Chapter 43: Chapter 43
The man seemed to want to build tension with the 'animals', a shake of the wolf's head came at that thought. He realizes that Bob wasn't really being mean, just trying to have a little showmanship. A bag appearing in his hand and tamping it down into his pipe, starting to once again enjoy the flavor. The first breath out signaling his continuing, "That sort of array isn't uncommon. Depending on what you want, it could even let you imagine the enemies, or use the study of regular animals. Long enough practice in it allows for cultivators to be placed into the array."
The young wolf looks on curiously as the man keeps up his steady smoking habit. The smell was the only annoying thing, causing his nose to twitch with every smell of the heady mix of tobacco. "Would there be any with previous 'users' recorded beforehand?" He asks curious. The understanding that they wouldn't be recorded usually, since cultivators would have a bit different method of fighting, along with a bit more intelligent method.
Bob's head wobbles, a little unsure how to answer that question, having no true idea if there would be easily bought ones. The human's head was turned to the sky in thought, taking a moment to blow smoke ring towards the sky. "It is a possibility, I wouldn't know if there is one anywhere near. I know, sometimes, they are put up for auctions as a training material. Copies of the formation spreading almost everywhere within the same clans or armies. Only when there is the possibility of a fight do they bring out other clan's." What is unsaid, is the fact that it would act like a sort of spy method.
The wolf's head moves in a nod, "Can see them being restricted most of the time. I would see it as a resource for the whole clan's." Taking a moment to stand, his legs were just a little bit tired. Taking hi time to pace, working himself back and forth. "So, could you possibly attain it?"
The man was taking in his thoughts, trying to decide if that would be something manageable. Before he shakes his head, "Nope, partly with the price, partly that I am not to close. I mean, if I was close, I'd have had someone assisting me, instead of just coming out by myself. A larger auction might have some, but that would drive the price up." His next attempt to blow trying to form some more shapes then just rings. A simple form was making a 'target' out of the rings, blowing them upwards, the hardest part being lining them up perfectly, instead of just a loose collection.
"Is there anyone that might be 'convinced' to help you?" The wolf says keeping an eye on Bob, knowing that the man was intelligent with most issues. Talking these problems out might have been long, but necessary.
The man taps his chin with the stem of his pipe in thought, "Possibly, but they would require something worth their time and effort. I am sure that you wouldn't have the coin necessary. I don't see a bag, I'm sure there isn't anything of worth." He says with a shrug.
The wolf shows his teeth a little, "There is always the chance to find a place with something. I might already know just what your thinking about. So I can show you something tomorrow and see if your ready for it." He says with a smile, watching the pair of fox cubs, chasing each other around their own mother.
