Chapter 50: finishing this once and for all

Within seconds two sides light and dark broke into a gruesome battle. As each side fights no one stops until their body falls. As the battle rages on, blood stains the ground.

Despite their bravery, the sheer number of them overwhelmed Jordi's team. Jordi nodded and his friend Zella ran off to get rid of the spell sucking in the water. She ran off into the room where the water was being stored. She had the power to undue any magic spell or enchantment on anything. She began glowing as beams of power moved around the room like branches to tear down the spell and it's connections to all of Morocco. Everyone began buying her time hoping to finish everyone off before she got back. The battle has been going on for hours, but there was no end in sight.

They had a necromancer, no matter how many we killed more came. In a desperate attempt to turn the tide of battle I saw something I wouldn't believe Jordi would do. He used the forbidden enhancing magic. He saw Zella come back from the other room nodding in triumph. He looked over at his friend and nodded. his friend put up his hand and teleported us all away. As it was happening I saw Jordi pulling out a microphone, and saw his body look like it was being ripped apart by shock waves and he put the microphone to his mouth. Then we were gone before I knew just how powerful this forbidden magic was.

Jordi's pov

In one fateful motion, I activated the frequency, and the world around me was engulfed in a haunting cascade of sound. Everyone around me screamed in agony as the invisible waves infiltrated their bodies, shredding their eardrums and tearing through their very souls. Terrifying cries of pain could be heard for miles. Their bodies collapse to the ground, lifeless and torn. Some tried to cover their ears dropping to the ground, clutching their heads, as blood gushed from their ears. The room had blood splattered everywhere and peoples heads blown up off their bodies.

Victoria's pov

We eventually teleport back to the factory, and see a sea of broken building parts and dead people and look away. everyone begins looking for Jordi until we find him in the center of the destroyed building. I say "was this all from the enhancer power". One of his friends sighed "it's forbidden for a reason". I ran over to Jordi who was having a seizure with blood coming out of his ears and nose. I shout "is he dead, Someone tell me he's ok goddammit" I look away as a tear runs down my face. "I know it's only been awhile since I got to know him but he was like an uncle he's been taking care of me" I cry.

After a while of sitting there with his now limp body I decided we should leave but before we do he reaches his hand to my head and rubs it as he grunts, coughing up blood. I yell at him "why would you do that...I thought you were dead" He closes his eyes laying back"no...I should be, it is powered by your life force. That's why it's forbidden". I helped him up and we all teleported back to where Jordi and I were staying. We played him down and let him sleep. He was out for a week. After this he went to another one of those meetings in which they talked about how the problem just went away. When Jordi came back he smiled and laughed saying "the leader said... the water just magically came back out of thin air". I smiled "yeah magic, he hit the nail on the head and he didn't even know". We both spend time clearing everything up and making sure that people came to clear up any indication that magic existed.

After a couple more months of staying there and helping the town get back on track and training more with Jordi I decided it was time for me to go back. The last day I was sitting under that ancient baobab tree near the town that shaded me from the beating sun. As I wiped the sweat from my brow, I realized that I had not only uncovered the truth about the black magic surge in Africa but also brought peace and tranquility back to Morocco because they got their water back. I said my farewells to all the people I got to know in this little town and thanked Jordi for everything he did for me. My thrilling journey in Africa had not only transformed me into a stronger warrior but also reminded me of the power hidden within myself. As the winds blew softly I left for home.
