Chapter 2: Planning to Survive
The City has been on chaos after the appearance of the dark tower and the army of goblins. Players think that goblins are lowly monsters that can easily kill.What they don't know that when a army of goblins can bring chaos to a city not even a many players can stand a army of goblins.They can outnumbered the players even if they are weak, they capable to make a plan and lure you into their traps.They have a little intelligence unlike others monsters, that's why goblins are considered dangerous when it comes to abusing and sorrounding their enemy.
Paul defeated the goblin by cutting it's head with the knife that he stole from that goblin, other goblins saw what he done and they began to attack him. Paul is no match when they are on the group as he run and somehow try to find a way that will lose them at his tail.
"Damn it!!!..I caught the attention of the goblins, no they're chasing me..I must think a away to draw their attention to others." Paul said, Paul continues to run as fast a he can even though he knew that his agility is low and can't outrun all of them.
Paul then try using one of his skill "illusion Clone" to distract the other goblins by drawing their attention to his clone. His plan is became success,The goblins followed the illusion of him but he was still followed by 5 goblins.
"Dang it!!!!, I guess I can't lose all of them". Paul think that even though it's only 5 goblins it's will be hard for him to handle all of them one by one, the worse case scenario he think is that Paul fear that the 5 goblins will gang up on him as he isn't strong enough to kill 5 of them when all of them attack him.
Paul is getting tired because he has no stamina left. He is getting slower by every minute. Paul has no choice but confront the 5 goblins. Paul get pressure that this will be do or die since he still not strong enough.
"I'm scared and feeling nervous...but I won't die in this place, I need to go home alive cause someone is waiting for me even though I'm staring at death, I will escape from it". Paul still have the knife that he stole from the goblin that he killed earlier. He will use the knife to fight the 5 goblins even though it will break anytime soon.
He use his "<Eye of Tactician Mage>" to try to find a way that can be weakness of the 5 goblins when they all of them attack as a group. The goblins are ready to attack him anytime but they are trying to get a timing on Paul as the 5 goblins getting a feeling of pressure from him.
Monsters can feel pressure from the players when the player's aura is strong enough to rival them. They gang up on Paul and attack him, Paul dodge some of the attack but get hit some of his body. The goblins manage to cut and injured Paul as he can't dodge some of the attack. He plan use his knife to hit the eyes of the goblins so they can't attack. Paul attack them and use some all his strength to cut the eyes of the 5 goblins one by one. The 5 goblins became blind after he manage to hit all their eyes and made them blind and confused. but get wounded and hit many times by the 5 goblins.
"Argh...It hurt..." Paul is tired and can't attack anymore but he use the opportunity to attack the 5 goblins now that they are blind even though he's tired, Paul use the knife to kill them,he attack and beheaded them with his knife one by one. When the knife broke in the last goblin left, he grab the goblin's head and use his last remaining strength to smash the head of the goblin until it dies.
"It's now over." Paul lost to much blood on his injuries and begin to hallucinate, he fell down on the ground and can't move his body after he take many hit from the 5 goblins.
"Haha....I can't move my body...I can still hear many people screaming and getting slaughter..I can't give up..." Paul hearing people getting slaughter by goblins and fire spreading everywhere.
"Argh..."cough".."cough".. I have to hurry go home and get...my sister before those goblins..." Paul worried that the goblins may have killed his sister. He begin to slowly stand and walk on his way home even if he isn't in condition. He walked on his way home then he realized that the street became quiet and saw many dead bodies lying on the ground. Paul continue to walk and ignore the dead bodies. He is desperate is to go home and see his sister.
Now the Goblin has taken over the city. Many died but some escape.The city has become ruin and being taken over by goblins while the players are having a hard time to fight back, so many goblins that they can't handle easily.
Walking tired and injured while hiding from the others goblins that patrolling around the city, Paul decided to lay down on a abandoned house as he rest his body and heal his wounds.
"Since this house is abandoned, I should rest my body and heal my injury. I wonder if there is a food here cause I am so...hungry" Paul said.
Paul manage to eat and found a first aid kit to heal his wounds. While recovering from his wounds, he checked his system if something change and what level he is now.
"I should check the system, Check System!!"

