Odd Looking House
It was midnight.
We see winds flow on Carlth's hair as he is on a top of a train.
An enemy approaches, it was some sort of a lizard with opened back.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAA!" the lizard screams from a distance as it's background does a radial blur and a shake effect sets in.
Carlth summons a sawed off shotgun and shoots.
(Bang) (Tsh-ck) (Bang) (Tsh-ck) (Bang) (Tsh-ck) (Bang) (Tsh-ck)
The event occured in swift fashion as the 2nd and 4th shot hits the lizard on the head.
Carlth explains his current state as he deal with the situation.
(It's been so long) he says as he stares.
(I did so many missions in a while) he says as the lizard opens its back wider to unleash vines that charged at him.
(Bang) (Tsh-ck) (Bang) (Tsh-ck) (Bang) (Tsh-ck)
He shoots his shotgun once again and run out of bullets. The 1st shot and the 3rd shot hits the lizard's shoulders and eyes but it seems to be unaffected.
Carlth then continues telling his state as he runs towards another train.
(I'll be B-Class after this, I have to do my best) he says.
He then jumps on another train, switches to M16 and shoots barrage of bullets on the lizard.
(TATATATATATATTATAATTATATATATATATATATA) he sent the full cartridge but the lizard is still alive.
He runs further and finds a spot where he sees a door that can be opened.
He goes down to unlock it then launches a radio on his watch to talk to the driver of the train.
"Stop this immediately and run away" he commands.
As he talks, the lizard was looking down at him from above.
It then released another roar.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Carlth decides to be swift and unlock it immediately.
Finally he did but the train isn't stopping.
He then enters.
He notices that the train is moving without a passenger.
He then checks out to the driver room.
The driver is dead as his face were dripping blood and is resting on the buttons.
Suddenly, crushing metal sounds were heard from above in quite a distance.
Carlth checks it out.
The top of the train is slowly getting destroyed.
Not so long, a hole opens followed by loud sounds and gust of wind.
The face of lizard takes a peek followed by vines.
Carlth summons his sword to cut each incoming vine.
It was a total of 6.
There were other 3 chasing him.
He then decided to slice through and run further.
He then finds a spot and anticipate's the next decision the lizard would make.
He poses an overhead stance as the edge of the blade shines and his sharp eyes waits.
The lizard then peeks and slowly enters the train by the same hole.
He then tosses his sword and pins the lizard by the wall.
The guts of the lizard splatters along with its blood after reaching the wall.
He then finds this as an opportunity to reload.
He summoned his sawed off shotgun and materializes a single bullet.
The lizard shakes as it struggles to escape.
We see Carlth's shotgun getting highlighted until it reaches his eyes.
He then performs a shot.
(Bang)
The shot was felt in many angles.
View from his back, view from his left and the lizard's point of view as it takes the bullet.
As the lizard get's killed, he supposed to confirm the mission but the train suddenly got lost from the rail.
He then used the home teleportation command to go back at the base.
He obtained this command after reaching D-Rank.
Blue circle with runes starts appearing from his top and his feet.

2...
1...
He disappears as the rune consumes him.
The train meanwhile crashes on a tower and explodes as its debris flies around.
Now he's back at the base.
He pants.
He sees 2 people talking in front of him but its meaningless so he decided to confirm the mission in a while.
Right after he do, his rank increased from C to B and received his reward.
He then wipes his sweat and smiles.
Just right after that, he decided to go on his room.
He passed by a lot of people and some were looking at him.
It doesn't make any sense to him so he just continued walking towards the path he is taking.
Suddenly, a small woman with white hair, motivated eyes, white rabbit hoodie, white leggings and white shoes passes by.
He hears voices in the background as her passing was felt slow.
(Isn't that Chronos?) a woman's voice was heard.
(She's a Master Mercenary isn't it?) says another woman.
(I wanna be like her!) the first woman replied.
(Why is she here) says the 2nd woman.
Coincidentally, the woman with yellow hair, blue eyes, and black jacket was there as she plays with her handheld console.
She had no ponytail this time around.
For some reason, they had a stare down.
"Chronos" the woman with blue eyes speaks on her head as she stares.
"Leila" says Chronos as she stares up to Leila who seems to be the blue eyed woman.
