Chapter 58: Intermission: Just Another Normal Quest (Part 5)

"RARGGHH!!!"
Another inhuman scream permeated the room.
"Such sweet music."
Looking down I saw that the goblin was desperately trying to crawl away from me as it abandoned its newly severed legs. I couldn't really remember why I was in this room, and I didn't really care anymore. All I knew was that I wanted to rend flesh from bone.
I walked over to the feebly crawling goblin and stomped my foot on one of its stumps to stop it from moving. This naturally caused it to release another wonderful noise.
"RARGGHH!!!"
After savoring it for a moment I swung my scythe, bisecting the creature through the stomach. I was a little sad knowing it couldn't make any more noises, but that's alright I'm now on to the main event! I turned my gaze over and saw the last living thing in the room.
It was the fat and over sized female goblin of this particular hive. My eyes then fell to the right of her where there were several things that looked like eggs from a certain famous SCI-FI movie. The only difference being there was a hole on the side for the males to "fertilize" the egg.
The memory was slowly fading, but I vaguely recalled seeing a few of male goblins vigorously humping them when I entered this place. Who knows how many people and creatures she had gorged herself on to create all these eggs, but I guess it didn't matter anyways. Only one thing mattered right now.
I walked over to the fat goblin and as I got closer I could see her struggle against my minions who had restrained her. Even in this darkness, thanks to the night vision my job gave me, I could see the anger and fear on its face.
"That's a good face. However...I think it could be better."
I walked to the right and after reaching the nest of eggs I started swinging my scythe. One swing. Two swings. Three swings. I could feel my scythe pulsate again and again as it reaped the unborn life in each of the eggs.
"RAWWRRRR!!!!!"
I looked over to see the goblin furiously trying to fight against its restraints, its eyes bulging as it glared daggers at me.
"Good. Good. That hatred, that anguish, that fear...it is wonderful. Now, it is your turn."
I came back in front of the goblin and swung my scythe straight down its stomach, puncturing it straight through to the dirt.
"RAWWRRRR!!!!!"
"Hahahaha. Wonderful. Keep screaming for me!"
I stared straight at it, enjoying the fear in its eyes. I then slowly started dragging the scythe downward like I was opening a box.
"RAWWRRRR!!!!!....rawrrr.....ra.....warrr....rrrr"
Its renewed screams steadily became weaker and weaker as I made my way slowly down until finally I reached the end, and the screams stopped. All of its insides fell out onto the dirt from the new opening I created. Looking at the sight, feelings of accomplishment and euphoria hit me again, and I leaked a sigh of contentment.
"Ahhhhhhhhh."
The euphoria started leaking more from me and I started laughing. I couldn't stop. It felt as if all the emotions I had up till now had finally erupted into the form of insane laughter.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA."

"Ughh...what happened?"
I felt like I was waking up from a dream, and for some reason I felt like a large burden had been lifted from me. I suddenly recalled some muddy visions about...slaughter? ๐๐ฉ ๐ด๐ฉ๐ช๐ต! I suddenly realized I was probably coming out of an episode of [๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐๐ซ] again. I looked around in a panic and noticed all the mutilated goblin corpses strewn across the ground.
As I looked around I prayed I hadn't killed anyone I shouldn't have in that state. My eyes finally fell upon the body of a woman that was impaled from anus to mouth with a long wooden pole. ๐๐ฉ ๐ง๐ถ๐ค๐ฌ! ๐๐ฉ ๐ง๐ถ๐ค๐ฌ! ๐๐ฉ ๐ง๐ถ๐ค๐ฌ! ๐๐ช๐ฅ ๐ ๐ฅ๐ฐ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ข๐ต?!?
After panicking for a moment I noticed that her right leg was missing. It looked like it was...chewed off? Looking around some more I saw another wooden pole sticking out of the ground, and saw the remains of a person as well. However, all that remained on the second pole was the torso of the person. Thinking about it I remembered the scene when I found Rigrit Emerldon, the goblins were about to impale her with a long wooden rod as well.
"...This is...fucked up....but at least I didn't kill them."
Those words accidentally leaked from my mouth. I had thought I was talking to myself in the darkness, but then I suddenly heard what sounded like a small whimper. I swept my gaze around the room, but didn't see anything. Was I hearing things?
"...mmm..."
There it was again. I definitely heard it again. I ordered one of my Demonic Rabbits to try and find whatever was making that noise. The rabbit moved in a straight line and arrived in front of the woman who was impaled. ๐๐ช๐ฅ ๐ฎ๐บ ๐ค๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ง๐ข๐ช๐ญ?
I tried ordering it again, but it didn't move and I sensed that it was communicating to me "I already found it right here!". I was confused for a moment before the realization struck me. I walked up to the woman, trying to ignore all the gruesome wounds and the wooden rod coming out of her mouth, and listened closely.
"...mmm..."
My eyes widened in astonishment and shock. She was alive, but that meant the goblins had missed all her major vitals.