"'I'm lucky that I became lvl 2 and get the illusion clone skill, if I didn't get that skill, I might not escape earlier from that many goblins."

"Good thing that 4 of my abilities are double digits even though I'm only level 5...but it can't compare to the legendary or rare class, even though they are level 1, they are double digits already. Damn!!..."
Paul compare his class to others as he get jealous to those who have a legendary or rare class.
"Nevermind about that, I need to rest so that I can go to my home but...I wonder if my sister is left.." Paul fear of losing his only family and that he promise to his parents that he will take care his sister and never let her get in danger. He begins to sleep, but he still on his guard and ready to confront some goblins if they barge in the house where he rest now that he have a 2 new skill that he can useful in battle.
4 hours later while Paul is sleeping, he heard a loud sounds coming from the other room. Paul wake up and he grab a knife, he goes to that to see if a goblin barge in at the window of that room. Paul trying to stay calm, he isn't fully recovered yet that it will be hard for him to fight. Feared that if there's many goblins in there, Paul will have no choice but to his offensive skill but it's will get loud and draw a attention of all goblins around the city.
"I better be careful.." Paul is getting closer to the room. getting closer by minutes. Now that he is front of the door and when he slowly open the door, a unknown person surprise attack at him. Paul dodge all of the attack by luck. Paul realize that it's a person but he can't identify that person that attack him because of how dark it is in a middle of the night and there's no electricity.
"Who are you?" Paul question that person.
"..."
That person didn't answered, Paul think that person surprise when he open the door that's why that person suddenly attack him.
"It's fine... don't be scared..like you, I am also a survivor from the attack."
That person show her appearance, Paul appeared to be surprised that it's a woman that was his colleagues from his former work.
"Wait... I seen your face before..You're...Giselle Windriver."
"How do you....know my name?" Celeste questioned him as she grab her knife and pointed at Paul because she was surprised that a person know her name.
"I know your name... Because we work in the same department.. I'm Paul Wolfe.."
Giselle Windriver suddenly remembered him after hearing his name. Giselle relieved that she met someone that she knows and she almost thought she is only survivor left that is trap in the city that after many people has already evacuated and fled from the city. The reason that she didn't suddenly remembered him even though they always meet in their department because both of them don't have a close relationship and they only talk when it's related to work in their department.
"How did you.. survive, Paul?..." Giselle questioned him because she still doesn't trust him even though Paul is not a monster.
Paul realize it that she's doesn't trust me, so he explained all of it on how he survived and where he was before the attack happened.
"I'm was on my way to a nearest train station in the city to take a train but... A Dark Tower and goblins appeared."
"I survive because I use a system only Player have, I don't know where I got this system, even though I'm not even a player."
Paul explained and She understood the explanation of Paul then she drop her knife.
"I'm sorry that I attack you." Giselle apologize to Paul.
"It's Ok." Paul reply.
Paul ask her one question the same question that she ask him earlier. "How did you also survive?"
"We are the same...because I also got the system and I don't know where I got it either but the system is the reason I survive." Giselle answered.
"When did you get your system?"
"I just got it before the attack after I got home." Paul realize that he also got the system before the attack.
"Giselle, Can you open your system and show it at me?"
"Ok..But how I can trust you that you won't do anything." Giselle replied.
"Trust me...We have been collegeus for a year and I'm forgiven you for attacking me earlier."
"Fine..."
They both headed to the living room where Paul resting, both of them sit down in the sofa and Giselle showed her system to Paul.

