Meeting
We were on our way to the conference room when I noticed that the employees were there looking at us like their fairytale animals.
" You have nothing better to do."
I give them a piercing look with my eyes, then I continue towards my destination. When we arrive there, I didn't say anything , my attention seemingly focused on Ethan who was busy introducing us.
"Now that you know who we are, let's start the presentation. First project ? You may begin," Alex said as he looked at the first group.
There were four groups presenting that day, each with a time limit of 10 minutes. They had to pitch their ideas and a copy of their proposals was in front of each person at the meeting. There were also 10 minutes allocated for any questions.
As the first presenter was preparing, I flipped through all of the proposals and had finished reading them by the time the first presenter started. As i listened intently, i also took note of everyone's expressions and listened to the questions posed.
In truth, I already had identified the people in that room that would be fired. Because it was me who search for everyone information. However, that was all based on the reports and data that i had studied and didn't want to make decisions based entirely on data, so I wanted to also confirm it with my eyes and evaluate them as to whether the analysis had been correct.
As people droned on and on, it could be seen that my face wasn't looking good. The pressure the people felt were getting stronger and stronger. However, I didn't direct my gaze towards anyone, in particular, thus sparing them a little. They could actually breathe.
For now.
As i was busy writing on the proposals in front of me, while the presentation was going on. Due to the immense frightening aura that I was radiating, no one thought that I was jotting down notes of the presentation.
Finally, after over an hour of the voices droning on, the presentations were done. Throughout the entire time, still did not say a word nor asked any questions, and my brother too it seem like he didn't plan to say anything and just want to be a spectator. ait didn't bother me because I see that I am enjoying myself. But this attitude of us further increase the belief that we didn't know what was going on.
Etan cleared his throat, glancing briefly at me before addressing the rest.
"Now that it is all done,"
I said in a rather low voice.
"I would like for each and every one of you to put in front of you, the projects that you support. It can be one, it can be all, it can be none at all."
With that, everyone did as they were told. Each proposal was in their own distinctive file, so i could see exactly which projects were being supported.
"Everyone done?"
I asked, twirling a pen in my fingers.
They nodded.
"All those who supported the first projet you are fired. Leave the meeting immediately"
I said.
Pin drop silence for a second before those who voted for the first project started to complain, their anger giving them the adrenalin rush to forget their fear of me.
"What is this?"
"How can you say that?"
One demanded, standing up.
"Yes, on what grounds do you have to make us resign?"
Another shouted, his face flushed.
"First project has the highest number of people supporting it!"
Yet another pointed out.
I smirked, snapped the pen in two and then slapped my palm on the table, silencing everyone immediately.
"Ok tell me on what grounds do you have to support this project"
I asked back, my voice low, cold, sinister, with venom.
"It is riddled with inconsistent data, the profit projections are based on inflated prices and there is no market analysis of customer preference to the product. For you to actually support the Project can only mean one of two things. One, you are so incompetent that you only know how to be fooled by a rosy trumped-up presentation and two, you've been bribed. Either way, we does not need such employees like you here."
With that last sentence, I release my killing intent like a wave, spilling onto everyone in the room. My brother didn't let me do those kind of training to let a bunch of vampire suck me dry without retaliation.
" Like you can see, I am not here to play around. Either walk out or get thrown out."
I turned to Charles and said:
"Get security here. I have more cleaning to do."
Ethan nodded and immediately called them up. Those that had been fired quickly got up to go, but one did turn around and say bravely, his voice shaking a bit.
"I'll sue you for wrongful termination!"
"Please do, Mr. Ben. After all, I'd just love to bring to light all the reasons I have in firing you.You should be getting a notice soon. I advice you to get a good lawyer very soon. That goes for all of you, too."
