Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Alone with him
After discussing some more and then exchanging numbers with Melody and promising to hang out with her this weekend, everyone started to go separate ways since it was already pretty late into the night.
My brother who was supposed to be my ride home went to go check on Edgar who was found flown from the vehicle when we crashed.
Luckily, he was flown far enough so he didn't suffer too badly when the car exploded.
I feel bad though, this was due to my carelessness after all.
I will have to put some kind of basket together for him and his family or maybe a paid vacation while he recovers, probably both.
Interrupting my thoughts, I hear a deep voice say, "I will take you home Serenity."
'Holy fuck, this voice must have seduced many women. How can he both sound and look like some kind of sex god, this is a sin.' I think as I look at Colton and then feel my mouth to make sure I am not drooling as I feel my cheeks heat up from my thoughts.
Look, I may have been reborn back to when I was 16, but my mind still is that of a women in her 20's.
"It's okay, my brother shouldn't be too long, I am sure you have some buisness elsewhere." I say.
"Don't worry about it, I am already here." he says as he approaches me and holds his hand out.
I just stare at his hand for a moment completely lost as to what I am supposed to do; handshake, high five, or down low maybe. I don't even know.
Before I could consider contemplating, his large hand grabs my much smaller one and helps me out.
Our hands fit together pretty nicely, almost like a puzzle. 'Serenity, what are you thinking.'
Dahm this sex god is dangerous.
Getting up I suddenly flush in embarrassment when I notice that I am still only wearing a hospital gown.
Fuck my life, I think and then clap happily when I see some clothes folded up on the end of the bed, which I grab and quickly run into the bathroom to change.
I come out sporting some white skinny jeans, a faded black tshirt with a log and some black converse.
Casual and cute, I like it.
Melody must have got this for me, my brother would struggle to find me jeans that aren't too tall for my stupid short legs.
Colton comes up to me and grabs my hand gently and leads me out of the hospital and I just follow along dumbstruck that this idiot iceberg is holding my hand and I swear I saw a hint of a smile on that dangerously handsome face.
We walk up to some fancy black sports car, sorry guys, I know nothing about cars.
He opens the door for me and I slide in and before I can buckle my seat belt, he bends over and does it for me making me want to face palm so hard.
His face is so close to mine, I can feel his breathe on my neck, he smells so good.
This dahm sex god is turning me into a pervert. GAWH. I internally scream and flush with embarrassment. I don't even know why I am blush as if he can read my thoughts.
Stupid Colton.
He thankfully moves away, shuts my door and then gets in the driver seat and buckles himself.
He pulls away from the curb as we drive into the traffic.
"Soooo." I say breaking the silence.
"So." he says copying me.
I am about to respond when my stomach loudly growls interrupting me, making my blush for the umpteenth time, this is going to be a habit around him I fear.
"Sorry, I kind of missed lunch and dinner." I say awkwardly.
"Well it is a good thing I know an amazing resteraunt that is still open right now." he says with a chuckle and I swear I saw him smile again.
Let me just tell you now, it should be illegal for this guy to smile, like it's one of those smiles that if he asked, I would drop my panties right now for him to take me. So wrong on so many levels.
It is a shame that the foodie in me won't allow me to pass up a food offer.
"Okay, let's go, I am so hungry!" I say smiling as I wonder what kind of food will be on the menu. I could probably eat a cow right about now.
I didn't even notice I was so hungry until I started thinking about it.
A few minutes later, to my happy surprise, we pulled up in front of a sushi lounge resteraunt.
I clapped in happiness with a big smile.
Colton got out and opened my door for me and this time he didn't even have to hold his hand out as I basically grabbed his hand and dragged him in the resteraunt, failing to notice the stupid grin on his face from my initiative.
Late night sushi is soo good.
We walk in and see a waitress standing to the side holding some menus.
I am about to speak, when she ignores me and just looks at Colton, "Hello sir, would you like a table or to sit at the bar?" she says with a sickening coquettish voice.
This sex god, I can imagine attracts too many annoyances, but I too hungry to deal with this.
