Chapter 6: Sophomore Year
Sophomore year start out during band camp and it was really fun since I missed out on marching in the year before. We had a really good show planned for us and the music was "The Incredibles" theme. We practiced from 7/8 in the morning all the way to 6/7 at night sometimes 8. Even after band camp we still practiced every Tuesday from 5pm to 8/9pm. I knew this year was going to be fun even though I didn't get to hangout with kaitlynn that much. Unless we were not in school like weekends or small breaks. But I mainly hung out with band kids in the first half of the year. I hung out with kids named Evan,Landon,Natalie,Michael, and a lot of other people. Only two of those people actually talked to me when they seen me.
My favorite times with the band before the second half of the year was the band yard sale because Michael and another kid named Max bought a tv from the yard sale and also bought back to the future so we plugged in the tv and put in the VHS tape. So pretty much the end of the yard sale was us watching the movie. Pretty cool if I say so myself. But after the yard sale we went to a Mexican restaurant by our school and ate a bunch of tacos. It was a long day so after all of that we just went home and prepared to wake up early for jazz band early in the morning. As the days went by we got closer to our huge band trip to Disney Land. We road on a good amount of rides but I didn't like roller coasters because I had a bad experience at 6 flags. But I did like one roller coaster even though it was probably terrifying. I went on The Incredicoaster. We got the most spirited band group but I was told we always win that reward. On our way home after the 3 day trip all we wanted to do was to sleep. After some time I started hanging our with kaitlynn again and not so much with the band kids because they started to act really toxic. Not all of them just most of them. Of the weeks there were school activities and I went to almost all of them since couldn't do sports I still wanted to be part of stuff at the school.
Prom was around the corner but I was only a sophomore so I wasn't going but my band friends said they would buy my ticket so I can hangout with them. So I agreed but after I bought my dress when I was with them we went to go buy our tickets but they said wow you actually thought we were serious as if we would go with you. I think that was really the only down side of my 10th grade year. Other than that one incident and people teasing me it was an okay year. I had no clue what was coming the next year and I kinda didn't want tp get older since that means I'm closed to college. But I went to the graduation ceremony to watch my friends that I still liked graduate and then my summer would begin. My summers were all the same because I didn't travel with my family so it was me home or hanging with some friends. And soon again band camp but that's another time so I will just have to wait.
