Chapter 29: Mornings are not fun
. I woke up it was Monday a fresh new week. I've been here for a month or so now, maybe even a bit longer. I stood up and my maid came rushing in shes so kind and I make sure she is treated well. She helps me pick my outfit and I end up wearing a blackish gold dress/suit.
It reminded me of my fairy outfit for fighting. My mask won't let me touch it or put it on anymore. Its protecting itself from the witch. It is slowly disappearing bit my bit over half of the mask is just gone. It won't go back to normal until I put it on again. If the whole mask disappears I no longer am a fairy hunter and I lose my powers. The witch wins then I only have a 1/4th of the mask yet so I need to hurry. the mask starts to disappear when the soul of it's master is fully corrupted or dead so I'm almost out of time.
I ran out of my room down the hallway out of the west wing and through the main hallway. My room was on the second floor not including the basement. I stopped before I got to the stairs and ran to the south wing were my father and mothers bedroom is. This place is still a maze even after all the years I lived here. When I entered the south wing I had to try to remember was it right or left. It was left so I am down the secondary hallway and finally came upon my parents room I left a note on the door that said I'm heading out of the castle early and not to worry I'll be safe.
I started running through the hallway and thought I saw someone and tripped and fell on my skirt. I hit my head and a maid came running down the hallway. I was right there was someone.
She gasped when she found out it was me. I smiled awkwardly and she looked frightened. She grabbed a ice pack and put it on my head after laying me on her lap. The maids were like my second moms they treated me so well.
After she felt like my head was fine she helped me up and explained that I need to walk and not trip or both of us could get in trouble. I thanked her before walking down the rest of the hallway and out of the south wing. I ran down the stairs past the thrown room and past the ballroom and the kitchen and library and great Hall and tons of other rooms.
I ran through the palace court yard and past the second gate and said hello to the guards and explained where I'm going and left the first gate leaving the safety of the palace walls. now I was out of the palace.
I ran down the street holding my skirt and trying to be as proper as possible while still being in a hurry. Running through town and its normal morning line up. I said "hello" to the baker and got some sweet bread and asked "how is your morning" to the doctors and the flourist. I got some fresh flowers for my master. I didn't pass anyone else from the town before I got to the dojo. Maybe I'll see more people on the way back.
