Chapter 2: Too Late
Inside his sea of consciousness, an ethereal version of Zeoart can be seen. Surrounding him was a very dark aura that was coming from a dark red V-shaped mark.
The spirit Zeoart had his eyes closed while he has a pained expression on his face as if he was suffering from something. The dark aura was entering his spirit body making half of his spirit turn black from white.
His spirit was still slowly turning black, and from the looks of it, it would not take seven years before his whole spirit turn completely black.
It would have been if weren't for the sudden emergence of a bright halo of white light. The halo of light hovered on top of Zeoart's spirit as the corrosion from the dark aura stop.
The dark aura in his spirit then started to come out, at a pace slightly faster than the corrosion. The spirit Zeoart then opened his eyes, as his eyes show a shocked look. He scanned his surroundings hurriedly and can still see the dark aura that had caused him great suffering for ten years.
The only thing that was different is that the dark aura was prevented from corrupting his body by a white barrier. He then looks at his head to find that there is a halo that keeps on feeding light energy into his spirit, getting rid of the dark aura inside his spirit.
"What is going on?" Zeoart asked to himself.
He knows that the dark red mark was from the assassin that tried to kill him. From what he had experienced, it is a very strong curse that imprisons his consciousness as it slowly corrupts his spirit before turning him into a dark apparition.

A mechanical female voice disturbs his thoughts. But upon hearing it, an excited expression appeared on his face before saying.
"Yes! But before that, Tiona, can you show me my status?" Zeoart asked.
[Okay, Art.] Then after that, a transparent white screen appeared in his vision.

Looking at his status, Zeoart can't help but lament that it should have been much better if he didn't trap for ten years.
He can also see that his FP is slowly increasing so he asked the Tiona.
[It is because of the dark energy inside your spirit Art. The system is converting those dark energies into FP and there will also be a surprise reward after it converted all the dark energy inside your spirit.]
"Those dark energies won't leave any negative effects on my spirit, right?" Zeoart asked.
[Yes, it won't leave any negative effects.]
"That's good then." Zeoart sighed in relief.
[Would you like to see the additional features now?]
"Yes."

"An Appraisal and Store feature huh? Tiona, is it just me or you're walking the path of a classic system?" Zeoart asked.
[What do you mean by that Art? I am no classic system, I am the Fictional Summoning System! I do not only summon fictional characters but I can also summon fictional objects and others!]
"Whoaaa, easy there girl. I was just teasing you, okay?" Zeoart said with a smile.
[Hmph! Instead of teasing me, you should open your 'Level-Up Reward Box' and see what you will get.]
"Oh right! I almost forgot about that, thanks for reminding me Tiona. Can you open it for me?" Zeoart said. He had forgotten about that reward, which was a quest reward from his last quest before he was imprisoned by that dark curse.

"Whaaaat?! That's bonkers! How long do you think it would take before all the dark energy inside my spirit is converted?! Just look at this progress!" Zeoart said as he pointed at his spirit body with over 62% of it still in black.
"You have already started converting the dark energy for seven hours straight! And you only absorbed 1% of it! At this rate, it would take 18 days for it to convert everything to FP!" He roared, completely angry.
He is in a hurry not because he is excited to see what he will get, but because, he wants to see his father once again and tell him that he will be fine.
The time he had spent with his father may have been not that long, but the deep affection towards a family member made it really hard for him to just wait while his father is on the verge of dying.
Zeoart, have no idea that his father had already died a few hours ago. And the only reason why he still had no idea is that he has cut off his connection with the outside.
His whole focus was inside his sea of consciousness that if he ever tries peeking outside, he will find himself standing before the corpse of his father.

I would just like to ask for some suggestions on what bloodline, technique, and talent he should be receiving. It doesn't matter where it comes from, just chose any. I will make a random choice later on and add them to the story.
