Chapter 6: Gradually, He changed: 3.1

He walked with darkness dripping off his shoulders, he smiles as beautiful as an angel but he fights as deathly as a grim reaper. They say that the loveliest angels make the cruelest demons, he was so kind and pretty before they dragged him into the depths of burning hell.

A wolf is a wolf even in a cage, even dressed in silk.

The only thing he knows is that he is full of wounds and still standing on his feet with broken wings.

Serendipity, you don't have to understand it. You just have to have faith.

Up till now, Seokjin always had thought he would never believe bullshit like life-changing encounters. He used to be that innocent kid with a happy-go-lucky smile but when reality punched him in the gut and demanded him to be an adult when he was nothing but a normal kid, he lost almost all of his faith.

He wore his hatred like a second skin, some memories never leaving his bones. Like salt in the sea, they become a part of him and yet, he found two kids that love the ocean too much for his liking.

It is both a blessing and a curse, to feel everything so very deeply. Their innocent smile stole all the toxic words away from his mouth. The young boy he once knew, the boy that loved Mario and pink and thought had died years ago came out. The boy now laughed, smiled back to him when he looked at the mirror.

Seokjin hated when people hear his cries because he wanted to be that strong boy who protects his only brother in the past.

At the same time, though, he hated how nobody noticed how torn apart and broken he was.

There's a storm inside his head and it's killing all the flowers inside. Never had he expected someday the storm would turn into soft rains, where the raindrops caress the flowers instead of destroying them.

"Be careful," Moonbyul smirked when Seulgi kept flirting with Seokjin, the black-haired hybrid was cleaning the café table with a sweet smile, "damaged people are dangerous, darling," she told her, "they know how to make hell feel like home."

Seokjin shook his head and waved to other waiters to take care his job (almost all done except putting back new teaspoons on the table), "come on," he said, "I didn't invite you to this café for telling bad information about me and scaring away my customers, Byul-yi," the silver-haired woman chuckled.

"Then why did my dear Jinnie call me? He even asked me out for a date after ditching me yesterday," Seokjin sat across her, she put her elbows on the table and stared at him with clear fondness.

"I'm not ditching you," Seokjin groaned.

She pouted, "Hwasa kept sulking after you suddenly came to us and say you quit working as our famous bartender, but you keep working in this poor café! We pay you better than this!" Seokjin gave a soft tap to the table.

"Because I want to be your guest instead of your worker, Moon-ah," he teased. The other woman slapped his hand, "okay, I didn't have time to explain yesterday but I will explain it today. I will keep working at your club," Moonbyul's eyes sparkled, "but only on Sunday's night."

"What?!" she hissed, "why?! You used to work five days a week! We give you a high pay with a lot of bonuses, Jin!" she reasoned.

Seokjin nodded, "yes, but it's dangerous," he drank the iced tea, "people keep tailing after me, I can't let them see my children."

Moonbyul eyed him boringly, "children? Great, now you're going to use that bullshit to dump me and my sisters," she waved her hand, looking totally betrayed.

"I'm not kidding, after this I will go to Hoseok and register them to the nursery school," he said casually, Moonbyul gazed at him with disbelief .

"You expect me to believe you ?" she sounded doubtful, but Seokjin just shrugged. He patted Moonbyul's back before going back to his job.

"I just want you to know I'm still working on Sunday nights," he added. He chose to work for one day; he loved the Mamamoo's sister, after all, he cares for them like his family.

"You asked me to come from miles away just for that?" Moonbyul replied with disbelief, Seokjin grinned.

He nodded, admitting, "I have to pick Taehyung and Jungkook after this, and it's impossible for you to pick up my calls. I don't have any other option but to say it right to your face, Byul-ah, I can't bring them to the night district and you all are too sober to pick a phone call," he said sarcastically.

"I'm your best human friend, Jinnie," she hissed, still doubting the fact Seokjin suddenly had children. She knew that man loved to play, loved to break people's hearts but she never expected the man to settle down with kids.

He must be joking. She will wait until Seokjin gets bored of whatever that he kept him busy now and accept him again later.
