Chapter 24: Finessing ye ol' Ocean
Remembrance, Shi Tian smiled with delight, intrigued by that voice eerie he remembered back to those fragmented memories that arose on that fateful day... "Shi Tian... Remind this world... Destroy them... Those arrogant... Show this world just what it means to reign supreme."
Calm over a sea fierce he stood frozen like a mountain taking on the measly sea breeze, over a sea insignificant he stood towering. For he knew, after today his rise was inevitable, and on his path to overlord the unlikeliest of enemies stood first the ocean.
"Heh." With such a thought Shi Tian chuckled, to conquer the ocean as nothing it brought a smile to his face.
The ocean the unlikeliest of foes, but here a boy ignorant to the brim declared war.
Unconquerable the ocean since time began. Scavenging from nothing to ruling something unsurpassable, from a world of nothing to a world of chaos, Shi Tian walked resolutely.
Diving at the water's edge Shi Tian entered the ocean's elusive grasp for a second time.
Scavengers merely looking for the tracks of predators enter a path eternally. Hungered and driven by his emotions Shi Tian acted. Paths they had to change however, mindless he could be no longer, for now, he needed to relinquish his old self becoming something greater, he needed to think no longer putting his life at risk over some mere scraps.
Metamorphosis Shi Tian needed to reach it, however, as a scavenger his options grew limited to only one. To take everything in his path Shi Tian had to scavenge on a scale beyond that of a scavenger, rewriting what it meant to be a scavenger and to do so Shi Tian had to walk a path where danger lurked at each corner.
A sudden feeling of amnesia, a bright demonic smile rises as Shi Tian thinks, "Remind this world." This line, it kept with him closely, for growth he had to do something crazed for these beings in the sea below each exceeded his own, but what he was about to do. From the very mouths of these beings Shi Tian needed to snatch their meal from right underneath their teeth, this was the only way.
Exhilarating, Shi Tian dove into the ocean's cold blood boiling grasp. Releasing himself to chaos Shi Tian plummets aiming for the ocean's bed but ten meters down, he stops. Beneath a mountain of boulders laid hidden right off the island's edge.
On the move, Shi Tian continued on, but something caught his eye, with a slight grin on his face Shi Tian dove as he watched a school one million large begin making its way past.
He had taken notice of something, no. Shi Tian had remembered something, these rocks he has seen them before, those rocky creatures that ate sloppily, if this was them he had to make a bet and so turning back Shi Tian dove.
Insignificance, within this world of giants Shi Tian was nothing, and so he made a bet. He bet that before this rocky crustacean he'd be ignored.
Descending, Shi Tian smiled on the inside, as with each kick, and with each wave of his arms, he grows ever so close to the ocean's fabricated depths.
If what Shi Tian believed was in accordance with reality then the one to reap in the profit would be him, the scavenger.
Diving, he peaks up to see something enticing. Millions of fish swimming in perfect harmony, swaying side to side with the current moving just as the ocean predetermined.
Upon searching around fear, terror, and hysteria. Above, a sea stained red and falling down upon Shi Tian organs and torn flesh, the time aforementioned had come.
Light frolicking amongst the gentle waves chaotic revering the ocean demonic. When blood and light mix chaos as if drugged all near grow berserk.
What unfolded before him, a pincer attack, but it was what happened after that was truly unruly, a complete slaughter, this school in merely 3 seconds ceased existing. Blood running high, these oversized rocks were on edge, amidst the chaos, without remorse slaughtered ending a school.
Bloodlust, it was not it, however, controlled by emotions, controlled by the moon's light, they grew blood-hungry. To eat they no longer cared, living on only one thought, to slaughter they moved, they moved to kill their own, turning on one another, and amidst this chaos, a stunning youth weaving his way around, dodging the attacks of rocks scavenged.
Finessing crustaceans, Shi Tian traveled back and forth, with flesh upon his shoulder. Without a second to breathe Shi Tian claims everything his. The God of scavengers, a title sought by few but wished upon by many, God separate from all, those with the title Scavenger care not of simple antics before them, paying respects none, and to those that dare pray before a God of Scavengers, they are robbed senseless.
To Shi Tian scavenge meant to take everything, and Shi Tian did as such. Transferring, he scavenged, claiming everything Shi Tian stole from right under their noses.
Dazed, these crustaceans fought sluggishly, their defense great but with their strength immense like an astroid plummeting into the side of a mountain, their bounderish defense shattered, and like a crab without a shell they fell dead, hunted by those they once loved. Their flesh, deserted but never wasted, for swimming with great pain a young boy with 4 of these deshelled crustaceans on his back surfaced.
Scavenging everything late into the night, Shi Tian continued until the sun rose, and their consciousness returned to a sea of blood but around no battlefield.
Laughing to the sun, standing on top of a mountain, Shi Tian grinned chaotically. He felt like a God, standing on top of all life, this feeling he loved it. Mountain of flesh; world of demons, Shi Tian fell with laughter, eying his meal with a lustful gaze he ran forward and bit down on a crabs leg, as he bit down however a scream rang.
