Chapter 50: Stone troll

Takeshi rushes outside of the school and towards the forest with Maiman right behind him. The get into the forest and stop when there's a loud snap followed by a boom.
"That was a tree," Maiman looks at Takeshi, still in her wolf form.
"That must be huge," Takeshi starts off towards the noise. They quickly stop when a large tree comes crashing down in front of them, almost on top of Takeshi. Maiman looks up, followed by Takeshi, to see a large, grotesque humanoid that stood roughly thirty feet tall. It had dirty peach skin and wore a large piece of animal hide around its waist. The creature let out a low grumble from its mouth that hard large sharp teeth. Its arms hung low, reaching all the way to its feet and as it stands there, its pointed ears slightly twitched as a breeze passes.
"Stone troll, figures," Takeshi lets out an annoyed sigh before running at the monstrosity. He jumps into the air and turns into his dragon form. Maiman quickly follows behind, jumping into the air and changing into a large, light blue ice dragon. She quickly shoots spikes made of ice at the creatures' feet causing it to start to move its feet in an attempt to have them not get hit. Takeshi quickly flies up to the trolls face and shoots large fireballs at its face. The troll lets out loud cry before starting towards him, trying to stop him. Takeshi and Maiman continue to do this as they draw the troll farther away from the city and towards an open area. Once they get to a large, open area, helicopters arrive and begin to attack the troll, knocking it onto the ground with a loud thud. The helicopters quickly begin to shoot large chains across the creature before completely subduing it. They then shoot large tranquilizer darts at it until it goes unconscious. Maiman and Takeshi both land near the troll as the helicopters do the same. Ember steps out of one of the helicopters and approaches them as they change into their human forms.
"Good job as always you two," she gives them a small smile.
"Thank you ma'am," Maiman smiles back.
"Now go ahead and get back to school. It's only been two or three hours. You still have some time left," Ember lets out a small sigh.
"Yes ma'am," Takeshi nods and starts walking back towards the city. Maiman quickly follows and as they step into the forest, Takeshi changes into a white Thoroughbred horse. She climbs on his back and he quickly takes off towards the city.
