1 Year Later
More than a year passed since the family arrived at Centoria. John was quite a good teacher while Nesiara mostly visited him in the Academy with the children making some students see Yui who was now near her teens.
Some tried to approach her but John as the father he is was shutting everyone down quite fast before she could be approached by the boys.
Yui made some friends with some of the female students as she was quite good at fighting with a sword as well as spear because her parents taught her as an alternative when she can't transform into a Digimon she would still have a way to defend herself.
John was teaching students in their way of fighting as everyone had their own way of fighting giving pointers in which way they should improve and what they should completely forget since it would only be in their way of fighting.
Nesiara picked some of the female students' interest when she sparred with John once in the while making many of them become interested in fighting with a spear instead of swords.
Nora and Kieron now could walk normally and Nora even moved Excalibur with her little hands as she pressed herself against it.
Kieron, on the other hand, didn't learn as he was known as the terror of the Academy once he was around the people hide their weapon. All the people began to walk with wood swords around the Academy when Kieron was around.
Both were too intelligent for their age but sometimes they comported their age when Nesiara took them out to buy since no child could say no to candy when offered to them by the stalls around the city making Nesiara buy them candy once in a while.
"Fang anything new on Kirito and Eugeo?" asks John as he was curious and worried if they will make it to Centoria.
"The tournament in Zakkaria hasn't started yet so we don't know if they will come or if they failed for now," says Fang as he was sitting across him.
"I really hope they are alright. Not everything goes as written down in those books. *sighs* But for now I have to worry more about Yui and the boys around her," says John as he wasn't hiding Yamato any longer but had him ready to use at any second someone tries something funny.
Most were afraid of John's overprotectiveness as he would look sometimes at some boys making them back away. The girls like to see such a protective father since Yui was still quite innocent in some areas.
But when John wasn't around Dino and Inu would take care of the matter as Dino and Inu could transform into their respective Mega-level making them back away out of fear of being eaten or worse.
"Why not go to Zakkaria and see for yourself if they are alright. Take the family out for a while. I will give you Sortiliena and Volo so they can learn a bit from you while they travel with you," says Fang as he could see that his master was quite nervous about this.
"Well, you take care of my class then. I will inform Nesiara right away about this," says John as he stands up holding Yamato and was about to leave the room when he asks, "When is the tournament again?"
"28th of this month so you have a week to get there. But you should only take two maybe three days to arrive. So you can stay for some time there," says Fang as John then leaves the room.
He walks out of the building finding Yui talking with some of the students when John says, "You having a fun day."
"As always, why are you leaving this early did something happen?" asks Yui worried since John normally would normally leave quite late.
John pets her head while saying, "Nothing happened but we will be leaving tomorrow to meet some friends in Zakkaria."
"Dad really," says Yui embarrassed by John petting her.
"You will always be my daughter," says John as he stops and leaves Yui with her friends.
He returns home where he finds Nesiara teaching the twins how to speak clearly when he says, "How are they doing?"
"They are fine. But why are you at home did you kill a student and we need to leave," says Nesiara as she smiles because she found it quite possible but knew that John wouldn't leave evidence leading to him.
"Very funny," says John as he smiles back and kisses her and he then continues, "We are going to visit Zakkaria to observe the tournament that will be happening there."
"Zakkaria, that's in the North right. I remember Fang once saying that Zakkaria was near Rulid," says Nesiara as she counted one and one together and smiles while saying, "Someone is worried that our friends are in trouble."
"Yes," says John not denying it.
"Alright, it would do the children well to see more than just Centoria," says Nesiara as she agreed to it when they looked at the twins who were playing with ki balls again.
"We will be training them soon it seems," says John seeing them.
"It seems so but they should be able to survive it. Yui will also be stuck with us. She will be a woman when we leave the chamber," says Nesiara with excitement to see her daughter as an adult.
"Why am I the only one that is worried about that," says John as Nesiara hugs him around his neck.
"That's because you are protective of your princess. I heard the story about Jack at Alura's wedding. He intimidated the groom and his family that if something were to happen to her he would turn every stone in the universe to find them," says Nesiara remembering the story that Felicia told her.
"I will most likely do the same. But Jack wasn't the only one in the family to do that. Arthur and James did the same when my cousins married into another family. You should have seen the poor grooms there. Alura's husband came from a superhero background while my cousin's grooms came from normal families," says John as he remembered those days quite clearly because Felicia was the one putting them in place even without having Kryptonite.
"It seems another one will follow the Parker legacy of intimidating the groom," says Nesiara funny as John looks into her eyes.
"I might. I love our daughter so much that I would kill her husband if I would find out that he is raising his hand against her," says John as Nesiara calmed him down.
"Before you knew it he would be already bleeding out don't worry, aren't I right," says Nesiara as she turns to the twins as Nora agreed to it while Kieron was bumping his fists against each other.
John picks them up while smiling and says, "But you will need to grow a bit more so you can teach him a lesson."
Kieron was pumped up now as Nora nods with her head. John hugs both as they try to do the same while Nesiara goes to the bedroom and prepares the things they will need.
John follows her as he puts the twins down and says, "Volo and Sortiliena will be accompanying us to Zakkaria."
"It was Fang's idea right," says Nesiara knowing that John wouldn't have taken those two with them.
"Yes, he wanted us to take them with us since it could be a good training for them," says John as Nesiara nods.
"Well, can't argue that since it's the truth. But we will have to be careful once they travel with us. Sortiliena knows us from the last travel but Volo or whatever his name is another variable we can't control," says Nesiara as she was worried that he would play the hero when not needed.
"*sighs* We should be alright even with Volo following us. He is just there to learn from us like Sortiliena before him," says John as Nora walked into the room holding the wooden sword that John made for her with Kieron holding a wooden staff.
"Now you are still too young to play the hero," says Nesiara as she puts them on the bed while petting their heads.
Kieron and Nora made a face of disappointment because of the words their mother said to them.
John smiled as he could see the face both Kieron and Nora were making and says, "We are just worried about you two. Once you are ten we can talk about playing a hero."
That made both faces brighten up in excitement as sparkles were in their eyes.
This made Nesiara almost giggle from seeing the faces of their children. They packed lightly for the journey when someone knocked on their door.
John opens it and sees a young man with really short hair and blue eyes. His face almost screamed determination when John asks, "Volo, what are you doing here?"
"I was nervous about tomorrow so I wanted to talk about it," says Volo as John lets him enter and they walk over to the table to sit around it.
Volo was still not comfortable around John. It was not because of him being a normal person but because of the high difference. He saw how John defeated his opponent the first day and had a feeling that he was staring at a monster and not a human.
"You are still nervous around me it seems," says John as Volo nods.
"Yes, I think it would have been better you take Golgorosso instead of me. I would become a border to you and your family," says Volo as John looked at him seriously.
"I don't think so. It would be a good training for you and you must overcome that feeling you are feeling right now. Sooner or later you will meet people that will have the same aura as me and you will have to fight alongside them. You will become a border for them not for me. So you will be leaving with us tomorrow morning," says John as he puts his hand on Volo's shoulder.
"You will see on the trip from here to Zakkaria and back you will lose that feeling," says John as he helped Volo out of the house.
John then returned to the bedroom only to find Nesiara already finished with packing up.