Chronos suddenly summons crystal shards on her hands as she emits aura.
Leila summoned her steel gloves as well that doesn't have steel on fingers.
Leila then pauses a battle stance and Chronos starts to levitate and sorround her back with crystals.
Suddenly, the man with scar on his face came and stops the two by opening his arms while in middle of them hitting Chrono's chest and Leila's shoulder.
Carlth thinks that the beef could be worth listening so he stopped for a bit.
"Stop this" says the man but was ignored.
"I heard you're a Master Mercenary now Leila" says Chronos as her crystals spins around.
"I deserve it" Leile replied.
Chronos smiled.
"Are you planning to clear Deadly Passage?" Chronos asks.
(What is Deadly Passage) Carlth speaks on his head.
"Not yet, But I'll be coming there to confirm the rumors" says Leila.
The man then sweats and shouts at the two.
"Stop this!" he angrily suggests.
The two then looks at him.
"Shut up, Nico" they say.
Chronos then notices that Nico's hands are on her small chest so she slaps them lightly and moves an eyebrow.
Nico understood and removes his hand.
He removed his other hand on Leila's shoulder as well.
"Just stop this, ok?" he says as he looks down.
"I'm just greeting a friend" says Chronos then ends it with a smile.
"You always do this to new Masters" says Leila.
Chronos then hides her crystals and stops levitating as she goes down.
"Whelp, I just checked you out" she says.
Leila then removes her battle stance and hides her gloves.
"Congratulations" says Chronos as she smiles again.
She removes her smile as we see her lips speak as she tells something.
"I kinda missed you. I still remember when we used to do things together when we were low rank" she says.
"Oh well, time flies" she says then smiles again.
"Gotta go" says Chronos then jumps happily as she goes away.
"What's the deal with you and Chronos?" Nico asks Leila.
"You don't wanna know" Leila replied.
"And even if you do, no one can stop her" she adds.
As the beef ends, Carlth decides to continue going back to his apartment.
As he enters, he opened it using a wireless command on his watch then enters.
He checks the fridge and gets some food to place at the table.
He then gets his new clothes, a towel and aims for the bathroom.
Before he enters he talks on his head.
(I can't believe I'm finally B-Rank) he says.
He then slides the door aiming for the bathroom.
As he enters, he speaks.
"I wonder what's the deal with those two" he says then finally takes a shower naked.
Meanwhile, we see a woman with straight black hair and brown eyes staring at a gate leading to a big house with color of black and white as her background were land, trees and grass.
She's wearing a white uniform with blue tie and black skirt with leggings and shoes as well as armor on the knees.
She then speaks on her head.
(I've been recruiting for 30 minutes, no one still coming)
(Are Rank B's this pussy) she adds.
Fast forward, Carlth is done bathing and immediately wears his watch to check out the Co. Chat and party recruits.
Everything seems to be normal except the party recruit section.
Someone was spamming.
"Looking for partner to clear a big house, fucking come here holy shit" says the recruit.
Carlth taps it and talks to the host via chat.
"Hello" he initiates.
We see the girl having a notification.
She then opens the whisper.
It was Carlth's message.
She then quickly replied with anxious look.
"Ok, no long talk. Just come here and I'll wait"
"Might spend a teleport I don't know. I want this fast" she says.
Carlth receives it and immediately changes clothes.
The woman then starts stalking and sees Carlth's profile.
"Carlth Genesis..." she reads.
"Mhm..." she then points her fingers to her lips as she lowers her head and shows a curious look.
"Achieved Rank B, 3 hours ago" she continues reading.
As she scrolls more at the progress thread, she noticed that Carlth took 4 months.
"That's actually good" she says.
"We'll be doing good I bet" she adds then sits down on the grass and looks at the sky and the birds.
"Ah... Lovely" she reacts.
Suddenly, she received another notification.
"I'm good" it was Carlth.
"I hope you have enough teleportation for coming and going out" Carlth suggests.
"No worries" the girl replied.
"Get ready" she adds.
She then summons the teleportation rune on Carlth's position and sends him to the spot.
Small gust of wind was felt as he arrives.
"Welcome!" she greets with a smile.
"I'm Sargine Schimitar" she introduces as she sends a hand for a shake.
"Carlth Genesis" Carlth catches it and holds her.
