What was she thinking last night? How is she supposed to face Gideon now?

She walks and follows the smell. And the smell led her to kitchen where Gideon is cooking shirtless.
"M- morning... Sleep well?"
Even in an apron, he looks like he just walked out of an A&F commercial.
"Look, I'm really sorry about last night. It was a mistake, and I assure you, it'll never happen again. I made you breakfast as an apology.
Yes, a mistake. That's all it was.
"A-are those pancakes? "
He nods and says" You hated chocolate donuts so I figured, maybe she's an pancakes person instead? "
" I don't hate donuts. B-but you really cook these pancakes on your own?"
" I even got you strawberries and cream on the side. I'm not a manwh*re for nothing. Of course I'd know my ways to a ladies heart. "
But expect hers, but this thing seems to be working.
"Got your heart fluttering, right? I tend to do that."
Eye rolls as she realises he's defiy back to his old, annoying self.
CARA'S POV
He's really acting as if nothing happened last night. Yeah, I guess that would be for the best too.

They both start eating. As Gideon sees Cara eating his pancakes it made his heart flutter.
"So I was thinking, we could head out to the sea for your swim lesson today."
" We're still doing that ?!"
" I promised to teach you to swim l, and I intend to uphold my end of the deal. Besides, it's a free pass to know more about you. "
" I-it was a mistake on my part. You don't have to do this. "
" But I want to. "
Now she gets angry.
" There's no way I'm going into the sea. Yesterday's campfire was my threshold! "
" I have my way."
" I'd like to see you try."
And he brought her out of the house.
" How the heck did you get me out of the house?!?! "
" Come on, the beach is that way! "
" Oh what a beautiful couple! " an old lady compliments them.
" Your lovely lady would look like a queen if you get her one of these flower crowns. "
" No thank you. "
But Gideon didn't listen and he buys her a flower crown. And wears it on her head.
"She does looked crowned!" and walks to the beach.
" The waters fine. Any second now? You've made it this far. Just try dipping your feet into the water? We're not leaving until I see those feet wet."
" C-can I hold your hand? "
Did she just say that out loud?
" Can we pretend that I didn't say that and just go? We have to leave Tomorrow and I still have to pack. "
" Take it. " he says taking her hand on his.
" Gideon. "
" Cara. "
"I don't like you."
"I just gave my hand, Cara. That hurts."
"Come on." he says pulling her into the water.
CARA'S POV
" Ooof!" i grunted myself as I found swung onto a muscular back. Instinctively, I wrapped my legs around his waist and placed my hands on top of his broad shoulders for support. I could hear the defending splashes, as Gideon trudged through the water, along the coastline. I braced myself for the reflux reaction that normally follows. But it's different this time. Gideon was giving me a piggyback ride along the beach.
"The ocean seems less scary now? huh! Told you I'd have my way of getting you into the water." he asks.
Is Gideon really carrying me on his back? Because he knows I'm afraid of water?
"Technically, I'm dry." I say teasing him.
" Someone's feeling cheeky, huh! If you like I can put you down now-"
" No! "
I bit down hard on my lips as I feel a betraying smile escape. The blushing Rosy cheeks were embarrassing enough. It didn't help that he had on a. nonchalant look whenever I still glances from him. As if this was the most natural thing for him to do. Between the wary of out bodies pressed against each other, the earthy scent that was uniquely his, and the strong grips he had on my thighs, I felt safe. As we approached the water, the endless horizon didn't seem as this scary time. Not when I'm safe on his back. We stood looking out into the horizon in silence. But the sounds of waves lapping against the shore had nothing on the palpitation of my quaking heart. I never thought that I would step foot into an ocean again. Not after that incident. But if I had to?
I wouldn't mind having him by my side.
"Only beautiful memories from now on!"

After getting freshed up. She decides to wear a black floral dress. She looks at the flower crown which Gideon gave her from the old woman.
She can't decide whether to wear or not. But she wears it and walks towards Gideon.
"Let's go." she says.
He laughs as he sees her wearing that crown.
"I'm only wearing this silly crown because you bought it and it would go to a waste once we head back."
He comes closer to her.
They both are now standing only a inches apart.
CARA'S POV
With a silly grin on his face, Gideon closed the distance between us in one stride.
He reached out for the flowers in my hair, gingerly adjusting to his liking. Tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear. Gideon beamed triumphantly as he held my gaze.
"Perfect." he says.
At the restaurant.
Cara is on her phone. She sees a dark brunette girl coming towards her way.
"It is you! Hey, I'm Amelia!" she speaks.
Cara examines her.
" Right, where are my manners? Calvin Klein, Armani, Gucci...? Ring a bell?"
" You're a model! " now she understands.
She giggles.
" Can I help you? " Cara asks her.
"Oh, it's nothing! I just saw Gideon outside and.... some memories of this place came back to me. We used to sneak here all the time to avoid the paparazzi. Of course, we spent little time outside the house so I'm back to see how the beach actually looks like."
Now, again she giggled.
" And now he's bringing his fiancee here. He even got you the flower crown he bought to me! "
After hearing that thing she pulls of the crown and throws it away.
But still she is giggling.
"You're funny! I get that I'm being a little too direct here, buy surely you're used to it. This is Hollywood.... and well he is Gideon...!"
She gets up to leave and now Cara is relaxed.
" I'm sure you knew what you were getting yourself into when you got engaged to him. Nice meeting you. Ciao." she blows a kiss and lefts, which made Cara even more angry.
Shit! This is it! I'm turning into one of his bimbos! she thinks that. He knows his way to a girl's heart and I'm actually falling for it!
He comes back.
"Who was that? She looked kind of familiar but I don't remember from where...?"
Cara gets up and leaves but before leaving she says that she is not hungry anymore.
At the beach house. Until Cara reached home rain starts pouring.
"What's going on?" Gideon asks Cara.
"How did we go from a perfect afternoon to this?"
" It's nothing. " she says turns to enter home.
" This is your problem! You never talk about what's bothering you?"
Now both of them are angry. It's getting tough in there.
"My problem? At least I am not the one who brings girls around the world to have rendezvous!"
He is shocked to heat this from her.
" Wait! Are you jealous?" he says.
" No! that's not I'm saying! What I'm saying is, I hate how you are waltzing into my life like it's the most natural thing for you to do! I hate how you are always so cocky, and talking me into facing my fear like you're genuinely concerned about it! And you know what the worst part is? I hate that I'm actually falling for them! I see through people like you! And I refuse to be some play toy for you to conquer! I don't need you in my life! I've never needed anyone and nobody needed me either! So will you stop riling up like that? So stop being nice to me! stop making me feel....things! We're just pretending to like each other!"
" Are you done?" he asks her. And he kisses her.
" No! No! All this kissing need to be stopped too! We agreed there wouldn't be any of this!"
" Let's date. Go out with me."
