The next thing Cara see again was she was cuddled up with Gideon. But this time she pushes Gideon out of the bed. And he fell down from the bed.
"I s-slept with Gideon Clemonte."
"Yeah, we slept, as in we were like two pieces of log that lay beside each other. "
" You had your arm around me again! "
" Logs that may have cuddled a bit.... Hey! you took my cuddle too. You don't see me kicking you off my bed. " he gets up and comes again and sleeps on the bed.
"What are you doing now again?"
"Your fiance is not a morning person, my love. Smith hasn't come to wake me up, so it's still bedtime. Are you going to join me or-" before he could say anything she runs away.
"Has this bed always felt this cold and empty? "
CARA'S POV
Darius has a morning routine- Smith would wake him up with a phone call and he would head straight to his personal gym. He the. gulps down his cup of coffee, as they go through his schedule of the day.
I always knew he was capable; he has been CEO of Clemonte since his father stepped down. But I didn't expect him to take this work seriously.
As I was eating my donut it reminded me of my father. When I was eating my donut while my father shouting to someone on the phone.
I've always wandered what it's like at the breakfast table of other households. Is it always supposed to be this quiet?
It seems a far cry from those you see on television. Where are the stacks of fluffy pancakes? Why isn't there anyone fighting with me over them? Nobody seems to care if I slept well. I guess it's the same everywhere.

" I don't know what's going on in her head. " Gideon emotionally says to Smith.

GIDEON'S POV
This. This is what confuses me. She's a spitfire sometimes, but when she lefts her guard down, she feels broken. Just like the first time I found her.

Cara gets a message from Gideon.
"Mum's having a private engagement party with close family and friends tonight. Pick you up at 6?"
What are we? The Gatsby's? It's always dinners and parties with Rich. Like this thoughts keep running CARA'S mind.
She replys her with a simple OK.
"What is it? What's got your panties scrunched this time? " Smith asks Gideon.
"Of all the 26 alphabets in the English language, she had to choose the most two dreaded. "

Gideon again gets a text again from Cara.

