Chapter 6: Ch.6: Curiosity
"Emberlynn"
I silently walk through the maze of snow-covered trees, keeping my wings tight against my body. I search for a hidden den or cave but trying to be alert for anything unusual in a forest. I stop suddenly, did I hear something, was it a voice? No, voices, two of them. I try to locate them by moving my head side to side slowly. Right, towards the abandoned trail I walk across the pond on the other side. My body shivers with apprehension, should I see why they're here? Or… leave for my safety? I argue with myself until I finally make a decision and carefully move along the trees towards the voices.
I get closer to them and start understanding what they say, I start walking parallel with them.
"What is the surprise? Please tell me, I'll do anything! Please, please, please, PLEASE!" an excited voice says loudly, I can make out that it was a young female.
"You'll see when we get there. You know, you're funny when you want something." A male voice says now with a quiet chuckle, he sounds familiar
"Hey! What if dad will tell me?" the girl says as I see two figures, the girl has long, dark brown hair, and a fluffy, blue jacket with a dark blue thing on her head. The man has short hair covered with snowflakes and a black jacket.
I shudder at the thought of these people searching for me. What they'll do to me. I don't know if they even are searching for me, what if they are just people on a walk through the forest. So I continue to walk a few yards behind them.
