor with attract!"
<Heatmor! Heat!>Heatmor was struck down with the powerful one hit knock out attack called Guillointine. Delphox's attract was unable to take effect.
"Hehe! My Bisharp is a female. Bisharp use Night Slash on Delphox now!"
"Braviary! Wing attack on Delphox!"
*Delphox's flames ran out due to Braviary's wing attack. The Pokemon had two targets to deal with. One attacked from the front and the other from the back, making this a hard time for Delphox to concentrate.

"Pikachu, I need you now!"
"Sceptile, you're up next!"
***BATTLE CONTINUE******BATTLE!***
"Bisharp, use head axe on Sceptile!"
"Braviary, use Drill peck!"
"Pikachu, iron tail to counter!"
"Sceptile, frenzy plant now!"
*Sceptile canceled Bisharp's attack by squeezing him through the use of Frenzy Plant. On the other hand, Braviary was pushed back by Iron tail.*
"Fine! Let's switch targets... Use Drill peck on Sceptile instead!"
"I don't think so Glade! Use Iron Tail again on Braviary!"
"Bisharp, cut through the roots with Night slash!"
<Pika! Pi!>Braviary was pushed back to the ground with Pikachu's iron tail!
<Bish! Bisharp! Bish!> Bisharp cuts through the roots with the use of his Night Slash attack.
"Now, use Electroball on Braviary!"
"Sceptile, it's time for you to use Dragon Claw!"
"Counter with Night Slash Bisharp!"
"Braviary, send the electroball back with Whirlwind!"
<Brav! Brav!>Braviary flapped his wings making two hurricanes circulating his wings.
<Scept!><Bish!>Both Pokemon clashed together as they try to find a weak spot to attack. Dragon Claw against Night slash, who which move will triumph!?
"Braviary, use drill peck and end Pikachu now!"
"Pikachu, use Iron Tail!"
"Not this time Camellia! Braviary, bit the tail with your beak, and send Pikachu back to the ground!"
<Braviary!>Braviary grabs the tail and tosses Pikachu to the sky. The foe hits the ground harshly. It was followed by an incoming attack, Drill Peck to be specific.
*Both Sceptile and Bisharp canceled the attacks. The excessive warfare between Night Slash and Dragon Claw drained both of their energies.*
"Ah!? Pikachu please return to your Pokeball. Absol, it's all up to you know!

Let darkness fill the sky, in the fabric of space be baptized! Grant me eternal twilight, Absol, mega evolve!" Camellia chanted.
<ABSOL! AB!>Absol's body gleamed. It's fur got thicker once more, as two wings formed from behind.
"Absol fly to the sky, then use Shadow Claw!"
*An air battle occurred! Braviary did its best to dodge Mega Absol's attack. It dodged miserably since it wasn't able to keep up with Absol's speed. Braviary fell and hit the ground harshly while Bisharp and Sceptile continued to battle.*
"Bisharp, now use Guillointine!"
Camellia's mind filled in with a cluster of thoughts. She saw Sceptile standing on an angle that could only bring disadvantages against Guillointine. Bisharp pushed Sceptile to that angle during the clash of Night Slash and Dragon Claw.
"I've got no choice! Even if Absol is my last Pokemon, I have to do it! Absol, quick! Protect Sceptile right now!" Camellia instructed.
*Absol descended from the skies and blocked Sceptile. Even under mega evolution, one-hit knockout attacks are no exception, Mega or not.*
"Camellia, why did you that? I still have one more Pokemon left?"
"It's fine Kalem. Win it for the both of us!" Camellia cheered and encouraged me to fight harder.
"Sceptile's energy is drained. If Absol protects Sceptile, then Kalem's Pokemon could still use on more move to knock out Bisharp.
This would make the battle a little bit easier, a two on two (Sceptile and ???)." Camellia thought on her head.
"Sceptile, use Dragon Claw now!"
*Bisharp was unable to react quickly. It was blasted back by Sceptile's remaining energy.*
"Bisharp thank you for fighting! You're up last Gallade."
"Come out Mienfoo! Fight by my side."
"Sceptile, we need to avenge Absol! Let's do this." I tried to energize Sceptile with encouragement and conviction.
"Leave the battle to me!" Sceptile beamed with certainty. Sceptile's ability activated once more, Chlorophyll boosted Sceptile's grass type attacks.
"I hold our power in my left palm, and our destiny on the right! With the power of Laurenburg's greatest knights, Gallade, Mega Evolve!" Arc chanted. Gallade mega evolved! It grew a large cape, as its blades got thicker.
