Chapter 15: 15. Dave Hendricks
[Gea, its Dave Hendricks can we meet tomorrow?]. Gea is ready to back to her apartment when she saw Dave message on her business phone. Gea enters the elevator and replies
[I believe we have not scheduled a session] Gea reply.
[can I call you?] Dave text back. Ready to take a shower Gea reply [ Sure, give me 30 minutes].
Gea is in her bed start to open a novel when her phone rang
"Hi, I am sorry for bothering you. I was wondering if you do not have anything to do can we meet tomorrow? It's not a session though, we could have a friendly lunch or maybe dinner, " Dave explained his intention
Can not hear Gea replied yet Dave hurriedly add "JJ will be there too, you could bring your friends if you want"
"Hmmm, let me think about it and let you know soon" Gea wasn't surprised that Dave called, by the session spent with JJ several times, and short observation when they meet Dave actually a cheerful person, but it doesn't mean that he is an opened person.
After Gea informs Andrea that she'll arrive late tomorrow in B city, still she is going to be there, Gea talks to DJ about Dave's call and asked if she wants to come. Get DJ opinion, Gea text Dave and continue her reading.
Dave read Gea reply when he finished his commercial shoot. [Sure, let's have brunch instead of lunch if you are okay with that?].
Have his schedule clear for tomorrow already, Dave type [ It's Brunch than, I'll pick you up 10.00 AM, I had a great restaurant in mind, but do tell me if you have a place that you prefer].
[No, I don't have any place in mind, 10.00 AM in front of my office.]
09.55 AM Gea already stands in front of her office and spot Dave in the front passenger car with JJ behind the wheel. Gea walks there while JJ opened the back seat door for her.
"I am all alone" Gea answered to JJ questioning look
"off we go then" JJ hurriedly back in the driver seat.
They arrived in the restaurant at 10.30 AM, it has a really cosy environment with the mini waterfall, bamboo furniture and a really nice landscape, it is like we open the door and enter a new place, it's just not so S' city, but it is in S' city.... like a village inside the city.
Dave could see a mesmerizing look in Gea face, a smile in her eyes.
" Do you like it?" Dave asked Gea
Still felt like hypnotized Gea says nothing and nod her head
Dave really an easy-going person to hang out with, helpful and friendly, however, Gea could sense that his not an opened person. Dave talks about many things but never mentioned his family, things that he likes and dislikes. Dave chats cheerfully mostly about people surrounding him but never mentioned about himself.
The food served is simple yet really tasted great; fried tempeh and tofu, three kinds of vegetables, grilled fish, sour-sweet shrimp. Gea really love this kind of food
"Thank you for the place and the food really suits my taste"
"I'm glad you enjoyed, it's JJ who found this place" Dave answers Gea and give thumbs up to JJ.
"every spot in the restaurant is reserved for three to five hours after you place your order, mostly the customer spend more time to enjoy the view and the setting," JJ explains how the restaurant managed.
" How would you prefer your coffee or tea serve?" the waitress comes by to place the next order.
As JJ explains, the restaurant did offer this kind of thing if the customer would like to spend more time in their spot, either to enjoy the view or just enjoy each other companies. Each spot is ways apart.
"I'd like black coffee no sugar, please," Gea told what she wants her to drink
"I'll have Jasmine tea" Dave order his
"I want Jasmine tea as well, that's, for now, thank you " JJ sign the waitress that she may leave.
This place is really a good place for an entertainer to spent their time without a single reporter around and the restaurant is really strict about the information and the security of their customers.
Rumour said it belongs to one of the best entertainers, therefore his or her restaurant concepts are build in order to accommodate their needs.
Gea falling in love with the place as it could be a session place or even just a place for her getaway sometimes when she can't go back to B city.
As soon as he finished his tea, JJ gave the car key to Dave and apologize for his sudden leave. Dave manager need extra hands to arrange and finalize Dave contract, considering Dave has nothing in his schedule today, He asked for JJ help.
Dave was wondering if Gea was okay, with JJ leaving them.
"Are you want to leave as well?" Dave asking Gea
Thinking she already called Andrea to notify her late arrival, Gea reply "Nah... I still have time, if you have to leave as well, can I still stay here?" Gea really enjoyed the place
"Sure, if you want to, but I don't have to leave and still want to stay here as well." Dave has nothing to do as his schedule was already cleared for the whole day.
Gea starts to know more about Dave as they spent more time and seems Dave more opened up and relax in these kinds of environment.
Gea make a note to herself that Dave is a person who really enjoys time with someone or people who he considered close and not work-related
"Gea... to be honest, I found you a really interesting person to get to know. I won't say that I like you as a woman, however, I felt some connection with you, and would really like to know more of you and be close to you either as friends or even a family " Dave honestly told Gea His motive for today meeting.
" Hmmm, as long as you being honest with me and yourself, I can't see any reason to say no" Gea do feel the connection like Dave and thinking nothing to loose
Gea is not a person that would easily start any relationship with others, but she is not a person that would reject it when someone offers it.
They spent the rest time left at the restaurant before Dave dropped Gea at the train station.
They exchange their personal number before apart from each other.