(There are soft and rough parts, I wonder what's her traits) Carlth speaks on his head.
"Shall we start?" she asks.
"Sure" Carlth replied.
She then faces at the gate and charges her fist.
Circles starts to surge followed by huge energy.
She then charges and lands a punch that flew the gate.
It was so strong that the gate bounced and destroyed some parts of the house.
Sargine's hands then starts to steam.
"Lovely" she reacts.
Carlth gulps from what he just seen.
(What is this woman) he speaks.
(This doesn't look like a rank B would do) he adds as he sweats.
Sargine then looks at him and smiles.
"Let's go!" she says then tilts her head.
"Alright" Carlth replied then summoned a pistol.
Sargine leads the entry and nothing welcomed them.
The entrance of the house seemed empty.
They then immediately aims for the door.
Sargine attempts another strong punch and Carlth quickly reacts.
"Huh?" Sargine reacts to the interruption.
Carlth gives a bored look and simply opens the door.
"Ohh..." Sargine reacts then enters.
They were welcomed by a room with stairs at the center and two paths at the side.
They stood as they felt a presence of a Coron.
"Did you feel that?" Sargine asks as she poses a battle stance.
"Yeah" says Carlth as he hold his pistol tighter.
Suddenly, a quadrupedal ghoul-looking Coron appears from above as its contents leak.
"Gargruargh..." the ghoul releases a sound as it looks at the two.
Suddenly, it turns around and crawls away.
Sargine attempts a chase but just right after the first step, monsters appear from the side.
They were hiding.
Carlth follows and notices it as well.
There was a liquid like monster with a head that looks like a bald head with sharp fangs except they're not teeth.
On the right one, there was a quite huge armored Coron wielding a sword.
(Metal Sounds) the Coron stood straighter and pins the ground using its sword.
"I'll take this armored and you take the liquid" Sargine suggests.
"Alright" Carlth answers.
Carlth then starts shooting the liquid Coron and its head immediately splatters.
Sargine charges at the armored Coron and punches it, causing it to fly and destroy the room.
(Cough) (Cough) Sargine coughed from inhaling the smoke from debris.
She then continues and enters the path she made.
The liquid tried to devour Carlth but he summoned his sword and slices it.
Its contents splattered on the sides and a drop was sent to Carlth's face.
Carlth just wiped it.
Meanwhile, Sargine continues chasing the armored Coron and they ended up on a grassy area with a small doghouse.
It slowly stood up and swings its blade as intimidation then charges as it slides the sword from the ground creating a spark.
Sargine anticipates.
We see her blurred as the Coron moves and walks slowly closer to her.
As the armored Coron reaches, it performs an upward swing.
Sargine reacted by rolling on the side causing it to miss.
She then performs a spinning kick causing us to see her shorts and some sort of yellow underneathe followed by a gust of wind that was sent to the armored Coron.
However, it doesn't affect the Coron.
She then decided to look around for something else useful and finds the pole.
She immediately removes it and attacks the Coron with it.
The pole bends and gives a scratch on the Coron's armor as it emits a metal sound.
Sargine had to react quickly as the Coron is getting close.
It then decides to land a downward slash above Sargine's head.
Sargine's face was covered by the shadow of the blade as she gives a surprised look.
She then holds the blade and stops it mid-air with her hands.
While holding, she decided to boost her power a bit and it released a blue blazing aura for a second.
She then bends the blade, jumps to it and performs a charged downward punch to the armored Coron's face.
The helm was flattened by the punch and the whole armor drops the ground.
(Crash)
Dust smokes appear as Sargine goes down.
She then anticipates whats happening next.
A ball with a dot eyes levitates out and attempts to escape.
Sargine performs another spinning kick that sliced it to half.
"Easy" she says then wipes the sweat from her forehead.
Meanwhile, Carlth is still fighting the liquid Coron.
He started summoning his 2 Uzi's and sends out barrage of shots.
(TTATATATATATATATTATA PEW PEW PEW)
They were hitting but the damage isn't enough to kill the Coron.
Carlth then runs outside and the Coron follows after destroying the door.
Sargine hears that sound.
"What is that?" she asks herself then checks out.
She sees Carlth running towards her.
As Carlth reaches Sargine, he looks left.