"AHHHHHHHH!" Following a voice authoritative, "Release this one you fiend."
Ignoring such words Shi Tian looked around to discover this shellless crustacean was alive, replying, Shi Tian said, "You're lucky to have met this ancestor, others won't be as kind, now bow down before me, and I'll spare you."
Dragging him out from under the masses of flesh, Shi Tian spoke once more, "Become my slave. Follow me."
Roaring this defenseless and shellless crab screamed, "Trying to ascend the Heavens!"
Laughing with total contempt, Shi Tian sneered, "The Heavens must first ascend me." For just saying such a thing, Shi Tian slapped this crab senseless, while grinning ear to ear.
Defenseless this crab cried while speaking to Shi Tian, "Kid, know your place, I was alive even before your ancestors."
Sneering with a bright smile, Shi Tian replied, "Before my ancestors? Yet you're only this? HA-HA-HA, even the chickens in my backyard are stronger than you."
Angered this crab cursed, "Fuck! Having no respect for your ancestors."
Shi Tian spoke out with extreme arrogance: "You're no ancestor of I why should I be respectful? And do you truly believe you're older than I, Shi Tian? Because I'm afraid... I'm afraid that in terms of seniority even your ancestors would bow down to show their respect."
Boiling, steam rose through his ears, angered beyond comparison, his head became a floodway, for steam to rise, fuming this crab screamed a cry, "Heh, I'll have you know that this little dragon, Jiao Long has lived for over nine trillion years." Snickering he spoke once more, "So just how old are you?"
Shi Tian's mind shook a little, the word dragon brought back a memory but it soon disappeared.
9 trillion... This number greatly exceeded his own, however, he refused to back down, speaking out with a certain arrogance, acting above all he said, "Haha, only 9 trillion? Even my great great great great great great great grandson's age exceeds that of 9 trillion."
The little crab's body shook once more as he replied quickly: "Haha, did I say my age was 9 trillion? My bad that was my great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grand daughter's sons, nephews, cousins, pet dog's age."
Shi Tian also quick to reply, his voice still filled to the brink with arrogance, he countered, "HAHA, It seems in my old age my head has become a little muzzled, It seems I too have made a mistake, for even my great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grandson's daughter's son's, nieces husbands father in law who was a cook, managed to raise a chicken far past that age."
They both paused at this moment, only staring at each other as if frozen in time, the seas calm. Minutes passed, hours passed, days passed, then a laugh.
They both began to laugh insanely. Walking up to each other with bright grins sitting across their faces, this crab calling himself little dragon, Jiao Long spoke, "HAHA, my good brother. I thought no one in this realm was as shameless than me."'
Shi Tian laughed, "HAHA, my very good brother, I too never thought I'd meet someone as shameless as me." Hungered, Shi Tian began to eat, and on the side, his good brother sat watching, this meal it was not his, he could not barge in no matter if they where brothers. But Shi Tian he was different, he cared not of rules, if anyone dared mention rules before him he would curse, "Fuck stop boasting, my very words are the rules!"
To his brothers, Shi Tian would spare no effort, and so to his good brother 4 fish each reaching hundreds of meters in length where tossed his way. Feasting upon the reaping of a scavenger with bright smiles they devour.
Whether it was luck or some kind of divine skill none knew, but entering the ocean twice and surviving it was unprecedented. Yet returning to land, Shi Tian the scavenger.
Deep within, it roared. Hidden deep within Shi Tian something forced its way out, a dark flame moved resilient, something starved called upon its summoning to this world, fainting Shi Tian fell, as this flame took his place, flying free through the air, this flame galloped to the peak of the mountain, and here this flame smiled, before muttering, "Devour."
Before the sun bright, a demonic symbol moved, blocking all light. The world runs dark, and below a world already demonic becomes something beyond even hell, as something unknown, something more chaotic than chaos itself burns everything, no...
Each of these flames they were alive, they where eating, they where feasting. Upon this mountain of flesh trillions of flames ate in the silence of darkness, in such a terrifying event only one remained exempt to death, a little dragon that Shi Tian had made his brother, had his arms over his head, and he kneeled to the darkness.
Little dragon a coward, his name proved true. To talk with arrogance when truly you were scared, but Shi Tian he too was the same, merely a creature scared of the world but moving on regardless, for his wish.
He kneeled, giving up Shi Tian's gift as this being demonic devoured everything, and at such a thing, this being only smiled before releasing control.
Awakened, Shi Tian didn't even notice a thing, but around him, the world had changed, the disappearance of his mountain, the lingering aroma of cooked fish, and on the island's edge his brother laid with his hands on his head, muttering continuously, "Stay away, stay away, don't come near------."
Extremely angered, to see his good brother balled up, he screamed, "FUCK! Who did this to you? I'll kill them, I'll kill them, I'll kill them!"