He did just save me from the pool. Just an ok sounds too cold. Cara might think it's too cold for him.
F*ck. It's just a smiley. Why does he feel like he won the world? He needs to get laid.
Smith comes to pick Cara from the agency.
Hey Smith she waves at him. Where is Gideon? she asks him.
"ER....he was held up at work." he replies him without looking into her eyes.
By work do you mean he is banging his intern..... she says rolling her eyes.
Smith gets shocked while hearing CARA'S word.
"How did you know?" he asks him.
He is a manwh*re for nothing. I wouldn't be surprised.
He laughs at CARA'S reply.
After a short drive.
"I'm going to have you stop you right there and surprise you. He really is stuck at work. The last I left him, he was in a conference room full of old grey-haired men, I don't think there's going to be much action there. "
" Oh... Then why did you....? " before she completes it " And miss the chance to hear you call my boss a manwh*re? " he again laughs and Cara gets irritated.
"Give Gideon a little bit credit, Cara. He wouldn't stoop that low." Smith requests Cara.
After she enter Clemonte mansion.
She straight away went to meet Maisha means Mrs. Clemonte.
"You're a Clemonte now, child. If you're marrying into our family, you got to dress the bit." Maisha tells Cara.
And she has got to dress into her age. As she is wearing a short v-lined velvet dress. Which is of course of not her age.
She gives Cara three dress option which she can try on.
Out of all those three, she wears a shiny sparkle mermaid dress.
After entering the party she again stands all alone in the corner by the staircase.
It's seems to be some kind of private party, there are A- list celebrities here! She can't believe she is going to say this but Where's Gideon?
Then another bimbo comes.
"So you're GIDEON'S fiance huh?"
"I'm going to stop you right there, gorgeous blonde in bodycon dress who knows she looks every bit like his fiance over Mee. If you're here to try to make me feel bad about myself, I already feel shitty enough. Whatever you say or do, it's not going to work Find some another girl to terrorise.
"It's you!" he comes again.
"It's the little boy ghost! Please leave me alone!"
"I'm not a ghost!"
She again bends down to match the little ghost's height.
"Then how do you explain your sudden appearance and disappearance? What's a little boy like you doing around the Clemonte's mansion again?"
" My mum's working here as a stay-in help here. As I told you I live here."
" Of course a mansion as big this would have stay-in help."
" So you're really married ? To Gideon?"
"Yes!"
" But you don't seem to be happy. You're still hiding in the dark corners."
" I think we went through this, marriage means nothing. Besides, speak for yourself kid. You're always lurking around this corner too. Is something wrong , are they ill- treating you ?"
The little boy blushes a bit.
"I like you, you're the only other adult, who would bend down to talk to me."
Then the same bimbo comes.
"There you are!"
"Can I help you ?" she genuinely asks her.
"What do you mean by, terrorise back there! I don't like how you're making me out to be the bad guy! I barely spoke to you."
" Let's just not get physical, we have a child around here." she looks in the boys direction and he disappeared again.
"I knew he was a ghost!"
"Are you even listening to me." and she pushes Cara into the pool.
" It's just a shallow pool." she shouts at her.
" No-no, h-help help."
And again Gideon comes and saves her from the pool.
"Are you alright?"
Flashback.....
"Are you alright?" he asks the same question to the drowning girl (Cara)
"Gideon what's going in there" someone shouts at Gideon.
" I dived in and saved her, but she is barely breathing!"
" I've alerted the coastguards about it. You cannot be right here. Do not make a scene right now." someone again shouts at him.
" she's dying!" he shouts at him.
"You know who else would be as good as dead if they knew you're here. Someone is coming to save her. You have to leave right now.
... End....
" I need to stop you finding in bodies of water, Cara! You're no Ariel and I'm no Eric--"
Suddenly Cara collapses in front of Gideon. She is again barely breathing.
At the next morning....
Cara is sleeping on the bed peacefully and Gideon is sleeping down the bed besides Cara. He is kind of sleeping on the floor.
Cara wakes up as the sun shines on her peaceful face.
"What happened last night? Why am I again in Gideon's bedroom? She thinks.
"Are you awake? Finally awake ?" Gideon is awake as he sees the bedsheet moving down his hands.
He stands up and yawns in front of Cara.
"You were thrashing and screaming throughout your sleep. I couldn't even sleep on the couch because I was afraid to leave you alone." he gets up and again comes and sleeps on the bed calmly.
"Not running away this time?" he asks Cara.
" W-what happened last night?" she replies.
FLASHBACK....
" Party is off" Gideon declares. Everyone is shocked as this party was arranged by his parents for him and Cara.
" Cara isn't feeling well so I'm sending her home."
His father is angry and mother shouts " Give her some Panadol or something! Everyone is. gathered here to celebrate your engagement! We can't just tell them to leave ! Where's Cara?" she asks.
" Already in my car." he simply answer's her.
" What do you think you're doing?" she grudges him.
" You guys wanted me to get married to show I'm matured enough to run Clemonte. I'm being responsible for my fiancee." he lefts the whole party, leaving behind his angry parents.
END...
Cara is shocked to hear the whole thing as Gideon tells her the whole thing.
"I- I'm so sorry that you have to cancel the whole party because of me. I'm sorry." she cry's.
" For someone who's afraid of water, you seem to be around it a lot." he groan's.
" Y-you..... know?.."
Gideon gives her a look which says I am not quite understanding.
"Thank you. For saving me back at Lifestyle and last night. I owe you. Twice. Aren't you going to ask me about it?"
" Everyone has their demons, Cara.I don't want to breaking the covenant of silence you made with it." he whispers in his ears.
" Besides- I'm your fiancee now. We're stuck with each other. We have our whole lives ahead of us for you to tell me about it." he winks and laughs at her. And Cara gives a annoying expression.
"Swim....." she whispers something.
"Can you teach me how to swim?" she asks him.
