Chapter 5: The Illusion Spell
Petrified, she was shaking like a small prey...
"Master!!! Help!!!", she screamed in despair but no sound coming out, only warm air blowing her teary eyes.
The giant spider red eyes were eyeing her from the top of the cocoon while its hairy sharp legs were ripping its cocoon little by little and its mouth was open wide like it was smiling evilly.
"Master!!! Help!!!", again, she screamed an empty voice in distress.
'I am done..., my master left me', she thought that finally, karma caught up with her and dead would claim her for all her wrongdoing in her life. Almost, she killed her master's brother, however, never she killed before. She admitted that she had done many misdemeanors that caused disturbances and turbulences in the lower heaven. Fortunately, her master saved her from killing 'her' brother, after being saved from death even though she didn't deserve it, she wanted to turn into a new leaf, but fate was cruel, she didn't have a chance to do so...
The cocoon that wrapped her body was halfway gone, for sure she would become a circle of life momentarily...
"Master!!!! Help!!!", out of desperation, she called again for her master with a blank voice, probably it would be for the last time in her life. Her tears plastered the white fur in her cheeks area and while looking up at the red dot eyes in the dark, she accepted her fate...
However...
At that same moment, a little movement was making an adequate hole at the bottom area of the cocoon that she was sitting on and warm hands were pulling her out from her doomsday gently.
"Master!!", exclaimed her, again without voice. Her master was able to move with agility and before the giant spider realized what had happened, like a ray of light, 'she' summoned her power from heaven...
A sword of lightning manifested on her master right hand while 'her' left hand grappling her by the scruff of her neck and without pausing 'she' aimed at the giant spider vital area right in between its red eyes...
"Slash..., Slash.."
In a speed of light, only by two sword movements, the giant spider brain area was wounded deeply and black blood was gushing out like stream water...
Dumbfounded, the giant spider shrieked eerily like a crazed phantom.
It falling down from its nest with a loud boom while its eyes were widened in disbelief and agony.
Then instantly, its body dissipated into a cloud of black smoke.
Her master formidable power had saved her...
Knowing that she was saved, she fell into a deep sleep with great relief.
After dispersing 'her' thunder sword spell, Xiao Fei carried Ting's fox form like a baby on her arm and elegantly, 'she' was flying out from the darkness.
When she found out that Ting was left behind, she was rushing to help her.
Incidentally, she was using her flying skill and thus 'she' noticed that 'her' magical power was able to work in this dark region of the jungle. Thus, 'she' was able to save Ting in a prompt time.
Hopefully, it was not too late to save her brother,
Accelerating her flying speed, she was thinking in desperation,' Brother..., wait for me..., I am coming to save you!'.
- Dragon Asure Cave -
Wang Tian Huang was scanning his area while plastered his eyes to the good looking man with a blue robe attire twas complemented his blue round eyes, blue straight eyebrows, and blue long hair tightened in a ponytail similar to horsetail.
With wariness, Wang Tian Huang inquired, " Why are you taking me here?!!".
Contradicted to his pleasing look, the man hissed and growled at him with madness and raising both of his hand toward the ceiling of the cave while his blue eyes shining like a torch in the semi-dark cave, he was mumbling ancient words spell while writing runes in the ground dirt.
And in a flash of light, a great illusion array enhanced Wang Tian Huang in a trance and put him into a deep sleep.
He awoke in the middle of a bright wide street that was bustling alive with numerous people selling goods from makeshift wooden stands on both sides of the road and each stand was crowded with eager customers.
It looked like a great celebration was happening because the road was filled with an unending swarm of people either buying goods or chatting happily.
He guessed that it was a lantern festival when beautiful lanterns with different shapes and colors flew from all directions of the city and the sky was brightening with its flame.
Wang Tian Huang was unable to remember why he was there or how he got there. Standing in front of a beauty stand twas selling woman cosmetics and hair accessories, he happened to catch his image in a big mirror standing as tall as the wooden pillar.
The image stunned him...
He was just a little boy of 300 years old.
Something was not quite right but nothing would come out from his empty thought and consciousness impressions.
Suddenly two adult figures were towering him.
"Xiao Tian..., where have you been?!!", a beautiful woman with a peaceful smile was reaching out for his wrist in a gentle grip.
"Xiao Tian, you make your mother worry sick!", the handsome man standing next to the woman furrowed his brows while pinching his cheek lovingly.
Wang Huang Tian was looking up at both of the familiar faces.
"Emperor Father..., Empress Mother..., your small prince was unfilial, please forgive me!!!"
Both were smiling heavenly while holding his hands and swinging him back and forward lovingly.
But...
No response to his words as if he never said it.
"Emperor Father? Empress Mother?"
Again...
No response from his highness parents.
He realized that something was not right when everyone and everything around him turned into transparent entities.
"Illusion spell!"
Right away he sat down in a lotus position to fight the illusion with his cultivation power.
Sweating up a storm, he was using his core energy to fight the power of the spell array.
'I have to fight this. I have to break this illusion'
Gradually, flash by flash of his life was played in his head like a premonition. However, he knew all of them had happened, it was his memory.
The memory of happiness with Xiao Fei, the memory of the impending journey, and the memory of that night...
He was shocked to his core when he remembered that immoral night...
He was a monster...
A beast...
An abomination of the forbidden lovemaking act between him and Xiao Fei...
The very thought caused a big disturbance inside his consciousness...
He spat out a gruesome amount of blood...
Holding his chest to cough up more blood, his eyes turned into a beady black color just like the demon race.
Something evil and hideous had entered his heart and blocked his pure cultivation energy...
Dark smoke was becoming his aura...
Unable to fight, he succumbed to the darkness.
His lips turned into black color while his pupil was as red as blood, and everything else was normal besides the two physical changes.
He regained his past consciousness, however, a sinister formidable dark power had inhibited his body and blocked his present life consciousness.
The azure dragon was petrified...
The dark emperor had risen among the immortal and he happened to be the culprit to blame for the insidious event.
The dark emperor stared at him like a flying dagger.
He was shaking uncontrollably by the murderous aura that was able to restrain his power.
Powerless, he bowed down all the way to the ground, his blue eyes leveling the dark emperor feet while looking down submissively, he exclaimed, " Long live the dark emperor!!! From now on, your humble servant, Long Lan pledge you my allegiance to serve you eternally!"
The dark Emperor glanced at him coldly and with a strong voice, he ordered, "Open your mouth!!"
The Azure dragon did just that.
And a drop of black blood was entering his whole being...
The effect was tremendous...
His power was raised from an early emperor king level to an early immortal level, such an incremental raise of power had never been heard before.
The blood of the dark emperor indeed was very powerful against heaven's nature concepts and beliefs.
Walking flamboyantly, with his hands behind his back locking into a fist, his corner mouth lifted into a devilish smile. "From now on, serve only me, your true emperor!"
"Your wish is my honor, dark emperor!"
"Get out and guard the cave entrance. I need to cultivate this weak body. I will go into seclusion until I breakthrough into my past life dark power"
"Your lowly servant will guard you with my life!"
Satisfied with Long Lan obedience, he sealed the cave to cultivate his newly achieved dark power. Inwardly he thought...
'I have reborn in this weak body. Finally, I gained the consciousness of my last life and some of my power. Heaven emperor..., wait and see..., I would destroy you for what happened in my past life. Soon, I would regain all my dark power and rule the whole realms once again!'
