Chapter 30: Getting the First Soul
Two weeks pass since Urahara was now taking care of Jinx and Fang since their owners still haven't returned making Urahara worry since Yoruichi was with them as he looks at both pets and says, "I hope your owners return to get you or I will have to use you as an attraction so you can pay your rent."
In the meantime in Paradise, Yoruichi and Nesiara were still outside training the Kaioken while John was in the library to bring the books back. Nesiara and John true to Urahara's words that they were sponges learning the Kaioken fast as well as some of the Advanced Ki Techniques.
John was walking through the library when he was putting the book back with Justice's help when Justice says, "You should go into the Forbidden Section."
"And why should I?" asks John wanting to know why Justice said it.
"At least one of you two should know what originally should happen in this world so you know what is ahead of both of you. Logan always researched the worlds he traveled to. Even if he knew them but he could have forgotten one or two things by being stuck in a world for almost over 20 years not counting the years he was in the time chamber training," says Justice as he picked John's interest with the history of what normally should happen.
"Alright show the way," says John as he followed Justice into the Forbidden Section as they arrive in front of many books as stopped in front of a book saying Katekyo Hitman Reborn he takes it out and reads it making him realize this was about the world he was on without him and Nesiara as he asks, "So they would have succeeded without us?"
"I don't think so. What you are reading is a manga not reality," says Justice as he floats over and says, "In a manga the Hero almost always wins after suffering a loss. In reality that doesn't happen that often. You saw how Yamamoto lost to Squalo. Turn to page 67."
John does so and finds out that Yamamoto would have won the fight and Squalo would cut his own hand off as he says, "So a manga and reality aren't the same."
"It mostly is so. Only some mangas are near the reality. Like Naruto and One Piece. It because in the Naruto world kids get trained from a young age to become Ninja's while in One Piece some people get trained to become Marines or go on a different path. There is also the world Logan was first Dragon Age World. He was on Thedas and almost everyone there knew how to swing a sword. Not like a master but enough to protect themselves and their land," says Justice explaining John the truth about fiction and reality when he says, "Everything written in here is only a fiction of the perfect world that was written by the author. But reality can be quite cruel. You should just see it as a guide not as what will happen but can happen."
John puts the book away and walks over to where Justice was as he takes the Bleach book out and begins to read it and says, "We still haven't met this Ichigo Kurosaki. But if what the book says is true he will be trained by Urahara soon."
"You should just remember to have the big picture in mind," says Justice as John reads the book and finds out he could kill that Kugo Ginjo but Ichigo might not regain his Reiryoko since the Soul Society won't see him relevant with Nesiara and him around.
"This is a big responsibility. One wrong move and Ichigo could never become a Shinigami or never regain his Shinigami's powers," says John as he suddenly realizes something and says, "Wait, now I know why you said to take it as a guide."
"You really are intelligent. I really like you," says Justice as he nods and says, "That's right in every book you two never exist so of course there will be some changes once you enter the field."
"And that Ichigo won't lose his power fighting that Aizen since I or Mina will fight him," says John as he sees Justice nod.
"Exactly," says Justice happy that his owner wasn't a battle crazy person that looks for strong people to fight like his previous owner.
"Good to know. But I should let Aizen survive Soul Society so he recruits the Espadas to attack the Human World to start his war against Soul Society," says John as closed the book as he also read how Yhwach would be an enemy but Logan/Alfred already killed him.
John then puts the book away and says, "I and Nesiara might appear to help him against this Menos Grande. If what you said is true then both he and Ishida won't be able to fight together against that Menos Grande. We might draw that Rukia's attention on us but it's better than to wait until he comes here to train."
"So you already have something in mind," says Justice as John only nods as he was more worried about what Nesiara will do.
He puts the book back and asks, "Is every book here one world we could travel to?"
"It is," says Justices as John was now walking away while he says, "*sighs* Why is it so much work. I just hope nothing serious happens when we visit one of those worlds."
John leaves the Library to join the other two as Yoruichi was surrounded by a transparent red aura as she was sparring with Nesiara who also was surrounded by said aura.
"We should maybe return or Urahara will be worried that we take to long," says John as the other two stopped their sparring and the aura dissolved as they looked at John.
"Is it already time?" asks Nesiara as John nods and both Nesiara and Yoruichi sigh.
Justice then sends them back and they appear in the training ground under Urahara's Shop. They walk up and find Fang and Jinx guarding over the entrance as Urahara was lying over the counter relaxing because Nesiara and John weren't there.
"So you really like a calm life," says John seeing Urahara who stands straight after hearing John.
"You three are back. How was the time I wasn't around?" asks Urahara as he was stressed once again.
"It was nice. I learned a trick or two," says Yoruichi excited to show it to Urahara.
