Chapter 10: Shocking News!
Over nine years, Alena had grown up to be a budding beauty. She had not chosen her talents from the talent list yet as she still wasn't sure what to pick. Amara and Aurora had received a piece of shocking news and decided to start their daughter's training earlier than expected. When she finally turned nine, her parents took her to the same place where she had been given blessings.
Alena, with a confused face asked "What are we doing here mom and dad?" When Alena was just one year old, she had learned to accept her new parents and slowly but surely the stiff 'mom and dad' gradually became less stiff and more natural for her.
"Sorry dear, I have to go. An emergency mission just came out."
"It's alright hubby, I can describe the situation to our daughter myself."
Amara then disappeared with a sudden rise of dust, leaving the daughter-mother pair alone in the forest clearing.
"Ok. Recently, we received news from a friend of your dad so we had to start training you earlier than we expected. In the mortal world, there seems to be a large group of people called 'False Immortals' but they are really weak, and their souls don't come to me and your father like they usually do when they die. Hence the name 'False Immortal'.
Alena had a sudden shock of realization and thought 'Shouldn't they be the players? No! I have to get more information about them! And the best way to do that...'
"Hey mom? How old are the so-called 'False Immortals'? And can you tell me about other interesting things in the mortal world too? All I learned about the mortal world during the past few years were about its history and how the demon king died!" Alena said with a determined pouting face with her hands curled into a fist held in front of her chest.
The best way to get information without the person in question becomes suspicious would be to mix some of the questions you want to know and some trivial questions. And of course, her being cute without her knowing it helps a lot because the person in question is her mother. Who has zero defense up against her nine-year-old daughter.
'Oh My God! She is so cute! She is so cute! She is so cute! She is so KAWAII! Does she know how destructive her expressions can be?! And to think that one day that she would have to marry! No-no-no. I must protect her innocence!'
Aurora had a blank face as she thought of all the possibilities of her daughter getting married and stuff. She had one hell of a time watching her daughter grow up and had saved a bajillion images and videos of her daughter's face, expressions, and memorable events that had happened over nine years.
"Hello? Mom? I hope you're not thinking about something inappropriate."
"Hmm? Ah! Of course not! I was only thinking about how to answer your question! Haha.." Aurora sweatdropped at how smart her daughter was.
"Huh? Ok then, anyways, please answer my questions mom!"
"Ok, so where do I start? Let's start with age first, the false immortals are all currently five years old? And one piece of interesting news I heard from my friend is that after the demon king was killed, a 'God Tower' appeared in the demon king's corpse's place. Somehow none of the beings can go in the tower. Perhaps it's related to the false immortals? Haha... But that's just my speculation! It's not like my daughter is a false immortal! Oh! And there was this one time that ..."
'Hmm, so the system actually gave me a four-year head start! How nice of it to be so biased towards one individual. Not that I'm complaining about it! I suppose the so-called 'God Tower' Is the tower all the players will have to beat to get back home huh?'
If, and only if, a player were to know her thoughts right now, they would curse the system in their hearts and then spit out blood from anger and die 'What do you mean biased towards one individual?!! You are clearly the daughter of the system! Three blessings from goddesses, daughter of a major God and Goddess, and a headstart of FOUR YEARS?! IT'S FOUR YEARS, NOT FOUR MONTHS! And you are talking about it like it's nothing major! Puuuuuf-argh!!'
After rambling on for another ten minutes, Aurora finally calmed down and started to talk about her training. One can see that she was especially serious when she briefed through the training regime to her daughter.
"First of all, do you know the reason why I am training you?" Aurora had cold eyes and an arrogant posture, nothing like the soft and caring face she usually had for her daughter.
'Sorry honey! This is for your own good! Even if you hate me and your father from now on we will still have to continue with the plan!'
Surprised at the sudden change of mood, Alena replied absentmindedly "Ah! Uhm, I don't know mom.."
Aurora frowned in response to her answer. "Looks like I have to teach you some common sense in this world."
"First of all, anywhere you go, strength is needed if you want to protect yourself. In this world where monsters run amok and the strong is revered, without strength, all you will be is a fat lamb waiting to be slaughtered!"
"And I'm going to make sure you have sufficient strength in order for me to let you go down to the mortal world to investigate a so-called 'God Tower'! So I'm going to teach you as many things as I can within six years!"
"So! First I'm going to teach you how to utilize your..."
Aurora said her sentences so concentratedly that she didn't notice the confusion and doubt in her daughter's eyes staring at her until her sentence got cut off.
"Hey mom? Are you keeping something from me? Why do I have to investigate the so-called 'God Tower' If I can't even get in the tower?"
