MONTAGE:
Toss is won by the Makers, hustled by Bets; no defense, a Maker goes for a slam tailed by one bet; misses, mad scramble for the ball; top of keyhole, a Bet gets the ball lying on the floor; passes blindly to the back with both hands; ball descending towards middle of shaded area; a Bet leaps high to meet the ball mid-air; catches the ball from his back with outstretched right hand and on his descent lays-up the ball right on top of the ring! SPECTACULAR SHOT! People in the coliseum go wild for such a rare shot. MA-1 apes the move while seated, nips the forehead of the person behind him and accidentally elbows Tisha's head. They didn't mind. The game proceeds with intensity until the dying seconds when both teams were still tied at 98-all. In bound for the Bets just 15 seconds to go; intercepted by a Maker with 12 to go. Dribbles around the perimeter and with 3 seconds to go, fires a three pointer. The ball skims the ring, bounces on the board then around again on the ring before slowly dropping in the left side.
As they troop to the outside of the coliseum, they still don't understand why people make such kind of competition that causes some players to almost go at each other.
SA-1:
I still don't get it. What satisfaction do they get from a competition that almost causes them to fight?
MA-1:
Maybe that is because of their emotions that are uncontrolled not like ours!
MA-2:
Are we not losing sight of our objective? . . . I mean . . . should they not be learning from us and not us learning from them?
Dan, Pamela and Tisha are more than ten paces ahead of the three nearing the crowded exit gates. Dan is still getting to be more familiar with the two girls.
SA-1:
(glancing at MA-2)
Point is . . . how do we find out how we could make them--- like us?
MA-1:
Simplest way is get a gene from them; manipulate it, then try it on some of them!
A few minutes later, they all get to the car of Dan Hill. Opens his side of the door and before getting in . . .
DAN HILL:
So, where to from here? The night is still young and the girls might want to party!
TISHA:
That's fine with us, but not too late, huh?
Pamela goes over to the three, just five paces away.
PAMELA:
(to MA-2)
Any place you have in mind?
MA-2:
(looks at SA-1 & MA-1)
Well, uhhhh . . . well, I really don't know with them.
SA-1:
I don't feel very well, and, we've still got a lot to talk about, don't we?
MA-2:
(to Hill)
Why don't you instead take them girls, perhaps they won't mind us taking time-out?
PAMELA:
(turned off)
I guess Tish and I would rather be alone too, in our place!
Sensing some 'coldness' from the two camps, Dan gets in the car with some whistling, unlocks the other doors.
DAN HILL:
The consensus is… all would rather hit the sack right away! We'd better be on our way!
Without anyone saying a word, they all get in. Shortly, they're at the girls' apartment, still no one talks. As Pamela gets out of the car after Tisha . . .
PAMELA:
Can I talk to Chris, alone, please?
Tisha proceeds to the apartment after waving goodbye to the men. MA-2 stays with Pamela as the other guys get back in the car. Pam talks to MA-2, shyly, like a little girl, twisting her feet on her ankles . . .
PAMELA:
Is there anything wrong with me…?
I mean… don't you find me attractive… or, I mean… aren't you interested in me?
MA-2:
(confused)
You're okay . . . you're fine…
But we have some priorities we can't do away with now. I'll give you a call soon, okay?
(while holding Pam on both arms at arm's length)
Without a word, Pam turns with a little wave from one hand below her hip line. MA-2 scratches his head in wonder. As he gets back in the car . . .
MA-1:
What was that all about?
MA-2:
Let's just talk about it in the motel… I hope you don't mind, Dan?
DAN HILL:
Oh, of course not . . .
EXT./INT. – MOTEL OF THE ALIENS
Soon, Dan stops the in front of the motel lobby, and the three aliens get out. Dan Hill not so sure about the effect of the game asks . . .
DAN HILL:
How'd you guys find the game?
MA-1:
Just like the other games we saw on TV. Nothing really much.
DAN HILL:
(taken aback)
Now, I don't get you guys! It was some hell of a game and you say that!
(pissed off, jump starts his car away)
SA-1:
That's our problem, we can't feel the way they feel.
They walk towards the front desk. Get their room key. On the way to their room, everyone quiet, heads down, all wondering if they are right into what they are doing.
MA-2:
(letting MA-1 & SA-1 in the room)
I think you're right about getting human gene and try what you've said, MA-1.
MA-1:
From whom do we get a gene and try it on?
SA-1:
Of course from someone, who knows us and trusts us.
MA-2:
Who will it be Dan Hill or Pamela?
SA-1:
Probably, both of them. At least, one male and one female?
INT. – MOTEL ROOM AND SPACECRAFT – EARLY DAWN
With the cellphone like device, SA-1 communicates with the spacecraft. At the spacecraft, SA-1 appears in one of the monitors. On the monitor . . .
INTERCUT:
SA-1:
Are we capable of altering the genetic code a human gene in the spacecraft?
PANEL CREW(female):
We can, but it will take about ten earth days.
SA-1:
Can we get a gene from any part of the human body?
PANEL CREW:
Yes, and even from any liquid they expel.
While SA-1 is communicating, MA-1 and MA-2 are discussing in the background, how to get any tissue from Dan Hill and Pamela.
MA-2: (O.S.)
I can pull a hair from Pamela.
SA-1:
How long will it take to dominate other genes if infused on human?
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
