Chapter 51: whispers in the wind
After the long flight home I finally got into my warm blanket and sat down on the couch beside Cate and Patrick as they watched Cates favorite show as usual. I leaned in to Cate feeling bitter sweet because I know she's gonna be mad that I waited so long to tell her.
A little bit later in the night I realized I must have drifted into sleep. I smiled when I saw blaze fly towards me like a burst of flame into my arms and I hugged blaze tight to my chest as the flames died down. I ended up playing fetch with her as I felt a sense of peace envelope me.But then I felt sad "I wish I could dream again", I thought to myself. I layed down in the white fog at my feet and a tear ran down my face. "Oh blaze, I feel so lonely, like I can't rely on anyone, or I shouldn't because they will get hurt", and im scared every time I sleep that the witch will take over". Blaze lays on my chest and spreads her fire around my body. I smile "that feels nice and warm blaze, at least your here and I can tell you how I feel".
I lay there for a while until I gradually hear a whisper getting louder and stand up. I follow the sound of the whisper thinking it's the witch. "Witch if you want something just come to me, your whispering is annoying". I walk around trying to find the voice until I realize it was master sky, I smile "master" I see her and run to her wrapping her in a hug.
"I was with Jordi in Africa, he's doing undercover work now you know" she smiles from this comment as her, and my dad were kinda like older siblings towards Jordi in there teens years when he was still a kid. I explain to her everything that is going on but even now looking at her I still feel guilty and sad from what I did.
