"You weren't there, mother. How did you possibly know this?"

Isadora smiled at her. "I wasn't but I tried to reach you.

"Huh?" Astrid was even more confused because nothing her mother was saying was actually making sense to her. 

"It is like this." She took in a deep breath before continuing her story. "Like the first time I saw you, you were in a cave and you looked so blissful. It was obvious you were enjoying yourself. I was happy you know. I even felt odd just from watching someone please my daughter but out of curiosity I was eager to know who stole the heart of my child."

"And you saw him."

"Well, I did not see his face dear because I panicked."

Astrid's eyes dimmed at mother. If she did not see him, what made her panic? "Then what did you see mother?"
