Chapter 29: Search in the Tomb
Red then stopped a few meters before the statue so as to not fall in the pit.
"Red, what is this place?" asked Lanrou.
"This is where i guessed might be another secret treasure." Red said.
"Kong punch the ground from here, and everyone be careful, there might be a pitfall anywhere".
"Bhamm!!"
Kong then punched the ground loudly, his strength was now surpassing Gold Rank so the ground and the statue shook.
"Creakk!!"
Slowly the ground began to creak and slowly a huge pit appeared below.
The girls were shocked that if they were in that position, they would have fallen down.
"Good, now lets reach down there."
Red then started to tie ropes to the tree and girls snapping out of daze also lent a hand.
After they were done, Red said.
"Kong and Lugia, you both go down there, but dont move anywhere and you trio will move down along with us."
Kong then roared and jumped down the hole while Lugia flew down.
"I will be the first to go down the rope, follow me when i give a signal flare."
Red then moved down and landed while the girls also smoothly followed.
Red then lit the flame torch he had bought while moltress moved with the girls.
"Wow this is so huge for an underground" Lanrou said and the girls nodded.
"Looks like a tomb" Red then said as he pointed towards the wall written with some words.
"Kongs Ming's Tomb?" Ziyun tried to read as she was the partner of Red in learning new languages.
"Good Ziyun you are making progress" Red was happy with the progress with Ziyun's learning.
"Now be careful, Lugia use your super power to disable all the traps ahead". Red said
Lugia then moved ahead with Kong as a shield and removed various traps along the way.
Finally they entered an Hall.
Walking into the hall, the scene before them caused the both of them to feel deeply shocked. Bones were everywhere around this hall. There were bones of adults as well as bones of children. They were densely stacked together. It seemed like they had a painful struggle before they died.
"What happened, how could this be?" Ye Ziyun questioned as her eyes began to redden and tears began to fall down from her cheeks. She saw a lot of children huddling in a corner. The children that should be very lovable when they were alive, were all dead.
Red sighed and said, "This should be the temporary refuge of the Ancient Orchid City. They moved the elderly, women and children here.They were, probably, going to get them out after the war. However, Ancient Orchid City was destroyed, therefore, these people could only be trapped here, and starved to death."
Ye Ziyun opened her mouth, revealing a painful expression same as Ninger and Lanrou.
"This is the truth of the world, if you are weak you will die along with your loved once, so we gotta get stronger to protect ourselves and our loved once." Red said.
"Thank You ,Red for reminding me, we will work even harder to protect our home" Ziyun said with some tears in her eyes.
Seeing her like this, Red gave her an Hug, and was later joined by the Ninger and Lanrou and then the bird trio and also Lugia and Kong could keep themselves away.
"Ok guys i know you are in the mood, but now lets search for treasure on the bodies here so we can improve our strength."
The girls were unwilling at first but later moved out to check every body for treasure.
"There's a bronze armor here!"
"There are several bottles of elixirs here! It's a pity that they have all spoilt!"
"Heavens! This is a piece of soul stone!" Ye Ziyun exclaimed, her hands coming together, and prayed for a moment. After that, she removed the soul stone from the little girl's neck. This soul stone is very delicate, tied onto a silver chain.
"The identity of this little girl, when she was still alive, is definitely a noble." Ninger said.
"However, she is already dead. If this soul stone is to be given to a Gold rank expert, it might be able to assist that Gold rank expert to go even higher in his cultivation, we should take it." Lanrou then suggested.
The girls nodded and took the stone. For now Ziyun was the one to wear it, but they will allocated things later reaching Glory city.
Red then moved towards the Tomb,
'I think now that we all are associated with the tree which was born of the book, so we will be able to adsorb this energy.'
"Girls , i can feel this tomb has huge energy so lets lay an absorbing array and absorb it, it will make us stronger".
The girls then with the lead of Red arranged an array around the Tomb.
After the array was laid, Red also bought out the egg, Sakura and Xerneas and they all took the respective places.
They all then stimulated the scripture and resonated with the World tree.
Immediately the coffin began to glow and started to resonated with all of them.
Huge energy started pouring out of the coffin towards them as the illusion of the tree appeared above the coffin.
Everyone with the Beasts started to cultivate and absorb the energy.
They Temporal book page then appeared and was absorbed by the tree image, which resulted in the tree growing a bit bigger and with new leafs.
They all felt their soul realms growing and the sun and planets system was growing bigger in size.
Yang Xin in glory city felt changes in her strength.
After some time, the light died down and everyone took sigh of relief as it was huge amount of energy and a pure source as well.
They all had their strength increased a rank or star you could say.
They all then looked inside just to find an Abstruse gem necklace.
Red then looked towards the girls.
"Give it to Ninger, it will help her". Lanrou said as Ziyun already had a necklace and her father had gifted her one.
Red nodded and headed towards Ninger who had a blush on her face.
Red then wore the necklace on her neck and gave her a peck along which made her blush even more.
"Now lets eat something, then we will move ahead after some rest " Red then said.
The beasts were the first to cheer and happily, all of them went into the realm for dinner.
