Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Bad Memories
{Years Later}
"That day still haunts me," said Freddy "I still have nightmares about it."
"What day? What happened?" said Laura.
"Huh? Oh, nothing," said Freddy, "I was talking to myself."
"Your Weird," said Laura, "That's why you're my friend."
That's Laura, our moms have been friends since I was born. She's Felix's little sister. She was born a year after he died. She never had the chance to meet him. She always asks me what he was like, and if she is like him. I don't answer her half of the time, and she gets mad at me. But, I honestly can't. It's hard for me to answer sometimes.
"well, I'm going to go," Freddy said, " see you tomorrow."
"Okay, see ya!"
Since that incident happened, I was forced to move houses. My mom hoped that if we moved whatever was haunting I wouldn't be able to follow. But she was wrong, about a month after the move I started to see him.
"*Sigh* I hope tonight will be different"
"Mom, I'm home," Said Freddy
"Welcome home honey, how was your day?" asked Mrs. Sanchez.
"Alright, I guess *sigh*," Freddy said, "I just had a bad day." To be honest, "bad days" are becoming my new normal. Especially since I worry about coming home every day. As much as it kills me to say this, he's kind of scaring me.
"What happened?" asked Mrs. Sanchez.
"I just had a bad day, okay, It's nothing new." stated Freddy, "I'm going to my room." I have no idea why I said that. Making my mother mad won't help anything since she could snap me in half with her glare. If looks could kill, I would have been dead at least thirty-seven times over this week.
"Ok honey, said Mrs. Sanchez "I'll check on you in a little bit."
I always have trouble around this time. I lost my best friend 9 years ago today. Ever since then, I have felt like it was my fault, and I don't know why. Could I have prevented it? Does he think it's my fault? What do I do?
