Chapter 5: Moment Of Bliss
Turning pale, Tianna looked at her friend in utter shock. She couldn't say that it was indeed the man in her dreams the reason for her panick. And also the reason behind her violent behavior towards Adam Rhodes!
Shaking her head, Tianna made a fruitless attempt to explain herself.
"How can that be.. I was merely distracted by Adam's warm touch, it wasn't creepy or anything.. It's just"
Her low voice timorous, as though Tianna was reciting a touching but tragic poem. An evident frown coloring her blanched countenance.
"You couldn't accept him? Even though you like Adam, you were still hesitant to recieve his affection!!"
With a raise of her eyebrows, Zabie hit the nail right on the head with her sharp words, interjecting Tianna.
"Ho.. How do you know?"
Struck dumb, Tianna whipped her head to meet Zabie's piercing gaze as she let out a barely audible stutter.
"Of course I know!! I'm your bestfriend Anna.."
As though looking at a fool, Zabie rolled her eyes dramatically at her best friend's muddle headedness.
"Even if that dumb Adam doesn't get it.. I understand how you feel towards him!"
Making an annoyed face, Zabie pointed out the obvious which made Tianna blush like a tomato.
"Zabie!!"
Shrieking in embarrassment, Tianna threw her pink plushie at Zabie which she caught easily.
"What? Now you're defending him..! It's not fair.."
Hugging the plushie close to herself, Zabie puffed her plump cheeks, sporting a pitiful pout.
"I'm.. I'm tired, I need to take a nap!"
Out of words, Tianna was unable to retort against Zabie and closed her eyes, feigning sleep.
"Ms 'Campus Beauty' Tianna Jones?"
Just then, an amused voice echoed in the room, catching Tianna off-guard. And her eyes shot open.
"Are you still going to ignore me.. Hmm?"
Sporting a highly attractive smile about his lips, Adam Rhodes slightly tilted his head.
"Ad.. Adam? What are you doing here..!"
Leaping out of the duvet covering her body, Tianna asked in bewilderment. Her eyes popping out of her skull.
On the other hand, beaming, Adam Rhodes was beyond excited as he strode inside the bedroom.
To Tianna's surprise, the always cheerful Zabie unhurriedly got up, preparing to leave the room like a doll. Her head slightly low, hiding a scheming smile.
"Don't forget my reward!"
Passing by the man, Zabie glowered at him with a pout as she spat.
No matter how unwilling, she had to listen to this awfully annoying creature to get 'Mr Hotty' Swank Lo'horde's personal phone number. It was exactly how Zabie was lured by Adam!
"Zab.. You?!! You.. Sold me out?"
Getting the gist of the interaction between Adam and Zabie, as well as the super weird situation she was in, Tianna was rocked to the core.
"Nah, I'm just performing my duties as your bestfriend.. Ain't I a cute one?!"
Holding the slightly ajar door, Zabie turned to glance at her friend, an impish smirk on her glossy pink lips. She even went as far as to wink at the end.
"Hah! I'll kill you.."
Grabbing her pillow, Tianna flung it at the door, almost hitting Zabie's cute kitten like face.
"First try and kiss him.. Then I'll see if you'll still think about killing me!"
Not at all offended, Zabie stuck her tongue out as she teased Tianna mercilessly, till her face turned a deep red.
Before Tianna could react, Zabie hurriedly shut the door, disappearing from her sight.
With Zabie out of the scene, Tianna finally addressed the elephant in the room - Adam!
"You.. Why are you here?!"
Seeing the man approaching her, Tianna was on her toes as she stammered. Her delicate fists clenching the sheets tightly.
"Of course, to see if my princess is doing well.."
Biting back a smile, Adam answered truth-fully not stopping in his tracks, as thought he didn't sense Tianna's tense expression.
"I'm.. I'm fine, you can go back.. I'll see you at school tomorrow!"
Shaking her head, Tianna forced herself to not smile like a fool as she blushed harder.
"You really want me to go?!"
Furrowing his brows, Adam questioned in a strange voice, making Tianna feel uneasy.
"I.. Ye.. Yes!"
After hearing Adam question her, Tianna had a hard time coming up with an answer in her head. And she sputtered indecisively.
"Okay"
Nodding his head, Adam plopped right in front of Tianna's widened eyes onto the bed. He looked extremely comfortable and at ease.
"Huh?! Why aren't you going..!"
Once again left in shock by Adam Rhodes contradicting actions, Tianna asked out loud.
"Because.."
Moving his lips, Adam inched closer to the reddened Tianna as he drawled his words.
"I.."
"Want.."
"To.."
"Do.."
"This!"
Pecking onto her blushing cheeks, Adam burst out into a laughter much to Tianna's displeasure. Like grumpy little cat, she hit his chest before snuggling into his warm embrace with a huge grin.
Chuckling, Adam hugged her tighter, and pressed a kiss on her sweet smelling hair.
In her moment of bliss, Tianna forgot all about the mysterious green-eyed man in her dreams!
