He knew that Avery was in love with him but she never expressed her love directly due to the shock she experienced after marriage. It was the first time since their marriage that Avery had put her filling on her lips. 234

"Why are you crying?" When Avery asked Alex about this, he noticed that there were tears in his eyes without his approval, which were tears of joy.
