Chapter 23: 8.2

The world is taken care of by several huge organizations who also takes a big part in the government, in the world. Their country is no different. People with high social status, people who owned titan companies; be it human, be it hybrid, the strong ruled the weak.

Half of the hybrids are living with the humans, hiding their hybrid side desperately while the other half is fighting to have the authority to rule over humans.

The Tiger Kim from the East and The Kim from the north, both are from a different family who has a big role in today's society.

The Kim from the north is Seokjin and Namjoon's family while The Tiger from the east happened to be Taehyung's parents, what a coincidence.

Seokjin wondered if his grandfather actually knew about this truth but chose to keep it as a secret because the hybrid believed his grandfather could take Taehyung's custody easily but the old man post-pone it for a long time until his life came to the end.

Taehyung's parents were kind, they gave Seokjin and the children a ride from the restaurant to their simple apartment and they didn't give any judgmental look when they saw what kind of apartment Seokjin was living in.

The tiger hybrid's mom, she accompanied them until their room and she gave a soft peck to her son's forehead; Taehyung was sleeping soundly inside Seokjin's arms. Jungkook was sleepy but he didn't sleep, he woke up when the car stopped and insisted to walk.

The bunny hybrid gave his iconic bunny smile to Taehyung's mom and bowed back when she gave a slight bow to them, Seokjin was holding her son so he couldn't reply; she cooed when Jungkook waved her a good-bye.

"Visit us again," Seokjin found himself shouting without thinking twice when she was about to get into the elevator, Taehyung's mother stood frozen for a while before she beamed with happiness; just like Taehyung when he got extra cookies.

"I will!" she bowed once again before stepping into the elevator, Seokjin watched her until the elevator's door slid closed.

"Appa," Jungkook called him when he fished out the key from his back pocket.

Seokjin inserted the key and twisted it smoothly, "yeah?" he replied, Jungkook was clutching his ripped jeans, leaning to his thigh and his ears flopped down; flat on his head.

"They are Taetae hyung's mama and papa?" he asked with a small voice, Jungkook looked up with glassy eyes and Seokjin panicked.

He opened the door, closing it when Jungkook got inside. He gestured the bunny hybrid to come with him to the living room, he pulled the little boy closer to him after he put Taehyung's down on the comfortable couch.

"Hey, hey," he wiped the tears from Jungkook's chubby cheeks with his thumb, "what's wrong big guy?" he drew a circle on the little boy's back.

Jungkook sobbed quietly, muffling his cries with Seokjin's broad shoulder, "t-they will take Taetae hyung away from us?" he whispered, the older man's felt the same tug he felt when Taehyung's parents first came to the VIP room of the restaurant and for a moment Taehyung also stood frozen; taken aback.

He knew deep inside the tiger's heart, that kid also felt the familiar tug. They are his real parents after all, but yet, the tiger was being sceptical. He was afraid, his parents suddenly showed up and asked for his custody. Intended to separate Taehyung from Jungkook, little did Seokjin knew; the tiger hybrid was afraid of losing him too.

"No," he blurted out, shocked by how fast he answered too just like Jungkook, "no, no, they won't," Seokjin assured him, more like assuring himself. Seokjin tried his best to look tough, hard to believe but lately, he was aware of the fact that; he was also attached to the children.

"They won't?" Jungkook doubted him and his hands clenched into tiny fists, Seokjin nodded. He kissed the bunny's nose, making the young bunny giggled. Seokjin ruffled his raven hair, kissing his forehead next and then his puffy eyes, "promise me, appa," he sniffed, his fluffy bunny ears twitched.

Seokjin entwined their pinky finger, his long crooked finger made Jungkook's pinky finger looked even smaller than before, "I promise, I won't let them take Taetae away from us," the bunny hybrid grinned.

Taehyung caught Seokjin out of his guard when he practically jumped to his back and hugged his neck tightly, "promise me too," he sobbed, the older hybrid thought the tiger boy was sleeping but maybe he pretended to be sleeping since the car stopped so he didn't need to greet his own mother; Taehyung is a clever kid.

Seokjin patted his head, "hey, look at me," he pleaded softly, Taehyung shook his head. Seokjin could feel his collar became wet because of the boy's tears, "come on; let me see your face, tiger."

Taehyung pouted, getting down from the couch and stood beside Jungkook who stood before Seokjin who sat on the couch, the tiger's tail wrapped around the older hybrid's left hand, "promise me you will never let them take me away from you, from Jungkook, from our home!"

Seokjin caught Taehyung's hand, holding it tightly, his bigger hands engulfed the younger's small fist, "look at my eyes," he said, the tiger boy looked up slowly with teary eyes.

The black haired hybrid smiled to the brown haired hybrid, Seokjin leaned closer and kissed Taehyung's puffy eyes and then caressed the younger boy's brown hair gently, "I will never, ever, let them do that," he looked straight to the boy's eyes.

"You know after I was late to pick both of you from the daycare that day," he cupped Taehyung's chin, caressing the boy's cheek with his thumb, "the first and the last time I broke out promise," he said, "I will try my best so both of you will never experience the second time I break our promise," both of the children smiled.

Seokjin giggled, "But of course as long both of you behave," they nodded, wiping their tears messily and the older hybrid stopped them from doing it any further.

"Wait here, I will fetch some cold towel for your eyes," Seokjin told them, he went to the bathroom and took a small white towel from the cabinet underneath the sink. He stood up and took a glance of his own reflection from the mirror, he didn't cry; he felt proud to be strong for the children.

He went back to the living room, the background music of the boys' cartoon could be heard and he was sure Taehyung climbed to take the remote he put on the highest shelf in the living room; again.

He saw his phone buzzed and a notification popped up, he took it after he handed Taehyung and Jungkook the towel. He read the chat after he told them to press the cold towel to their eyes and then handed them cold spoons he kept in his refrigerator (he used it when his eyes looked awful in the morning).

-Hi, sorry to disturb you. This is Taehyung's mother. First, even though I already told you this, Seokjin-ah, thank you so much for taking care Taehyung. He looks really in love with you, I can see how he loves you; like you're his galaxy. Same goes for Jungkook, he is a really adorable bunny.

-I don't know and I really want to learn from you, what you do? What do you give to them? How to express our affection correctly? You're so young, yet, you're a really caring father; I can see it from the way you patted their hair but you also scolded them when they misbehave.

-I'm really happy when you told me to visit you again, I will; I won't take Taehyung from your side, no; my husband and I regretted what we said to you before but we really hope our son will open himself with us and accept us to be a part of his family, his beloved home.

-Call me or my husband anytime you need any help, please don't hesitate and yes; we will not give up for paying the daycare's fee! Also, is it okay if I think you as my eldest son too? Please tell me if you're uncomfortable.

Seokjin leaned to the wall, he smiled gently. Honestly, he was sceptical with a mother figure. His own mother dumbed him away when he lost his wings, the time when he couldn't be the next leader of their clan.

She acted as if he and Namjoon didn't exist back then when the result of her husband fell upon her children, she acted like a victim and never look back to simply see their condition. This time, he felt like he could trust someone else other than Yoongi, Hoseok, Namjoon, and Dongwook, he could trust Taehyung's parents as well.

Taehyug's parents are different, he could feel it in his bones. Seokjin closed his eyes, enjoying Taehyung and Jungkook's laughter, both of the little hybrids really brought new experiences to him and he felt blessed.

It was just, maybe he was the one who brought misery to the children's life.
