Chapter 25: Tight rope
. I woke up the next day getting a call from Cate. She was checking up on me seeing how I was doing. I told her that I've hand a good time so far back on camille island and I miss her so much. We talked about how Patrick was doing and how my father is and how the capital and city's of camille are doing. After we ended the call I got up and went downstairs for breakfast. I enjoyed a nice meal chatting with my father, he had no important business this morning so we could enjoy are meal together.
After a good morning I head out of the castle and go to the dojo to see what my teacher will do today with me. She ask me to grab her tea when I get there and I trip over the mat and spill the tea everywhere. I panicked going back and forth between apologizing and harshly rubbing the rug trying to clean it up. Master sky sighs and says " your balance is as bad as ever". Then her eyes open wide and she shouts" I know what we're gonna do today". her and me have some yummy tea before we leave the dojo... it tasted a bit off. But I didn't think anything of it.
She asks me to follow her and I do up to the mountain. I wonder what were doing here but I find out. She asks me to fly across to the other side with this rope and I look at her confused. She looks at me very seriously so I just take the people and do as she says. I come back understanding what we're doing today.
She conjured up a force field and placed it bellow the rope so if I fell I would not die. I look at her confused again " why did you do that I can fly". She looks down at her watch and waits for it to say 9:00. "Now you cant" she says. I try to use my powers and nothing I look at her and ask what did she do to me. She says" I got a potion from your father to get rid of your powers for a day". I remember the tea and frown, that must be why It tasted funny.
She slaps my back with her cane and tells me to get going. I get nervous because I've always had my powers I'm basically human without them. I step on the rope and start to walk across but I get scared and loose my balance and fall. I fall on the soft force field and grunt from anger. I climb back up the side of the mountain and try again, I end up falling halfway. I do it again and again and again still falling everytime. I grunt angrily from my failed attempts I get back up and breath deeply.
I try again and I finally make it and I get so proud of myself but she tells me to come back across so I try, but she summons a couple robotic light beam shooters and they start to fire at me. I try to dodge them but I loose my focus and fall. I do it again and again but as you know already I fall. each time I hit the force field and get up and try again. I start to go across and I'm about to fall master says to me "is this why you got taken over by the witch is this how your gonna live untill your trapped in nothingness if you can't walk across your weak...your weaker then her and your never going he able to cross". I cry from her words and one of the light beams hit me right in my gut and I fall to the force field and wince in pain. She comes down there to talk to me " if you let things get to you like this I know you won't make it and I want to see you as queen of the nation one day we have to get your emotions under control, if you can't even handle the harsh truth from me how will you make it across this tightrope of life huh...do you understand". I look over at her and sigh "yes". and master Sky tells me I should go home for the day. I sigh but do as she says and pick myself up and climb back up the mountain leaving the mountain heading back to the castle.
I decide to go strait to my room not taking any detours. I sit down on my bed and punch my pillow in anger throwing it across the room. I can't be mad at sky when she is right. She is not trying bto be mean and what she said hurt but I know what she is saying. I hear a clank and look over to the window were a figure jumps in and runs towards me. I try to use my powers and fly away or zap him with lighting but I remember I cant. I say shit under my breath. I still try to get away and fight back but he ties me up and I start to scream for the guards and they come rushing in, but I'm already out the window. This is not good.
