Chapter 1: Prologue
You wake up in a hallway with both of the ends having a door. The hallway is a dark black with no diseranable features besides the two identical metalic doors. It is lit though you do not see any lights. Noticing that you are closer to one of the the doors you start towards it. It feels like an eternity, but you finally get to it. It opens without you touching it.
When you enter you find a living room adorned with the trophies of a traveler. A globe sits in the corner next to a book shelf adorned with volumes of what appears to be encyclopedias as most of the books are aranged by colour and numbered in a strange format. On the opposite wall sits a fire place still lit and burning. In front of it is a couple of rocking chairs and a side table between the two. the wall in which you entered has the metalic door and an empty bookshelf. On the mantlepeice of the fireplace resided photos of a traveler you don't know.
You hear a voice from one of the rocking chairs and see an old man looking at you. "Welcome," he says and beckons you to sit down. You do and he continues, "It has been too long since I've had a visitor to tell a story to." You ask him who is he. "I am the Storyteller, although no one remembers me. I am a traveler as you can probably tell from my fireplace." You ask him where am I. "You are behind my book shop. You have no need to worry, you can leave through the door behind you." He points to the door.
The man sits down and pours two glasses of hot tea. "Tea always goes perfectly with a good story. Wouldn't you agree?" You decide to nod your head and drink. It's chamomile you can tell, and very nice tea it is. "Would you like to hear a story?" You nod your head yes in agreement. "Then let's begin."
