Chapter 25: Soft Boy: 9.1

"What do you mean?"

"It's not that you smelled like home!" Jungkook's bunny ears straightened up and his doe eyes went wide, his body language spoke loudly to Seokjin, the older hybrid shifted a little and fixed Taehyung's sleeping position on one of his thigh while the other was straddled by Jungkook.

The tiger hybrid clung to his arm while Jungkook cupped his cold cheeks, the night air was freezing and Seokjin wrapped the blanket to the children but not himself.

Jungkook grinned, his bunny teeth showed proudly as he shouted, "You're our Home!"

Back to the early afternoon, the children clearly hated them, especially the tiger hybrid; Taehyung hated their scent already. The people with the same emblem as Namjoon who claimed to be their guardian to the teachers in the daycare.

To be honest, the tiger hybrid felt weird when the woman he never saw before came and said that Namjoon sent her to take her from the daycare, Seokjin never ask his younger brother to take them even once after that one time where both Taehyung and Jungkook ended up drew uncle Joon's office with their colourfull markers (and the silver-haired hybrid never erase that drawing even after Seokjin apologized ten times).

They just met Namjoon when they went to the old mansion where they used to live before with grandpa.

The woman was pretty, too beautiful to be here. Her slim figure was the first thing Taehyung noticed and he hated her. The full black attires and that black glasses, also the citrus smell of a scent blocker that covered her real scent.

Jungkook refused to be carried by her, he glued to his older brother's side. He was clinging like a baby koala even though he was a baby bunny. The woman chuckled, eyes fond but yet the bunny hybrid felt chill ran down his spine.

"Where's Appa?" the little boy asked, the woman smiled sadly. She didn't speak anything and opened the black car's door instead of answering, "Where's Appa?" the little boy asked once again but he didn't get an answer. The woman lifted them from the ground and put them inside the car, Taehyung hissed but what could they possibly do to an adult?

There was another man who sat on the driver seat, the black car was similar to Namjoon's car but different at the same time. It was no doubt from the same family but not the one they rode when the silver-haired hybrid took them to an amusement park.

Taehyung noticed how the sun was still out there, shining so brightly outside the window. It wasn't the right time, they should still be in the daycare until the sun goes down and the sky turns to be a beautiful shade of orange and purple.

"Miss, we should stay in daycare until the sun is setting," the tiger hybrid stood up and held the seat, the woman remained calm beside the driver seat, "miss-"

"Please take a seat," she said, looking back with a stoic face but the hybrid could sense some pity from the woman and how tensed the driver beside her was while driving.

Seokjin or Jimin, or maybe Yoongi always used the train instead of a car, Taehyung remembered the way to the train station but he was blind if they used a car.

Jungkook pulled Taehyung's shirt, the older boy sat back and looked to his younger brother, "I'm scared," the little boy whispered, the tiger boy nodded; he was scared too but deep down he believed Seokjin would come to save them.

The traffic jam slowed them down and Taehyung looked outside the window, seeing so many stores he never visits or sees before. He bit his lips anxiously, he tried his best to hide his fear but Jungkook could see it as clear as the day. Small fists, curled tail, ears flattened on their heads, both of the children let out a stressed scent but none of the adults speaks about it.

Their face was gloomy until the car stopped near a flower store and Taehyung saw a hoodie man stood before the store's entrance. He saw Seokjin with an apron, approaching with a friendly smile to the hoodie man who seemed to be asking a question.

"Appa!" Taehyung shouted from inside the car, Jungkook pressed his face to the car's window too like his older brother and the woman panicked a little but she remembered their position was too far from Seokjin's store. Taehyung tried to open the door but he couldn't, obviously because the driver didn't unlock the central lock.

"Appa is there!" Jungkook shouted, "Open!" he technically screamed but the adults turned deaf for them, "Hyung!" Taehyung was trying his best to open the door, he ended up hitting the window and kicking the door, a futile attempt.

Seokjin went back inside the store and the man left a note for him on the bench, picking up some flower from the display outside and left the store. The man was walking to their car, the driver immediately unlocked the car's lock to let the man open the door.

Taehyung and Jungkook tried to get out at the same time but the man caught them and threw them back inside at once. Closing the door and sat on the passenger seat beside both of the children who glared at him.

Jungkook hissed and Taehyung growled, the man chuckled and the driver started the engine once again, the woman looked to the front; refusing to see the man with the children. The bunny hybrid rubbed his ears while the tiger hybrid touched his tail, the stranger hurt them when he threw them back inside the car.

"Hey kiddo," the man smirked, half of his face was overshadowed by his cap. He shoved his mask to his pocket and tilted his head, staring at the children with amusement. One thousand and one scenarios played inside his head, oh this gonna be so interesting.

"I never expected Jin to adopt kids like you two," the hybrids tensed up when the stranger mentioned their father, "he really turned to be so domestic, isn't he?"

"Who are you?" Taehyung asked, hand entwining with Jungkook's smaller hand and he felt so unsafe in here with the stranger especially. The man cooed when the tiger hybrid pulled Jungkook behind him, trying to protect his younger brother from the danger.

The man grinned widely, "an old friend," he replied, "you dada's old friend," his hand clenched into a fist. The memories where Jin embarrassed him in front of the audience in the Hell's ring played, how shameful for a champion like him to be beaten into a plump with a slim man like Seokjin.

Both of the children would help him, acting as the baits to lure Seokjin to his trap. For an act of revenge, he smirked; he couldn't wait to have his fun time with the broken hybrid.

He still couldn't believe that Seokjin's family offered him this opportunity, those old hags really were the worst, and they wanted to annihilate the broken hybrid because he was a threat for them.

Most of the families wanted to have Seokjin as the next leader even though the hybrid lost his wings due to an accident they tried to hide, because yes, those sick elders were the one who started the fire.

Seokjin's presence alone screamed authority, he was strong and he was the perfect heir but he never listens. He could start a revolution, he could change every rotten element those elders built for years, they needed to kill him when they had the chance.

Taehyung and Jungkook turned to be his weakness, to be the flaw from his protection wall. They made a deal with Seokjin's enemy. The agreement happened because both of the sides wanted the hybrid to be death. They didn't even care about the children, they were just tools to have Seokjin on his knees.

Hell's ring, a place where he lost would be Seokjin's resting place.
