Chapter 41: cate and patrick
. Cate woke up stretching and beside her was patrick. She smiled and kissed his cheek. She though he was still sleeping and got up to get ready. When she went to tuck him back in and straiten the blanket he grabbed her wrist and pushed her down on the bed. he kissed her passionately when they separated he looked at her with blood lust in his eyes.
Babe did you forget to take your blood substitute last night, your eyes are red?" cate asked.
He let go of her wrist and turned on his back sighing " yeah I was really tired after work and I just wanted to come join you in the warm bed to forget about the stressful day".
Cate smiled and started running her hand through his hair, and he went baby mode and cuddled close to her warm chest to hear her heart beat. Both of them laid there cuddling for a bit before he licked her neck sensually. She looked down at him surprised. He looked up at her " yeah I'll go take the substitute now" Patrick said with a awkward laugh.
When Patrick left the room cate grabbed a pillow and covered her face with it. She was blushing so much and she thought to herself I wonder what it would feel like if he did drink my blood. Cates mind filled with inappropriate thoughts and she hit herself with the pillow. Thinking to herself " what the he'll is wrong with me, its not like him and me have slept together so why am i thinking these thoughts".
She got up and went into the kitchen to get breakfast. Both of them were eating together when Patrick asked cate when Victoria would be back. Cate stopped eating and looked at Patrick sighing. "I don't know. She stopped responding about a month ago and shes already been gone for almost 5 months now or maybe six... idk... I wonder if shes ok".
Patrick asked" do you think she'll be surprised were dating when she gets back, I mean you despised me at first". Cate laughed awkwardly " I don't know I think she'll be happy for us but surprised to". Cate frowned and sighed. Patrick noticed and came around the counter and hugged cate from behind. Patrick reassured her that everything will be fine.
Cate smiled and leaned in and kissed him. "I hope so".
Right then victoria came barging through the door "IM SORRY I STOPPED RESPONDING ALOT OF SHIT HA-" Victoria stopped surprised to see them holding each other in there arms, she stops shocked, asking what's going on. Cate lets go of Patrick and runs into Victoria's arms and whimpers, "you were gone for so long I started to worry".
Victoria smiled and they shared a hug, before Victoria asked again why Patrick was hugging her. Cate laughed and said "well... were dating now". Victoria looked back and forth between them wondering if she was serious " but you hated him".
Cate explained that while Vicky was gone they started to do stuff together all the time and then started to catch feelings and then there they were now.
She also told vicky that she was gone for so long she got bored so she started hanging with him. They have been dating for 2 and a half months now.
All of them ate breakfast and discussed what happened at camille island minus the killing of master sky and victoria being on trial.