Aurora froze at the sentence. Her cold expression turned into a slightly nervous expression as she replied in an almost inaudible voice. "Uh... I'm sorry, please don't get angry at your parents if I tell you okay? I'm really really really sorry!"
Alena was extremely confused at the moment and started speculating. 'What are you even sorry for? I'm guessing that unless you found out that false Immortals can get into the God Tower and realized that I am one too, there would be no reason... that you... would... Ah. Oh no...'
Just as Alena finished her thoughts an unexpected sentence broke through her thinking and wriggled itself into her brain, as she started processing what she had just heard.
"I'm sorry that I accidentally killed you when you were just a baby!"
Her brain went full overdrive mode and started overheating. 'What the actually F*CK?'
With a blank face and dead fish eyes, she absentmindedly said a sentence like it was normal. "Oh, ok."
With a flustered appearance, Alena's mother tried repairing the relationship between them, or at least what was left of it.
"Ah! Ah! Ah! I'm really sorry! I didn't do it on purpose! When you were still young, like around six months old, I tried opening your meridians so that you could start cultivating faster and your dad came into the room and then I was flustered and accidentally broke one of your meridians and then I tried mending it but then you died and your dad was like 'OH SH*TTT!!' AND WE WERE LIKE PANIKING PANMIKENG, AH!! I MEAN PANICKING! And we Accidentally blew you up! And after a while your soul was like floating around and then we tried capturing your soul so that we could creating a new body for you but it refused to do so and after like a day we were ready to give up but miraculously a body started materializing in front of us and your soul just took ova, pfft! I mean over the body! And then we wiped your memories of that day and that's how we found out you were a false immortal! Please don't hate us!"
Whilst waving her arms around and trying to explain what had happened ten years ago, Alena received a new wave of information and officially had her brains fried.
Now with her Blank face and dead fish eyes, along with a stream of foam dripping from her mouth she replied like a man about to die, "Ah."
After finishing what she wanted to say, she vomited one and a half liters of blood directly fainted and fell like a doll with her strings cut onto the soft grass. With her finishing thoughts being 'HOLY SH*T WHAT KIND OF PARENTS ARE THEY?!'
Aurora, hearing what her daughter had to say and her reaction to it, she directly screamed and started crying waterfalls whilst hugging her daughter by the head.
"AHH, NUUUUUU!!! I'M SORRY! WE DIDN'D DO IT ON PURPOSE!!!"
Amara, who just arrived at the scene, saw the crying mother and the foaming daughter, sweatdropped at the thought of her daughter know that it was his fault that she had died, and the thought of himself suffering the wrath of both mother and daughter.
"Ah. Great. I hope I don't get killed. Let's just hope that she forgives us." Amara said with a smile while sweat started falling down his forehead, but he is not actually smiling because he's happy if you know what I mean.

Notes (World Background Change)
The world has Dungeons popping up where mana is dense, hunter association added, monsters added, getting to the 'God Tower' will be difficult, as strong monsters block the roads to it.
NPCs and Gods and Goddesses can get their 'Rank' Promoted by breaking through their supposed rank cap. For example, D-Rank Hunter has 400-800 normal stats, if they want to become a C-Rank Hunter, they have to have at least one normal stat at 801.
If NPCs or Gods or Goddesses Rank Up, then they will get a chance to 'reroll' their talent, getting a higher tier talent may or may not be good for the NPC or Gods or Goddess in question. For example, an A-Rank warrior has a Mid-tier talent 'Superstrength' and chooses to reroll their talent, they might get a High-tier talent 'Genius-Level Mana Affinity' which will be quite useless to the warrior, unless they change their job to a mage or similar.
Getting two talents or more is possible, it depends on their rank percentage, for example, an A-Ranked NPC named Bob rerolled their talent, they have a 50% chance to get no talent, 25% chance to a Low-Tier talent, 20%chance to get a Mid-Tier talent, 5% to get a High-Tier talent. If they roll on a 'no talent' they will not receive any talent, and the previous talent is wiped, if they receive a low-tier talent, the percent of getting another talent below or equal to mid-tier will be set to 5 percent, if they got another low-tier talent, the reroll ends, if they get a mid-tier talent, then the percent of getting a talent below or equal to high-tier will be set to one percent. And if they get the talent, then wow I commend your luck. If they don't? "I never expected you to get a third talent anyways"
People with higher 'player rank' can see other people's statuses whose 'player rank' is lower than them. The same applies to Gods and Goddesses and NPCs, but with a different ranking system. NPCs and Gods and Goddesses will also have a system, although they can only use the system when wearing a magic device(necklace(Uniqu, SB), ring(Unique, SB), bracelet(Unique, SB)) that records their exact strength, rank, etc. They also can't interact with their status, but the players can(EXAMPLE: Adding stat points)