I tap my foot in annoyance and squeeze his hand so he will get the hint.
Apparently hearing me tap my foot struck a nerve with the flirty waitress as she finally acknowledged my existence, "Oh sorry I didn't see you there before little one, a table for two then." she smirks at me.
'This bitch.' I curse in my mind before sighing, she isn't worth it. Food is more important.
Colton was angry at her insult to his little goddess and was thinking of ways to have her dealt with after he feeds Serenity.
Sitting down, I ignore the hovering waitress and before she can say something I just grab a menu for her and open it.
She is do noisy.
Despite my movements, she still tries to tell Colton her recommendations which for some reason, her flirtyness just provokes me.
"I want the Spider roll, the high protein roll, the coconut roll and the lazy chef roll. I also want miso soup and two iced black teas." I say quickly.
"That's a lot for such a little girl" she says and then turns back to Colton.
Annoyed, I glare at her and say, "We will obviously be sharing. Can't you tell by his lack of response that he isn't interested in you, your noise is bothering us, if you can't bring our food, find someone who is capable."
She scoffs and walks away to place the order though reluctant.
"Geez I hate having to talk so much." I say with a frown.
He smiles that sinful smile, "I appreciate it, what I was going to say wasn't as polite."
Shameless, I wasn't polite.
"I hope you don't mind my ordering for us, it all looked really good, so I ordered all my favorites, but I can only eat one or two of each and usually Hayden will finish what I can't.." I say trailing off with a blush.
"I like all those too, I will be happy to finish whatever you can't." he says and for some reason I feel like I can detect a bit of doting in his voice, but I shake it off since I am his bestfriends little sister so it is only natural.
While waiting for our food, Colton's phone rings and he hands it to me immediately.
Although confused, I take it and notice that it is Hayden, "Hello brother?" I say.
"Serenity why are you with Colton and not in your room, do you know how I worried I was?" he says as I hold the phone away cause he is so loud.
"I am sorry, but I was so hungry and you were slow so Colton took me out for sushi and will bring me home after." I say and then hand the phone back to Colton who just hangs up naturally.
On the other line, Hayden's mouth is hanging open in shock thinking, 'That devil is hanging out with a girl and not just any girl, my sister!! Doesn't he hate girls, wait they hung up on me!' he thinks as he also recalls the times when girls approached his friend and he had them blacklisted or worse.
Back at the restaurant their food arrived and Serenity happily dug in without paying attention to Colton who was lovingly looking at her as she placed rolls on his plate and hers.
"Yummm this is so good!" I say happily.
"It is good, but the way you eat it makes it look better than it is." he says.
I feel like there is a hidden meaning there, but I ignore since it is so good.
Almost done with the food, and super full, I tense when Colton reaches over and wipes the corner of my mouth with his thumb and then licks his thumb clean.
This action was shocking and sexy at the same time and it feels like my cheeks just exploded in red.
"You! you could have just told me and I could have wiped it myself!" I say embarrassed.
"Okay. you had some sauce there!" he says acting innocent.
I have no words, this guy is shameless.
After eating, a different waitress brings the check over and I went to reach for my bag when I realized I didn't have it because it was in the SUV that probably burned away. Thinking about it, I frown. I loved that bag grandpa gave me.
Colton pays the bill and grabs my hand as we walk out to his car and he buckles me in again before getting in himself.
"What's wrong?" he says as he drives away.
"The backpack grandpa bought me and my wallet with my ID and cards, my phone, it was all burned with the car..." I say disappointedly.
"We can have it all replaced." he says simply as he holds one of my hands and runs his thumb in circles on my hand calming down.
I know I can have it replaced, but somehow when he says it, it doesn't seem so bad.
He pulls up the long drive way to grandpa's mansion about 15 minutes later.
I open the door and unbuckle my seatbelt.
Before I get out, I turn to face him, "Thank you." I say and quickly peck his cheek and then run out of the car and into the house as face burns.
'Did I really just do that.' I think as I close the front door and lean my back against it.
Oh man.