Gallade started to look like a prince. A prince saving a princess from a heavenly tower. Even if Gardevoir wasn't watching, Gallade still did his best for her.
"Mienfoo use Force Palm on Sceptile!"
"Gallade, use Psycho Cut right now!"
"Sceptile dragon claw on Mienfoo! Toss him to Gallade!"
*Gallade and Mienfoo collided against each other.*
"Quick Sceptile, this is an opportunity, use Leaf Blade on Mienfoo!"
"Gallade attack from behind and use Night Blade!" (Night Blade- Gallade's temporary move due to mega evolution exclusive to Laurenburg.)
*Sceptile's Leaf Blade damaged Mienfoo harshly. Sceptile met his fate due to Gallade's temporary move.*
<Mienfoo and Sceptile are no longer able to battle!>
"Thank you Sceptile. You've fought hard! Now, take a nice little rest inside your Pokeball."
"Arc, it's been a pleasure battling with you! Win this for the two of us."
"Don't worry Glade, your Pokemons won't go in vain. Gallade, keep a sharp eye on Kalem's next Pokemon." Arc beamed with certainty.
<Gallade! Lade!>Gallade nodded his head while under his fighting stance.
"Lucario... Avenge our team!"
<Lucar! Lucar!>Lucario leaps into action with determination.
"I see... So little Riolu evolved! This is going to be a hard challenge for us, cause we know you and Lucario have a strong bond! But in battling, it's not about winning or losing, it's about how you fought! Let this battle continue!" Arc proclaimed.
"Lucario, the future is in the palm of our hands. It starts from believing and flows through the soul, it can change the entire world! Each of us holds the key, to the power of one! On my command, mega evolve." I chanted with enthusiasm and determination.
<LUCARIO! LUCAR!>Lucario growled loudly while transforming into its mega-state. Gallade wasn't intimidated. His body didn't flinch neither his eyes.
I felt the connection once more. The merging of the heart and soul has finally begun. Let it be, let the power of one take place!
"Ok what just happened!? Did Lucario, Mega, Mega evolve!?" Arc beamed with shock.
"Arc! Watch out... Kalem and Lucario have entered a form wherein their bond combines as one." Glade warned.
"I told Kalem to avoid this... his ending his life quickly if he continues to hurt himself through Lucario. He must know that the compatibility of a Pokemon is different from a person's compatibility.
What's worse is, Gallade is under mega evolution. Attacks and defenses are higher this time." Camellia worried while observing the battle.
"Lucario, use Aura Blitz right now!"
*Me and Lucario followed each other's movements. A black was formed and Lucario held it with one palm. The skies turned grey and the weather changed. Thunders crashed down into this frosty soil while large snowball descended rapidly.*
"Full power now!" Lucario launched the attack on Gallade!
<Boom!>The explosion blinded all of our eyes. A large gust scattered throughout this land, while a crater formed underneath the battlefield.
Me and Lucario's energy declined rapidly. I tried to hold on tightly, if I want to adapt, then I must suffer. The sturdiest gold is forged under the finest flames.
Me and Lucario started to gasp for air. Our senses became weak and feeble, while our heads felt an uncontrollable and irritating pain.
<Gallade>Gallade was able to stand up!? It was able to withstand our aura easily. Why easily? Gallade only has a few scratches on his body, and just by his eyes, he's trying to boast his power in front of us.
"Gallade use Night Blade on Lucario!"
"Lucario... I know you can hear me, dodge the attack." I uttered softly with a trembling tone.
<Lucario!> "Ah!" =Gallade's attack was able to land on Lucario, which dealt a painful injury to me as well.
"Lucario... No." My sight became weak. Our bodies couldn't handle the pain anymore. Me and Lucario dropped on the floor with our consciousness away from our feeble minds.
"Stop the match! Kalem, no!" Camellia proclaimed while gushing towards me. Gallade and Arc felt guilty for what they've done, both of them decided to check on me and Lucario as well.
"What have we done Gallade!?" Arc began to panic while staring at our unconscious body.
"Arc, this isn't your fault. This happens all the time to Kalem and Lucario." Glade calmed Arc's guilty spirit.
So, just like before, the same thing happened. Our bodies collapsed, our consciousness disappeared while our breath gradually declined, and our respiratory system began to fail again. This time was different though. Even without consciousness, I could somehow sense Lucario's aura. It felt like, me and Lucario were trapped in one mind, and soul.
