Chapter 90: 'Innocent Brawl'
Mimi Fan finished telling Lin Fan about Lo Zhou and then proceeded to go back to the tournament to get herself a good seat. She wanted to sit in the front row to see Lin Fan kicking Ban Ta's ass!
Ban Ta would be a hard opponent for Lin Fan, but Mimi Fan was certain that her father had improved by leaps and bounds. The only thing she noticed about Ban Ta was that he muttered less around her, and had gotten a cold glare.
It was almost as if that glare was somehow looking into the future, but she didn't think much of it as she walked towards the gates of the arena. It was pretty crowded, but since she could fly she took off over a crowd of women and flew into the gate.
As she was about to pass the gate, though, something bumped into her and sent her flying back into the golden entrance way. A little boy that was wearing a crown was in front of her, laughing as she felt a pang of pain travel up her back.
"You... you're stupid..." The little boy said with a glib, foppish presence. "You think you can win the blacksmith competition... My brother had a legendary silver blacksmith aura when he was nine years old..."
"I'm eight, and I got it when I was seven..." Mimi Fan floated forward and tried to pass by the little arrogant boy with brown hair. "Your brother doesn't know who he's going up against! I'm going to kick his ass... Now let me through!"
"I'm strong... If you come this way, I'll hit you..." The little arrogant boy pushed Mimi Fan in the shoulder as Gin Ran watched from the distance with a snarl. He recognized the boy as the Empyrean Prince who was the brother of someone on the Empyrean Youth League.
He was the second born son of one of the Empyrean Emperors, and had once again decided to cause some trouble. Gin Ran didn't particularly care if Lin Fan won or lost, so he didn't want this little boy messing with Lin Fan's daughter.
Even if she wasn't technically his daughter by blood, messing with someone considered someones daughter could cause more fury then a slight directed at Lin Fan. He was worried that if Lin Fan got strong, he might have a problem with that little boy's family. The kid she was talking to was named Beck Quin, and his family controlled a fairly large Empyrean District.
He saw a nightmare on his hands, but also didn't want to leave his daughter alone. If she got up, she might be able to find a kitchen and start cooking.
"I'm strong too, and my teacher taught my a skill to deal with irascible men! Don't make me use it on you!" Mimi Fan bit down on her lip with puffed out cheeks as Lin Fan walked into the gate and smiled at her. He reached into the sky to grab her before a man came up and grabbed his hand.
"That's my brother... Let him talk to your little girl... If he likes what he sees, then maybe it will benefit you in the future..."
"Get your hands off me, or I'll put you back in heaven..." Lin Fan tugged off the arm of the man before he ducked as a white blur slashed past his body.
Lin Fan immediately jumped back as Gin Ran instantly appeared between Lin Fan and Ind Quin. He pushed both of their fists back as he sighed and rubbed his head. If Yan Ran got up right now, it would be the end of his peaceful nights not on the toilet.
He looked between Lin Fan and Ind Quin before he sighed and put his arm around Lin Fan. He also turned to wink at Ind Quin, leaving Mimi Fan and Beck Quin fighting up above them in the air...
"Lin Fan... I don't know if you'll earn my daughters heart, however, if you piss off the Quin Family, you can guarantee things won't be easy for you in the future..."
"Our lineage is actually quite benevolent and could even be considered benign. However, the Quin branch has been known to take over worlds and loot them of ores and even women..."
"That's... that's fine father in law... I just can't let anything happen to Mimi Fan... You understand... I'll wipe out half the universe if someone messes with her... You made that bedroom for Yan Ran for a reason, right?"
"I'm giving you a chance because I think you have potential... However, let kids be kids... They are both in the same rank anyway, and can't do too much damage to each other..."
Lin Fan looked back at Mimi Fan as he pulled out her sword and Beck Quin pulled out a large sledgehammer. The two looked like little titans about to duel it out as Lin Fan shook his head. He was in the arms of a god, and also didn't want to anger more Empyreans.
He wanted their daughters, after all, all of them, and was pretty sure Mimi Fan had an ability even he couldn't stop. She showed it to him the other morning, and he smiled thinking about his little monster...
"Do Empyreans teach kids defense against mental techniques?" Lin Fan looked at his future father in law with supiscion and alarm... "I actually think you might want to stop their little brawl..."
"Not good... She wouldn't use it so quickly would she?" Gin Ran turned back and sighed as he floated slowly towards Mimi Fan and Beck Quin as they started to spar very innocently with each other.
Mimi Fan just used simple sword swings and Beck Quin blocked easily.
Gin Ran thought he was being crazy and sighed before his stomach turned as he floated towards the two little runts. Yan Ran had probably already found a kitchen, and his happy days were over...
"You... you hit me in the face!" Beck Quin pushed Mimi Fan as suddenly a gigantic ball of light surrounded both of them... "I won't let you leave now! You're mine until daddy comes here!"
"Let her out..." Gin Ran knocked on the bubble as he felt trouble brewing on his hands... "I can break this little treasure if I have to..."
"You won't piss off my father!" Beck Quin smiled before his arm blurred with a red sanguine attack. He activated a little bit of the law of fire hoping to show this little girl who was boss.
However, as his hand moved, suddenly he saw Mimi Fan's blue eyes start to spin. A moment later, his stomach turned as he fell down and collapsed into the floating bubble. Beck Quin's face dropped hard inside of it as Ind Quin looked on with shock and horror at his little brother.
Mimi Fan smiled and then flew outside of the bubble as it deactivated and went to Lin Fan. She smiled and put her arms around him as all the Empyreans in the Arena began to boil with fury.
"Father... I showed that little brat who was boss... He pushed me and even tried to attack me! However, Grand Dragon Varos taught me a mental attack!"
"Stand behind me... Mimi Fan..." Lin Fan pushed her back as the Empyrean Youth League and the Empyrean Champion Leagues members surrounded him... "I'm glad you stood up for yourself... Now let father help you out a little bit, okay?"