He then sees the ghoul and is now attempting to jump on him.
It jumps and takes a bite on his shoulders.
"Gakh!" he felt the bite and he bleeds.
Sargine looks on her front then on side as she decides what to do.
The liquid Coron lands a strike but it missed as Sargine decides to help Carlth.
She performs a spinning kick with her left leg starting from left to right that made the Ghoul Coron fly towards the Liquid Coron.
They started rolling and crashing as they struck each other.
"Are you alright?" Sargine asks.
"I'm good, this bite just kinda hurt" Carlth replied as he was sat down.
Suddenly, they heard a roar from a distance.
"Grooooar!" the two fused into one.
It is now a standing ghoul with liquid drips on its foot and tentacles on its back.
It was quite huge.
The Ghouliq (Liquit + Ghoul) sends out tentacles to attack Sargine.
Sargine was surprised and her body was constricted.
"Ah!" she struggles.
Carlth then decides to summon his shotgun and shoots the tentacles to cut it.
The ghoul then summons more tentacles as it gets closer and the two attempts to fight.
Sargine performed kicks and punches to stop them while Carlth summoned his sword to slice through.
Finally, the ghoul reaches.
It then lands a punch but Carlth stops it by piercing through its fist.
He then pins its fist on the ground using the sword then jumps on it to easily reach the Ghoul's head.
As he reaches, he summoned his sawed off shotgun and shots.
(Bang) (Tsh-ck) (Bang) (Tsh-ck) it hits the neck and its right cheek causing it to get crushed.
He was about to land a shot but a scream distracted him.
Sargine was caught by the tentacles and heavily contricted.
"Ngh-haa!" she struggles.
The tentacles then goes inside her mouth to make her shut up.
Carlth panicked.
He then shots.
(Bang) (Tsh-ck) (Bang) (Tsh-ck) but those two shots missed.
Suddenly, the ghoul's mouth opened very wide.
Sargine looks at it and the event was felt slow.
It then quickly devours Sargine and goes back to normal size of its head.
"Sargine!" Carlth shouts.
He then switches to M16 and barrages the Ghouliq's head.
(TATATATATATTATATTATATTATTATA) he keeps on shooting.
"Spit her out!" "Spit her out!" Carlth shouts as he shoots.
Using the Ghouliq's left arm, he slams Carlth.
Carlth crashes on the fence.
(Thud)
"Urk" he felt it.
Despite this, he keeps on shooting.
He suddenly runs out of bullet and quickly switches to pistol thinking he couldn't reload in time.
(Bang) (Bang) (Bang) (Bang) (Bang) (Bang)
He shoots all the contains causing the ghoul to knock down in each shot.
Despite this, it managed to resist.
Carlth summoned his blade then jumps as it is dropped.
He then unlocked a trait named "Infernos"
"Infernos!" he speaks and his blade blazes as he approaches.
With massive blazing power, he decides to slice to the Ghouliq's stomach.
It was so strong that the top body of the Ghouliq flies away as the slash was felt slow and blazing.
The top body of the ghouliq finally drops on further front and Carlth breathes heavily.
The place was full of steam because of the fire.
Finally the steam settles and we see Sargine with slightly ripped clothes as she is knocked out and drenched with liquid from the monster's insides.
Carlth then quickly approaches her and carries her by the head.
The liquid flows as he lifts Sargine and it caused some to go on him.
"Sargine!" "Sargine!" "Are you alright?" he says as he shakes her face.
She then slowly opens her eyes.
"I..."
"I thought I'm dead" she softly speaks.
"Phew..." Carlth felt relieved and smiles at her.
"Ok, let's confirm the mission now" he suggests.
"Thank you, Carlth" Sargine expresses gratitude.
They stared in each other for about 5 seconds until Sargine starts talking.
"You can drop me down" she suggests.
Carlth then quickly drops her.
"Ouch!" she reacts as her head hits the ground.
"Hey, that drop would probably kill me instead!" she shouts.
Carlth ignored as he is focused on confirming the mission.
"Yes!" he gives a yes motion as he was happy to confirm it.
Sargine sits down and watches him with a smile then confirms hers as well.
After confirming, Sargine talks to Carlth.
"Can I add you to my friend's list?" she asks.
"Sure" Carlth accepts.
