Chapter 2: My art

I woke up gasping for air that would not enter my lungs. My heart was beating out my chest and I felt consumed by my fear and my demons as I feel my body fight for rationality over the insanity that wanted to destroy me. I never wished for that day to repeat but it has been ever so often in my dreams. Nothing changed I dreamed about the same excruciating events that led to me getting cursed. It felt so real like a replica of the memory itself.

I was still clutching my throat when the door eased open. What I saw was my friend Catherine's eyes filled with concern "what's wrong" she asked concerned.

I dropped my hands to my side and said" I'm just a little thirsty that's all" I was lying. I knew I could never tell her about that night, I tell her everything, but I don't know what would happen if she knew this and I don't want to find out.

She said, " if your fine then get out of bed sleepy head were busy people with full schedules". I laugh at her, and she shuts the door as we share a giggle. Once I was alone, I laid back on my bed and sighed as I could breathe again, and I squeezed my pillow to myself and calmed down. Eventually I got up and did my normal routine as per usual. I ate my oatmeal and washed my dishes. I saw Cate watching the morning news, such a hypocrite I sneer.

I grabbed the remote turned off the tv and mimicked her " isn't today a busy day... I thought so". I smiled and walked into my office. I'm an artist, I don't have to do any work, but I love doing it. I have plenty money too, but I want to be able to be self-reliant and not have to always ask my dad the fairy king of Camille Island for money I do it enough anyways.

My last piece of art was bought for $90 it was called "wild child" it was one of my best pieces. After getting all set up, I started finishing the final changes on my current art piece I dipped my paint brush into my jar of water that I used to clean my brushes and spined it around. Then I took my rag and got all the water off it and dipped it into the white and splattered white specs of paint all over the eyes. Right now, I was working on a piece called eyes of the universe.

I put all my tools of art away and cleaned up any paint mess there was left. " Now to let this dry another masterpiece complete ". I set the canvas out to dry and left the room. Moments later my bracelet vibrated that meant mission time.