John, on the other hand, was feeling that it has already begun and says, "It seems a Shinigami is in the city."
"Yes, but she lost her power by awakening the son of an acquaintance of mine. You missed a lot if this is what you were waiting for," says Urahara as he lent her a body to use while being here.
"Our job is just to collect souls and I will begin with taking Kugo Ginjo's soul since he is in this town," says John as he walked over to Fang who jumped onto his shoulder.
"Wait for me," says Nesiara as she followed John while Jinx flew over to sit on her shoulder.
"Shouldn't we stop them?" asks Urahara as he looked at Yoruichi who shakes her head.
"They should be able to take care of this problem," says Yoruichi calmly as she believes that they would return as if nothing happened.
John and Nesiara were walking the street down when Nesiara asks, "So how do you know where to find that Kugo Ginjo?"
"I read a book in the forbidden section when I returned the other books. But we should make haste since that boy Urahara mentioned might need our help," says John as he disappears from the people sight as Nesiara sighs and follows.
Both arrive in front of a rundown building that looked like it needed some construction and Nesiara's eyes turned cold as she says, "There are seven people on the third floor. Do we kill them all?"
"Only the ones that are Souls. The humans should be kept alive if they aren't too much of a hassle," says John as he enters the building.
Nesiara follows him inside once in front of the door before the room the seven people were in Fang and Jinx jump down from their masters as John was surrounded by his armor as well as Nesiara as John takes Yamato in his hand and asks, "You ready?"
"Born ready," says Nesiara as she was holding Queen. John then breaks the door in the people inside were unprepared of what was going on and couldn't even react as Nesiara and John rushed in followed by a giant White Tiger and a Phoenix as they overrun them as John just swings his blade making the bartender a head shorter while he kept rushing towards a man that was sitting on a seat having enough time to get a sword ready to block only to find out that Yamato didn't care as it cut through the sword and the man holding it as the man was in disbelief of how his sword was cut.
Nesiara was taking care of two women easily not killing them as he rushed to her next target that was a tall man with brown eyes and shoulder-length black hair. He blocked Nesiara's spear with his sword until he found out his mistake when his two-handed broadsword was beginning to melt under the heat Queen was giving off before he had the spear tip in front of his face and was about to get roasted as Nesiara wanted to use the flamethrower that Jack installed when John says, "Don't kill him yet."
"That's unfair you got to kill those two while Fang and Jinx took the two boys out," says Nesiara as John puts his hand on her shoulder before knocking Kugo out.
"We still need him," says John as he walked over to the other people that were alive and restricted them so they couldn't run away before petting Fang saying, "Good job."
Jinx flew over to Nesiara's side waiting for her pet when Nesiara does the same making her happy. Then they made Kugo sit alone on a chair while Nesiara put the other four in an illusion so they couldn't interfere with what John had in mind.
The four were awake after a while. They looked around and saw Kugo that was sitting on a chair unconsciously. They wanted to move but couldn't as they found themselves immobilized.
Kugo was slowly waking up. He saw an illusion with all member dead all over their clubhouse when John says, "Kugo Ginjo, Former Substitute Shinigami, did you think we didn't know what you were about to do."
"I don't know what you are talking about," says Kugo as John takes a knife he found in the clubhouse.
He stabs Kugo in the leg and says, "This could be over if you just admit that you wanted to use your little organization to build your power after robbing them of it when they were in their Prime. They can be happy to be dead and not to find out about your plan. How many have you already killed by now? 10 maybe 20 people."
"I don't know what you are talking about," says Kugo still keeping his facade when John takes the knife out of Kugo's leg and puts it against his neck.
"Then the only way for you is death. Once dead the Onmitsukido will take care of you most likely once you return to Soul Society as a soul," says John as he was about to cut Kugo's neck when Kugo stopped him.
"I will talk," says Kugo as John stopped and Kugo says, "I needed people that were in contact with hollows before so I could teach them to become better. Once in their prime, I would steal their power and make it mine. They would turn into hollows afterward and I just needed to kill them."
The four people sitting immobilized behind him were shocked to hear that as John then takes the knife away and says, "Too bad we aren't from the Soul Society."
Kugo was first in shock before beginning to feel relieved as he asks, "Will you let me go then?"
"No," says Nesiara as she rams her spear into Kugo as he begins to burn until they all smelled burned flesh and Kugo didn't scream any longer then John takes one of the Soul Stones out and three souls wandered into it as Nesiara turned to the four and says, "You really are lucky we found you before he could make his plan reality."
"We should take them with us back to Urahara's Shop," says John as he puts two of the people on his shoulder while Nesiara did the same. Fang and Jinx turned back to their cute form and sat on the head of their owners before they disappeared from there using their speed.