Paul was surprised that she is level 10, higher than him and she has 7 skills, her strength is powerful even though she is only level 10, But Paul feel strange she is using a knife instead of bow even though she is archer but she is not using a bow even though her class is archer.
"Wait, Do you have a bow?" Paul questioned.
"No...I don't have a bow.." Giselle answered.
"Strange..."
Paul thought she might have a bow given by system like a game but he didn't expect that Giselle has bow.
"Now..Paul, show me your system, you still didn't show you system to me.." Giselle want to know Paul's system and what class is he. Paul agreed to show.

"Wow, Even though your strength and agility are not strong..Your intelligence, Magic and Luck are high and you're only level 5." Giselle is surprise that Paul is a genius and high luck, But She surprised that his Class is Tactician Mage she never heard a class like that.
"I thought you're a Mage but you're not, Paul, I never heard a Tactician Mage Class before."
"Honestly, I won't be surprised if I'm a mage but.. it's has a different name, A tactician is added..I still don't know what's a Tactician Mage Class is..." Paul Said.
"Maybe, Mage and Tactician Mage are the same or it's just bug by system." Giselle Said.
"Maybe..." Paul replied.
"Let's Team up, Paul, until we get out of the city."
Paul agreed to team up because he knows that he can't survive alone and Giselle is strong and can be a great companion. They both decided to rest but someone will have to guard while the other one rest, Paul decided to take first shift in guarding.
"I'll guard first, you should sleep, Giselle.."
Giselle is okay with it. "Okay..you take the first shift, wake me up if there's a trouble and if it's my time to guard."
"Ok.." Paul Replied and Smiled.
It 12:00 Pm in the middle of the night, While Giselle is sleeping, Paul is looking at the window if there's any goblins patrolling nearby.
Morning came, Paul didn't try to disturb Giselle, He guarded the whole night without a sleep since he's use to it anyway. Giselle woke up and find out that Paul didn't try to woke up in her guarding shift.
"Why didn't you wake me up?!!" Giselle said while she is angry a face.
"I'm used it, okay" Paul Replied.
"Fine...But don't overdo yourself."
"Ohh! Are you worried about me."
"I'm not!!.Hmph." Giselle said while blushing.
While they are packing some food before they leave the house, Paul asked Giselle something before they leave the house.
"Btw, Giselle, How did you barge in into this house while I didn't notice you?"
"I used the window in that room after I heard a voice, I thought it's a goblin so I sneak into the window of that room where I attack you." Giselle Answered.
"You though I was a goblin? Hmm I must say you're sharp.."
"Since there's no place in the world is safe since the appearance of Dark Towers so I alway get ready and I know I have a system and skills, I can fight."
"Are you planning on becoming a Player?"
Giselle answered. "Yes..Since this world has turn to a game where only survival left."
"..."
"Btw, Where will you go, Giselle?"
"To the Tunnel, I heard that there's a way in there to escape" Giselle Answered.
"Then...we might part ways."
"Why?!! Where will you go?, Don't you want to escape in this city besides there's no more people left in this city. only goblins are left."

"I need to go to my apartment and get my only family left in this world, my youngest sister, Shirley."
Paul's goal is to see his sister again as he can't lose his only family left, he feared that he will be alone in this world, if he lost his sister, he want to kept the promise by his parents that to take care his sister and never let her get in danger.
Giselle decided to come to Paul since she don't want to be alone when leaving and since she is her former collegeus. She willing to help him.
"Hugh....Fine, I will come with you since we promise that we will be a team until we get out the city and besides you'll need my help since I'm higher and more powerful than you."
"Ok..." Paul Replied.
"So.. where is your apartment?..
"It's in Tabular Street. It might be far and we might attract the attention of some goblins. So be ready.
And I'm planning to get experience from the goblins to level up...So are you with me, fighting the goblins?"
"Sure..since I also need to become even more stronger." Giselle with a smile.
"Okay, Let's go."
They both headed to Tabular Street where Paul 's apartment and get his sister. What they don't know is that an army of goblins are on their way to the Tabular Street.
