Chapter 5: Chapter 5
I got dressed and waited for Hyunjin at the bus stop, he said he'd go with me. A couple minutes I saw him running towards me. I gotta admit his fashion skills are no joke. He wore a black shirt with small designs on it and he tucked it into his pants and his belt stood out, with his hair a little permed. I don't get why he has to be this handsome.
"Hey cutie!" He called me.
"Hey ugly" I called him back while smiling. Then he flipped his hand through his hair and asked me "You call this ugly?"
No, you're not ugly Hyunjin.
"You're ugly in my eyes" I said then he ruffled my hair. He sat down next to me and was about to say something then I received a phone call from Seungmin. I tried to cover the contact name because I saved it as 'Boo ❤'
"Oh hey!" I said. "Hey! Ji Yoo ah are you almost here? I'm almost there only 5 minutes away." Seungmin said from the other side. "Ohh I'm waiting for the bus, oh wait the bus is here, I'm going with Hyunjin so don't worry" I told him. "Oh ok, see you later then byeee" then we ended the call and I got in the bus with Hyunjin.
The whole bus ride was lowkey awkward. Hyunjin didn't say anything and just stared at the window. I hated the atomsphere so I called him. "Hyunjin ah"
"Hmm?" He replied without looking at me. "Can I ask you something?" then he looked at me and tilted his head to one side.
So cute.
"Yah! What do you want to ask me." He flicked my forehead playfully. "I just want to know your relationship with that chipmunk" I asked him. "Her name's Seo Yun not chipmunk" He said while looking away. "It's not like I care anyways" I waited for him to answer but he just kept quiet. We finally arrived but he still won't tell me anything.
"Seungmin ahhhhhhh" I ran and hugged him. "Yah get off me you rat" He said and laughed. "I haven't seen you in a while so bare with me" I said and linked my arm to his and walked to the cinema. I looked back and saw Hyunjin walking slowly behind us.
"Ji Yoo ah what flavor do you want for your popcorn?" Seungmin asked me. "I like salty" I told him. Then I asked Hyunjin, "Hyunjin what flavor do you like?"
"I like caramel" He answered. "Oh Seungmin I'll take caramel, the big size" Seungmin looked at me in disbelief and sighed before ordering it.
We were watching the movie while I sat in the middle, we decided to watch a scary movie which wasn't such a great option. I really hate sweet food, but I'm eating the caramel popcorn because of Hyunjin. "Why aren't you eating that much popcorn?" Hyunjin asked me. "I'm not so hungry" was all I said. "You can have some of mine I ordered the salty one" Seungmin whispered to me. I smiled and used my right hand to eat and it accidentally hit Hyunjin's popcorn which he held in his left hand and some spilled on him.
"Hyunjin ah sorry!" I said and tried to clean it off of him but instead he put his popcorn between his legs and his left hand grabbed my right hand away from helping him and held it. I stared at him with big eyes and I felt a whole lot of butterflies in my stomach. Seungmin looked at me and thought something's wrong. He can't see my hand and Hyunjin's because Hyunjin took my hand and put it to his seat and it's not that bright so Seungmin doesn't know.
"Seungmin ah! Can you feed your popcorn?" I asked him, then he fed me a few of them. I was eating deliciously then Hyunjin tighten his grip on my hand and I looked at him then he put our hands on his lap and intetwined them again.
I swear I am really about to pop like corns, my butterflies are making me sick and my heart is beating so fast.
The movie ended fast enough otherwise I would have suffered in there out of shyness. Seungmin told us he'll wait outside since he has to go to the bathroom. I just nodded and looked at Hyunjin he's just sitting there. I tried to use my one hand to clean some popcorns I dropped. "Hyunjin ah, Can you let go of my hand now? It's so hard using one hand to clean" I asked him then he let go. I was walking out of my seat but my feet hit something and I almost fell but Hyunjin grabbed me.
"This is why I can't let go of your hand You're just clusmy and stupid" He said and held my hand again. We walked out with our hands linked together, and Seungmin stood there staring at us. He smiled and told us he has something important at home so he has to go back.
"Oh, becareful and take care Seungmin ah" I told him and he ruffled my hair. "Take care of her" Seungmin said to Hyunjin, Hyunjin didn't say anything but just nodded. We watched Seungmin leave until I pretended to cough.
"Do you want something to drink?" He asked me. I smiled widely and said "Bubble milk tea" He payed for the drinks and we sat there drinking happily. We were sitting and then I saw someone familiar that looked like chipmunk and she was with a guy and they seem sooo close like a couple.
"Hyunjin ah" I called him "Hmm?"
"Is that Chipmunk? Your friend." He asked me where because he couldn't see her, then I used my two hands to grab his face and move it towards where chipmunk was. He didn't say anything, He just looked mad and got out of his seat and walked away. I shouted "Yah! Where are you going? What about your drink?"
"Throw it away" was all he said, then he left me.
I ran after him until I saw him waiting for the bus, we went on the bus and I followed him, he sat there without saying anything, I didn't dare to talk to him. Then he got off somewhere not even close to my place or his. I just followed behind him slowly.
He stood near the river and the grass and I just stood there holding two cups of bubble milk tea, drinking mine slowly.
I decided to break the silence by asking him, " Hyunjin ah, Are you okay? Is there anything you want to talk about?" I asked him, no response. I just stood there until I asked him again. "Anyways you didn't answer my question when I asked you on the bus to the mall" no response. I asked again, "Want to sit down and talk about your worries? You can always share them with me" I said and smiled, no response.
I gave out a big sigh and smiled at him poking him with my drink and he looked at me then I passed his drink to him with a smile. He looked like he's about to kill someone so maybe I could try and cheer him up. He looked away and I poked him one more time with my milk tea, he looked at me fiercely and slapped my hand away making my drink fall on to the road and the plastic cup ripped making the bubbles and liquid go everywhere.
"M-my drink..." I said quietly, since I have soft eyes that would cry easily I can't help but tear up at how he acted just now I got up from kneeling down and shouted at him "YAH! YOU CAN'T JUST THROW YOUR ANGER AT ME LIKE THAT!" Then he pushed my other hand which made his drink drop as well. He walked pass me and his big shoulder made me fall down and get dirty by the spilled drinks.
After I fell down he quickly looked back with a worried face and I was just mad and sad at the same time. I wiped my tears and got up and left him.
I swear I'm not going to forgive him easily again. I'm not gonna look back, Is what I told myself while walking, I couldn't help but turn back around to see that he is walking away.
At that moment, I felt hurt. I felt like I was just someone to throw anger at. "Hwang Hyunjin you asshole, I don't want to see your face ever again" I said. I felt something hurt and I didn't even realize I got cut on my right hand which I think I scrubbed it with the small rocks when I fell down. I went home looking all dirty and a crying mess, I got home and told Haerin everything, I told her not to do anything or say anything to him just to let it slide away and that I will move on from that jerk.
My right hand is important right now since it hurts so much I can't write or eat properly because the wound is a bit big. But it doesn't hurt as much as the moment he did that to me. I felt so upset and I just cried myself to sleep.
